The "Organization for Energy Savings". Although I selected the option to be removed from their calling list, they called again a few weeks later. I spoke with someone who said they were going to have "technicians in my area"...when I asked what area that was, after much hesitation, followed by guessing, she couldn't come within 30 miles.
My guess is that this is a scam organization attempting to get home owners to sign up for energy audits, followed by home modifications that they would get whatever government rebates they could. The operator claimed that they had already been paid to provide this service as a government program and, as such, they weren't "selling" anything. Yeah, right!
When I asked her to remove me from their list, she claimed that she couldn't do that?!?! I then asked for a phone number to contact the company and she couldn't give me one. I then asked to talk to her supervisor, was told that I could, but then got disconnected...go figure.
