I GET A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER AND I CALL BACK AND IT SAYS PLEASE HOLD FOR NEXT AVALIBLE AGENT AND HANGS UP ON YOU

I just received one of these calls.  When we answered, the person on the other end said "Have a nice day." then hung up.

I am an ADT customer, so I called the ADT number 888-238-2727 to report this.  They apologized after taking down the number and told me that I would be removed from the list.

HERE IS AN UPDATED LIST: I have been doing a little investigating on these numbers used for  "Thomas Home Protection" , "Tom at Home Protection Services" ,
 " Tom with Home Security Group" and "Home Protect". The  phone numbers are most likely from some unknown telemarketer(s), pranksters
or possibly scammers. Here are some of the numbers that I have found that seem to be connected with
Home security so far, there are probably many more. Though occasionally some of the numbers are also used for other purposes-lower morgtage, credit card, test drive
a car, computer virus removal and so on, they usually eventually tie back into the "Home Security" line using the same number. You can do what you want but I am not answering any numbers I do not recognize, especially these. I suggest putting a block on these nuisance numbers if you are able to,

There probably are other numbers. Who know who is really behind these calls. For all I know it could
be Homeland Security trying to snoop dog on everyone (just a thought). Most likely it is just some troublemakers.

You need to report them for them to stop. If you are on the do not call list and they keep calling even though you've told them to stop, go to the do not call web site and there is an FAQ that tells how to report abusers.

I have been receiving multiple calls per day from 323 863 7187.  I cannot block this caller on my older and inexpensive cell phone.  Will Verizon block it for me?

This number calls all day long over and over. They use 2 different numbers to call from but same people. I've even yelled to stop calling and they still do. These are the numbers.323-863-7187 & 561-291-9266 I'm glad I have a regular phone now where I can block any number I wish too. These people need to be shut down and charged with spamming violations.

the ID says they are from california, but they are from belgium!!!!

when i call them i hear "thank you for calling please hold for the next available agent" then it hangs up.

call this number for unsolicted phone calls.............1-888-382-1222.......in amonth your calls will be stop.....by fcc

if get them to stop calling if you anwser you going get them on hassment it work for me..

getting too  many calls from this number

i got a call from the same number tonight(5/5/2011) and called back but with no answer. idk what it is but it needs to be stopped. im gonna call tomorrow and talk to whoever it is. thanks for the help saying it was adt.

Every week I get multiple calls from 323-863-7187 and have instructed them to take me off their list but with no success.

I called this number back and was connected with ADT Home Security.  If that helps.

Receive phone calls from this number but no one is ever there!!

a call from these folks woke me up early this morning and I didn't get to the phone to answer it. I called back and it was ADT security with some "free" offer. I told them to put me on their do not call list though I am already on the do not call registry.

just got the call myself (323-863-7187). called back and it was ADT tryin to install a "free" security system.  I asked to be removed from their call list.  We'll seeee.....

They want to give me free security for my house.  I don't live in a house.  I live in a gated apartment community.  I get the same recording every time they call.

They called me twice today on my cell phone & hung up. I called back & they said, "how can we help you". They didn't even say what company they were with. I said that I was on the national do not call registry & they need to remove me from their list. She mumbled something about "ok, fine, we got it, BYE" and hung up. Rude.

Non-American accent and uncomfortable pause makes me believe it is a VoIP call from out of country.

Oh, according to other posts, this call was from ADT Security.  These SCUMBAGS have come to my home several times wanting to sell their stupid ADT Security System..............Sick of um - wish somebody would douse them with gasoline and light a match....................
