Same here.  Got the same call, from the same number, my mother recently passed.  I never signed for anything which is odd how they got my number.  THye did not leave a message, when I went to answer they hung up, I decided to google the number and came across this forum, glad I did.  

It is the cemetery people . they want to " verify " your address so they can send you the information you requested , I simply ignore their requests . I filled out the card and mailed it now I just want the information sent . do not want to be harassed by a sales person trying to hard sell me something .
This is why I have a magic jack . All they get is a voice mail and I get an email with attachment to listen to if I wish .

I was called on my cell phone, that I have on my states and the national do-not-call-list. It was 800-491-8001. I did not answer, but I called it back. I got voice message giving me prompts. The message stated it was from Stone Mor Partners(don't have any idea if I'm spelling it correctly-thats how it sounded). That was my first call from them. I've hever herd from them before, or have had anyone close to me pass away. I did, about 2 years ago call a cemetary to begin looking into info on matters relatinh to final expense, etc. Some gal called me back and still does every now and then, but I blow her off. I don't think she is related to tbis company though? If I continue to get calls from this number, I will contact both dp-not-call-list organizations, plus I'll contact these folks and get as Medieval as I can over the phone.

The number also shows as 330-491-2177.  Doesn't leave a message, but keeps calling.  Just awful.

I woke up to these guys calling me this morning.  My voice-mail normally picks up after 4 rings. However, when these people call, my voice-mail doesn't pick-up at all.  I think someone may be trying out new phone phishing software or phone monitoring software.  And since we bundle with Comcast ( which is owned by NBC ) and we are Christian Conservatives and support the Tea Party, I wouldn't be at all surprised if "Planning Cemetery" or whatever they want to call themselves, is just another arm of the Obama Administration enemies list.  They have used the I.R.S. already.  Do you really think they would STOP there?  And judging from your comments and their area code (330), it appears that I am not the only one.  Isn't Cincinnati near Canton, Ohio?

Got a call from this number, no caller id; I didn't answer.  My mom passed away recently, and I, too, find this offensive and rather heartless.  Even if I was looking for a company, I wouldn't call them back!  :)  Thanks everyone for posting!

my husband passed away 3 months ago and I just started getting these phone calls..Guess they will get a surprise when I block their number the next time they try to call....

My mom recently passed also. I have received a few calls from this company but l have not answered since l did not know the number. I just called to have them remove my number and l got a recorded message to leave my name, number, city and state. I left my number and state, told them to remove it immediately. Guess it will work, who knows.i

I keep getting calls from this number on my cell phone.  I ignore them not knowing who the call is from. Glad to see in here who it is so I know to keep ignoring it. Nice to have a forum like this to find out about numbers like that.

also had a loved one just recently pass and have been getting calls from this number- it just comes up as "Canton Ohio' on caller ID now... thanks for the posts... I know now to just ignore!!

Yep I filled out a card not too long ago myself for cemetary info, etc.  LOL....that's why I don't answer numbers I don't know.  SMH.....something told me not to complete that card!!!

Funeral pre-planning - cemetary sales all across the nation. This call came to me only after I requested information.

These dumb b*****ds keep calling and it's really pissing me off.  I'd love to buy a plot from them, put a bullet in their head and bury them in the grave.  lol

My wife just passed away...and now this number 330-491-8001 keeps calling me.on my cell phone!  The nicest thing I can say is "Grave Robber" and this is uncalled for!

They called me from this number but all the wanted was to do a survey and the cemetery that my father was recently buried at. They ask how the cemetery appearance was, how the staff treated us and if they explained the after care packet. That's all they wanted.

My mother recently passed away, as well, and they just called me.  How odd is that????  How heartless.

Woman on the end of the line asked how I was doing since my mother passed. I asked her who she was with and she said Ridouts (a local funeral svcs chain in AL). I asked her how she got my name and number since my father and I PURPOSFULLY did no business with Ridouts. She said she didn't know how she got it, it was just on her call sheet. I asked how she got her call sheet and she said it came from her corporate office. I asked for a number for her corporate office and she said she didn't have that information. She interrupted to say I was under no obligation to purchase anything and she just wanted to know how I was doing. I said, "Stop pretending we're old friends. My mother passed away; how the hell do you think I'm doing?" She wanted to know if I wanted my name removed from her list and told me to have a good day.

They have called me at least 2x a week for the last month or so. I never answer the phone but am starting to get very annoyed with the seemingly endless calls from them. I think next time I will pick up the phone and give them a good reason not to call me anymore. How does this happen when my number is listed on the Do Not Call list? Too many scumbags operating in this country to try and rip people off.

This number called today and by their CID it was obvious what they were trying to sell.  They are a very aggressive corporation that is greedy and I didn't even bother answering the call because I know all about who they are and what they want.  My wife passed away within the last two months and it gave me great delight to NOT do any business with this corporation and to give all of my business to one of their competitors which gave superb service and excellent prices compared to the others as well as having all of my trust and respect.  So, from me they got nothing and never will.  Only a corporation like this would resort to try and make their profits off of people by cold-calling over the phone, good places don't have to resort to that kind of thing, their reputation is enough to keep them solid.

These idiots call me at least once a week. They used to leave messages asking if I'd received the information they'd sent to me and then telling me to call them back. Well, since I never requested nor received any information from them, I've never returned a call. Wish someone could put jerks like this out of business.
