Yes.  Got these same texts a few months ago, but when I pressed who was sending them, they stopped.  I suspected an old crazy girlfriend.  They knew my name and said she knows me better than I know her.  Texts are from 719-766-7589.  I called it from a work phone and it's an automated text site with no phone up.
The texts started again yesterday.  They knew the color and type of vehicle I drove, but not make or model.  Hmm.  She wanted to come to my house but I said no to that and agreed on a local coffee shop, still thinking it's my ex.  So while i'm waiting she texts and says her husband found her texts and she told him everything and he is going to call me.  WHAT?  HUSBAND?  That was news.  So wierd.  No call came, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what the scam is.  Apparently it was not the ex-girlfriend.  The number is getting blocked as soon a I figure out how.
I'm not on e-Harmony so that's not a connection for me.

I got the message.  Called the number and met the hottest chic ever.  We had total NSA sex!  She even brought her friend.  Definitely call if you're a dude or lesbo

All the people who received the same message is because you probably went to a strip bar, text a number to get in for free.  Mystery resolved.

i got the same message yesterday, originating from (415) 236-7246, stating to call the (323) number.

I got the text with my name in the message, however the text came from 435-729-7417.  The text said "Hey (my name), I got your number from a friend (hope it's right) I think ur sexy, call me to meet ;)" So creepy.

I recieved a text message from 3019972315  stating "Hey (my first name), I got your number from a friend (I hope its right) I think ur sexy..call me at 323-404-9175 if u want to meet (wink happy face)

I got the same message yesterday.  Did anyone actually call the # they provided?

I received the same message but they used my sister's name.  It made sense that someone had hacked into eHarmony system.

I also received a text from 413-758-2043 telling me to call 323-404-9175. Saying a friend gave them my number because they think I'm "sexy". weird....It did use my name too.

I got the same text (from a 610 area code) as everyone else. I had a male co-worker call the first 610 number from his cell phone. A woman answered w/kids in the background who had no idea who i was. I think her number was randomly used as the sender. My co-worker then called  323-404-9175 and it was a sex hotline. I feel bad now because who knows what they'll text him in the future.

I got one yesterday with my name in the text. The text said to call 323-404-9175 but it was from 908 434 6085

Got the scam txt:
Hey name, I got your number from a friend (I hope its right) I think ur sexy.. call me at (323) 404-9175 if u want to meet ;-)

I got the same text, using my name!!!

Got the same message "Hey <my name>, I got your number from a friend (I hope its right) I think ur sexy.. call me at (323) 404-9175 if u want to meet ;-)".  The text came from a Minnesota number, 350 area code.  Deleted it before I wrote down the number.  I suspect too that it's related to the hacking recently at Epsilon of all the email addresses used by a lot of big retailers.

I got a text (from a different number) asking me to call the 323 number.

Glad I'm not the only one who got that creepy message. I got two, the first was the "Hey (insert name) I got your (etc)" from 862-201-2681 with the 323-404-9175 number embedded in it.

THEN got a second text shortly after from 612-840-3216 stating "Only thing better than using ur FREE CALL to talk 2 me is the way I'll satisfy ur fantasies! Me & ur FREE CALL are waiting 4 u & 8663332843"

yes they used my name.

I received the same message. I found out that this is a landline and probably can be easily traced. I'm going to be extra careful from now on and not give out my number if I don't have to.

Got same message

I got the following message from a 208 area code number:

"Hey sarah, I got your number from a friend (I hope its right) I think ur sexy...call me at (323) 404-9175 if you want to meet. ;-)"

I received the same message and was only concerned because they had my first name.  My text came from (857) 217-0343 which is a Boston area code and they asked me to call a (323) number which is Los Angeles.  I hope someone can investigate and put a stop to this.

i got the same msg last night....Hey name, I got your number from a friend (I hope its right) I think ur sexy.. call me at (323) 404-9175 if u want to meet ;-) ....it was from a 651 area code.  and i'm not on eharmony or the others sites that were mentioned...although i did get a notification from my back saying that info was leaked through epsilon, the third party marketing vendor...

I just got this text too, from 253-358-7797, containing my first name. What the hell.
