Scam call for vacations

phj - I disagree with your comment, and I don't think you understand what the J2 business is (a legitimate business service for business resources).  I've already said that I don't believe it's J2 calling you, but that their phone # has been programmed into the spamming caller's ID.  
They can't take you off their call list, if they're not calling you.  Yes, I received calls on both my phone lines today, but I know it's not really J2 calling me.
Additionally, J2 is a business, and does not send spam faxes.  If you have received thousands of spam faxes, the blame lies elsewhere.
I am not a J2 employee.  I'm just a customer, and I'm seeing the blame wrongly applied here.

EFax services buy fax number lists from people who haven't the right to put these lists together, let alone profit from them. They PRETEND to provide a number to call to be taken off the lists, but you never are. i have gotten 1000's of junk faxes thru the years...and that paper costs money. And the annoyance of tying up your phones lines when client might be calling, etc.

These people, and those who hire them, are as bad as the worst, most pesty, most F--- You attitude kind of telemarketers.

J2 is a legitimate company.  I am a customer as I have used (bought) their EFax service for 11 years.  Their caller ID # is likely being spoofed.

That is not correct.  If it was I would get more than the one call/year I get now.

321-256-7789 is registered to a phone in Florida. Information received from website:
http://www.computerhope.com/areacode.htm. No message left. Telemarketer. Note: Whatever you do, DO NOT PLACE YOUR PHONE NUMBER ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST! If you do, your phone will ring off the hook.  This is because some organizations are exempt. Some are political, private  foundations, or religious, just to mention a few. You are telling them that you are a viable phone number in working order. Your number will be placed on a list for them to call you. List are traded amongst telemarteters.

Anoying unwanted calls

Called in the early evening.  Left no message.  I am on the "Do Not Call" list.

Just got a call that came up with this number in the ID portion of caller ID and the phone number in the number portion.  Answered, no one said a word.  Go figure.

I've also had several "hang up" calls from them!

I received a number of calls.  they donn't wait for answer  and just hang up.  Leave missed call messages.

A BIG BULLSH*T TO MR NEWMAN since they have these workers cover their a***s in these kind of telemarketing sites.  Go visit other websites like this and read what other say about J2 Global and it is all the same, scams for a trip "you may have won"...."may have" folks.  J2 Global is tracking no one down because the "them" is "them".  Make sense.

Annoying. These jerks need to be shut down permanently. Recorded message at dinner time stating I may have won a trip to Disneyland. Pleeeeez. I filled a complaint with the don not call registry and also with Disney. Please do the same. If Disney knows they are giving them a bad name they will pressure them to shut down.

Unwanted call, no message left from J2 Global Commu. On the Do Not Call registry.

Called land line; number only in caller ID -- did not leave message. And I, too, am on the no-call registry.

j2 Global is not making or facilitating calls referenced in these posts, and encourages anyone who receives a call with a caller ID showing "j2 Global" to report this activity to the FTC and their state's Attorney General's Office.

These calls are being made by a third party "spoofing" the j2 Global name as a caller ID.

Spoofing can, and should be reported to the FTC via phone at 1.877.382.4357 or online at http://www.ftc.gov/. You should be able to locate your state?s Attorney General?s Office information online.

Received a call from 321-256-7789 with name J2 Global Communication, did not leave any message on the answering machine.

Two calls from J2 Global Communication.  First was hang up with no message then 20 min later some telemarketer on poor line tries to sell me timeshare in Florida.  Obvious scammers.  Told them to never call back.  Doesnt J2 look at DNC list??

These calls are not actually originating from j2 Global.  j2 Global does not run any scams.
The scammer has misrepresented themselves.
j2 is working to track them down and put a stop to it.

Hung up when answering machine went off.  Am on do not call registry.  Says JS Global Commu  I am sure it is a scam.

Phone rang three times and stopped before answering machine picked up.
