I received the same call as everyone else, but congess is the one to blame. They passed a law allowing scamers to call cell phones. Who do you think got a big payoff from that?

Question? Are you receiving these calls on your AT&T cell number? Did you recently get help with your internet service provided by AT&T? Have you ever done an internet speed test with or downloaded an app from BANDWIDTH.COM??? This is how it started for me. I am receiving the same calls from Joseph at W N Positions. The number is 318-239-9880. Bandwidth.com owns this number!!!! They are the service provider! They tell me they provide the service for another company, but cannot give me the name of that company. I was told to go to there legal section and report the number. May not stop these calls, but its a place for us all to begin.  I just informed AT&T internet about this issue and they are pretty concerned, which surprised and pleased me. I recommend calling your service provider. Your personal information within your account may have been compromised. FYI: people nationwide (not just locally) are receiving calls from the same company from various numbers that all trace back to Bandwidth.com, who specializes in voiceover IP services.

I'm pretty sure this is not a mass calling warehouse. Maybe just some guy in Shreveport looking to make some money by telemarketing (read: annoying the sh*t out of) random people and using his own phone/cell number. So we should all just call him back at random hours and see how he likes getting calls from strangers making strange requests.

I also got a call from this number saying the exact same thing.  I think it was a phishing attemp.  Told me that I filled out a survey online to get a job at wal-mart.  I am in the military; why would I be trying to work at wal-mart!

Weirdest Call....It was on my voicemail....just several strange beeps.  Very annoying!

Look. I got a call on my private cell saying that I had filled out a servay for a job search. I confronted what turned out to be an automated guy "joseph" and he says sorry I was unable to help today and hangs up....not cool.

Received call - no one answered, finally hung up after about 30 seconds. Bizarre. My number is on the Do Not Call list, and I most certainly want to turn in creeps like this!!!

Gotta call from this number, but he hung up before I could answer (3 rings).  Thinking about calling him back and telling him I was calling in regard to a survey that he filled out on www.beastiality.com.

Yes to MM above that asked about 318 numbers. Thankfully have had few of these type calls on my cell phone but this guy called a few minutes ago. Had to say hello a few times then he came on the line saying he was calling in response to an online survey I had completed. I said I haven't completed an online survey (although I have months or years ago but nothing that would spawn a call that I know of). I asked how did you get my number and he said he didn't know when or the details but I had completed a survey for a Walmart gift card saying I wanted a job. ?? I said no I had not. He said do you want a job? (Wouldn't mind a job but not from some strange source like this.) I said no and he said alright. ! And he hung up. Crazy.

I received a phone call from this number318-239-9880. He told me someone in my household recently filled out a survey and that he would like to ask a few questions and may have a job offer. When I asked them who filled out the job survey, where he was calling from and what company he represented, the individual just hung up the phone.

He never said where he was from or what company he represented, even though I asked.

Hopefully this gets figured out soon! I don't appreciate phone calls at 6 a.m.!

I answered "Hello" and then it went to an automated voice messaging system, like if I was leaving someone a message. I then hung up. I have a 318 cell phone, but live in Texas so it is unusual for someone from a 318 number calling me without me know who they are or expecting a call from someone. Are they calling other 318 numbers?

The scammer earns a fee for every person he can refer to schools. Beware that if you fall for this, you'll be buried by solicitation calls from schools, likely private schools, as enrollments have fallen in the past year.

He said that I completed an online survey looking for jobs. This is not true.  I am not looking for a job. I am currently employed and have been for years. The call was to my cell phone, a number which I am careful about giving out.

He kept telling me he could get me a job but would not tell me where he was calling from.  He said he had to ask me a lot of questions then i hung up

It may not be automated, but it definitely has a lag time for responses.  Said he was calling in response to an online survey that I had filled out, which I had recently.  He said that I had stated that I was looking for a job.  I told him that I was AT my job, and that I was NOT looking for one.  He said Thank You and hung up.

I believe it is automated. Like it had questions that it would be asked in its database to know what to answer back.  I just had that call and since I am applying for employment but told him I don't remember applying for any such thing online, it said it can still help me locate work locally as long as I answered a few questions.  When I asked how do I know it was not spam, it anwered, " sorry, goodbye."

The caller said he was calling on behalf of a survey I filled out online. He ask me how I was doing I said I am doing fine and you don't have my permission to be calling my phone and I hung up...

He called about the same thing. I couldn't tell if it was automated or not. So I didnt say anything for a minute and he said "hello?" And when he asked if I would be interested in going back to school I said I was finished wiyh school and he hung up. What is the purpose of these calls?

Received a call from this number, the caller said his name was Joseph and he was calling about an online survey I completed. I said I didn't take any online survey and he just hung up on me.

So the same thing just happened to me, and I answered his questions. After about five of them, he told me "due to one or more of your answers, you don't qualify" and hung up. Weirdest thing ever. I haven't even taken a survey.

Also got a call from this number. However, they said nothing just hung up. Just s few minutes ago....will not be returning the call.

Thank you for the info.  I just received a call from them too.  He said his name was Joseph Pete or something of that nature.  Sad thing about that, I'm not looking for employment.  He just hung up on me when I ask him for his name and who he represent.  Dump idiot.

Caller claimed to be responding to an online survey they said I took in regards to finding a job. They asked for personal information such as name, zip code, birthday, etc. ( I provided false information because I did not complete an online survey, although I am seeking employment ) They then said I "qualified" for school at no cost to me. They wanted to transfer me to an education specialist but I told them I was not interested in more education and hung up.
