I received a call from this number several times and the guy said his name was Steven Martin. When I called back I spoke with a Mark who had such a heavy accent that it was very hard to understand him, rude and talked over me.He claims that I owed them a debt that he was trying to collect on and that if I didn’t pay that I would go to jail. I asked him what is name of company he said it was Cash Advance Group for a payday loan, I also asked how much they claim I owe, he didn’t answer stating that he didn’t have that information and said that I was going to be sue me for $5,000 which he knew I didn’t have and that I would have to come to California to go to court. He claims that he was an attorney. He then tried me to confirm my Bank name and account number, The guy ONLY wanted to question me and wouldn't allow me to ask him any questions. I told him this is a scam because I haven’t taken any pay loans. I asked him to stop calling me and hung up.

I got several calls from this number on yesterday.  The person that called me said that her name was Christy Martin and she was calling from first state attorney office.  I didn't talk to Christy Martin but the lady that I did talk to was very rude and said that I owe a debt with this law office.  When I was asking her about the debet she just screamed at me and told me that I wold have to come to court in California if I didn't want to go to jail.  The lady was very very rude and unprofessional.

Law enforcement agencies do not have the manpower to go after every scammer so about all you can do is to report him to the Internet Crime Complaint Center http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

I received a phone call from this # 323-809-4522, the guy left me a voice message, which I saved, threating me; does anyone know, is it possible to do  something against them, since the "purple guy" who called me left his info..(name and phone number). Please advice. Thanks.

323-809-4522 same number called me and my job I pretended to be a lawyer, since they are acting like they are and I stated my client is getting phone calls that are threatening I am reporting this to federal trade commision, and the better business bureau then tried to call him back they wont answer, the indian guy who answered changed his name three times while I was on the phone with him, How the Potential Scam May Work

   * Representatives of Williams Law Office make unsolicited telephone calls to consumers at home or at work. The scammers tell consumers that they are being prosecuted for loan fraud, bank fraud or check fraud because they have defaulted on a payday loan
   * The scammers claim to be attorneys collecting a debt
   * The scammers may threaten the consumer with immediate arrest
   * The scammers usually tell consumers that they received a payday loan of several hundred dollars in 2008, they may tell the consumer that the debt has increased to several thousand dollars
   * The scammers demand immediate payment of the debt by providing a checking account or credit card number
   * If a consumer pays the scammers, they will continue to aggressively contact that consumer for even more money
   * These scammers are highly persistent and may make dozens of threatening calls in a short period of time

I received the same call today about 6 times, and finally got a call back.  This starts with a heavy accented person calling your job saying you have been approved for a loan and try to aggresivly accept a loan you did not take out.  Then a day later I get a call saying a need an lawyer for this same loan.  The two men are a Mark and Scott. I called this number back 323-809-4522 stating I was from a law firm requesting there information they sounded like scared little puppies and told me not to call them and were did I get their number from.  I have called my bank and set up identiy protection.

received numerous calls from a Mark, with a heavy Indian accent, telling me to retain a criminal attorney for a debt that I had, and to appear in the CA court if I didnt want to be arrested.  He said he worked for the CA State Attorneys office, and my SS # would be blacklisted for a year.  He said I owed $5,400 but for $985 I could close the case, which was for a payday loan that I never took. He said he didnt believe me and I was making a fool of him.  I told him to prove that I had received money and he could not.  I asked to speak to someone without a heavy accent but he told me I couldnt.  I asked to speak to the restitution manager but he said no.  He was extremely rude, and hung up on me.  I kept calling back, and I will continue to harass them like they harrassed me.  It is a total scam.  Dont give them any money.

These people called my job and my cell... I have never borrowed money from a cash place so I want ot know how they have my info!  I recieved the same name.. Michael Johnson, he sounded Indian and there was a lot of noise in the background.  The number was 3238094522, for Scott Williams.  He told me to call the number back.. .I did and it said the voicemail was full.

The number 323-809-4522 is not list in the phone companies database. These people will pretend to be law  enforcement. I urge you to retaliate. Call them back. Harass them just as much as they harass you . tell them you are going to report them to IC3 internet crime unit. this complaint operation work as an internet fraud reporting agency. Call the law firms or agencies that the claim they are representing. The more people involved are the more people can do to stop this type of fraud. Gather as much info that you possible can. Be vigilant. These people are not above the law. GOOGLE! GOOGLE! strange phone numbers. GOOGLE! phone scams. GOOGLE the callers name although it may be phony. Just don't give in. Contact your bank, phone company and local police station. You do not want to block your phone line as you proceed in you fight for justice as you may want to trace these calls. Protect your rights

got a call from Scott Williams yesterday, said he was an attorney  representing Michael Johnson law firm. he said I was being sued for an unpaid Ez-cash paid day loan. He had all of my personal info.I believe this information was sold to him by DJR group or their parent company Alisa which is also a pay day loan operation. Beware of these people  !! I got about 10 calls from this number today and it was from a foreign person that you could hardly understand.  He said he was an attorney and I needed to hire a criminal lawyer for an online debt I had.  I told him I filed bankruptcy last year and he hung up on me.

Got three calls from them yesterday looking for someone I know.  Person has a terrible accent; very hard to understand.  He is very rude.  I ask him not to call my number again.  He said, "I will call you one hundred thousand times if I want".  I told him this was my # and not to call again.  He asked "who are you; what is your relation to ___________".  I told it was none of his business who I was or what my relationship was that I would deliver the message (call back #).  Today he called asked why I had not delivered the message.  I told him I had delivered the message.  He said he would continue to call my number.  I told him I would turn him over to Attorney General if he continued to harass me.  He told me he would call "one hundred thousand times if he wanted" and I could not stop him.

i have had the sane person call me form a different phone # 6193310927 giving the name of prince Kennedy. the message left on my phone was that i should retain an attorney off record to return the call pertaining to a debt collection. i have reported the 6193310927 to my local law enforcement and opened a case. with the 3238094522 number i contacted the federal trade commission in Washington dc. these call are very annoying how can they be stopped.
