Sorry - it's an expensive lesson but could have been worse. NEVER send money or give people info unless you fully know and trust them. If someone contacts you by phone or internet (even if they have a really believable story) check them out ! google them ! google their phone number, google the Company name, ask for their name and address and check that too ! And then tell them to send you something in writing by mail and check that too!
Bob 2014-06-07 01:51:42 Unknown
The sad fact is that "Legit American companies ARE going to employ people that can't speak fluent English" - there are tons of American Companies that have sadly "outsourced" their call centers to India and Pakistan to save money and make bigger profits. This isn't one of them, they are an obvious scam. And for "legit" companies using foreign call services : when they call me I call the company's Corporate Office and cancel my service and tell them why. I last cancelled my TV/Internet service for this reason. If they don't employ people living here - I don't employ them ! ...even if it costs me a few bucks ...

You money is gone. You have been scammed. These are loan scammers who work out of India. They will not refund anything.
No ligieitmate lender is going to loan you money over thephone. Same for e-mail. On-line alpplcations are suspect becaue there is no information security.
Any time someone with an Indian accent calls you and either threatens you are offers you something you know it i s 100% a scam.
Never send money to someone you don't personally know.

You're a fraud. Would you like to contest the matter with me?
I'll be a little more concise then. You're a fraud. A cheat. A liar.
Would you like to talk about the matter? I thought not. You're a coward sitting there trying to scam money.
Do you think you're actually a person?

For informational purposes:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0078-advance-fee-loans
Some red flags can tip you off to scam artists? tricks. For example:
A lender who isn?t interested in your credit history. A lender may offer loans or credit cards for many purposes ? for example, so you can start a business or consolidate your bills. But one who doesn?t care about your credit record should worry you. Ads that say ?Bad credit? No problem? or ?We don?t care about your past. You deserve a loan? or ?Get money fast? or even ?No hassle ? guaranteed? often indicate a scam.
Banks and other legitimate lenders generally evaluate creditworthiness and confirm the information in an application before they grant firm offers of credit to anyone.
Fees that aren't disclosed clearly or prominently. Scam lenders may say you?ve been approved for a loan, then call or email demanding a fee before you can get the money. Any up-front fee that the lender wants to collect before granting the loan is a cue to walk away, especially if you?re told it?s for ?insurance,? ?processing,? or just ?paperwork.?
Legitimate lenders often charge application, appraisal, or credit report fees. The differences? They disclose their fees clearly and prominently; they take their fees from the amount you borrow; and the fees usually are paid to the lender or broker after the loan is approved.
And if a lender says they won?t check your credit history, but wants your personal information, like your Social Security number or bank account number? Go somewhere else. They may use your information to debit your bank account to pay a fee they?re hiding.
A loan that is offered by phone. It is illegal for companies doing business by phone in the U.S. to promise you a loan or credit card and ask you to pay for it before they deliver.
A lender who uses a copy-cat or wanna-be name. Crooks give their companies names that sound like well-known or respected organizations and create websites that look professional. Some scam artists have pretended to be the Better Business Bureau, a major bank, or another reputable organization; some even produce forged paperwork or pay people to pretend to be references. Always get a company?s phone number from the phone book or directory assistance, and call to check they are who they say they are. Get a physical address, too: a company that advertises a PO Box as its address is one to check out with the appropriate authorities.
A lender who is not registered in your state. Lenders and loan brokers are required to register in the states where they do business. To check registration, call your state Attorney General?s office or your state?s Department of Banking or Financial Regulation. Checking registration does not guarantee that you will be happy with a lender, but it helps weed out the crooks.
A lender who asks you to wire money or pay an individual. Don?t make a payment for a loan or credit card directly to an individual; legitimate lenders don?t ask anyone to do that. In addition, don?t use a wire transfer service or send money orders for a loan. You have little recourse if there?s a problem with a wire transaction, and legitimate lenders don?t pressure their customers to wire money.
Finally, just because you?ve received a slick promotion, seen an ad for a loan or credit card in a prominent place in your neighborhood or in your newspaper, on television or on the Internet, or heard one on the radio, don?t assume it?s a good deal ? or even legitimate. Scam artists work hard to make you think they're legitimate, so it?s really important to do your homework.
Dealing with Debt
If you have debt problems, try to solve them with your creditors as soon as you realize you won?t be able to make your payments. If you can?t resolve the problems yourself or you need help to do it, you may want to contact a credit counseling service. Nonprofit organizations in every state counsel and educate people and families on debt problems, budgeting, and using credit wisely. Often, these services are free or low-cost. Universities, military bases, credit unions, and housing authorities also may offer low- or no-cost credit counseling programs.

I recieved a call from this number and believed that i was able to get a loan. I was instructed to buy a money pak and then give them the number and then I would recieve the money. When the money didn't show I called them back to ask why the money wasn't there. They told me it was being held by the insurace department and that I would need to verify another amoun of money, so I did because I could really us the money. Still didn't recieve the money so I called back. This time I was toldI didn't get the money because my bank does not accepts wire transfers and that if I still want the money I would have to pay another service charge for an new application or for then to send it by Western Union. I told them that I can not pay that I was told by a Mr Tom Parkrr that they would refund me the money I sent them but I would have to call the next day,That was yesterday. So I called today and I was told that cant cancel at the point because its the banks problem and if I want my money back I would have to do it through the court.

Beware! This number is use to scam people. They are call center from India pretending they are in the US. They have have an Indian accent and they all have intention to steal your money. They get your information when you apply for payday
loans or through bogus government grant. Their modus operandi is to tell you that you have been approved for a 5,000 loan but you need to buy a green dot money pak and give them the number at the back. Once you gave that number they can take away your cash and it is not traceable. I hope the FBI will get this people!!

I got an email from this company and they instructed me to call . Looking and reading at your comments, seems like the same group of people who have scammed me.
Margaret 2014-03-12 16:24:06 Unknown
Just received a call but didn't answer. If and when I do answer and the person on the other end speaks with a thick accent, I immediately hang up. Legit American companies are not going to employ people that can't speak fluent English. Especially to make phone calls. Always be very cautious.
Adrian 2014-03-06 21:59:48 Unknown
They did the same thing to me to how can we report them as a scam and sew.
Skeeter 2014-02-13 23:23:14 Telemarketer
I received about 50 calls in a week from 330-460-4807 from a foreign caller who really was not fluent in English I spoke to many many different people with thick accents and could hear a slew of other people I am sure this was a call center. I asked every call to be removed from their call list and they all said theyw ere. I also asked for their website and the told me they were calling from Global Loans and that I had applied for a payday loan. But they would not give me the where their office was located or direct me to a website to officially request they stop calling me. Each time they told me they would take me off their list and they didn't.
I apply to a legit company for a payday loan and since I have received about 300 calls all from varying false caller id's all telling me phoney names and I am so desperate or these calls to stop.
