This guy left me a message.  I called him back and asked what he had called for.  He said something pissy about my number being blocked, so he didn't know why he called.  I asked if he could tell me what his business was, so that I could figure out why he had called me.  He said, "Listen lady, I'm warning you, you do not want to get smart with me!"  I told him not to threaten me.  He told me not to call him again?!?  Very odd, since he called me and I have nothing financed through any bank.  Made me very uncomfortable.

Investigator James is a real repo agent. He will call you, your family and follow you until he can get to your car. He is rude, aggressive and he WILL find you. If you have anything financed through Huntington, their repo center is allowed to out-source other repo agents. Ryan James works for them. If they cannot find your car or the owner, that is when he comes into play.
Don't answer his calls. If he is looking for YOU, head to your bank as soon as possible and if you put cash down on what you owe, they will put a hold on any activity.
This is not a scam, though I do believe it's about as crooked as it gets. Be prepared for outrageous fees and a long time spent on the phone.
He is not looking to chat with you or give you any information on what he's calling for. He's simply looking for you to track you down. Which by the way, can very easily be done with cell phones.

He definitely has to work for Huntington and he will contact you about your car whether you're late on payments or haven't paid. He will harass you, your family or any address you once lived at. Do NOT give him your information.

Definitely a repo guy. He's rude and works for at least Hunington bank. So if you have this number call you be warned he is for real and is looking for your car or something you have financed through the bank.

Investigator James called me.too. asking if I was related to some random people I said no and he said that he would remove me from something and tried to end the call. I asked what agency he was affiliated with and he said Stark County.. the worst one.. wtf ?

Same scam going on except his name is now investigator Jim Ryan. He would not tell me which agency he worked for or his number. He's a con looking for information. He said I would like his phone number. He rattled it off so fast it was area code 617 then he came up with a Birthday as Social Security number all of which meant nothing to me. I hung up, he called back I informed him he was a scam and until he can give me a number and location and who he works for to go pound sand.

This was tried on my wife about a year ago and then I gave no info I jst asked him questions which he would completely answer. I called the local PD and they said yes it's a scam and all officer would identify themselves.

This guy is legit!! I called him back and spoke with him. He is a PI for stark county Ohio. He was actually looking for the person that had bought my house back in 06. He has been looking for him for 8 months.

recieved a message at work the Jim Ryan from the Dallas Police dept wanted me to call him back at 214-491-5243 in reference to my old landlord...there is no such person working for the Dallas Police or Sherifs dept. I googled his name and read these postings. When I called the # 330-806-7414 the man that answered said he was Ryan James and an investigator from Ohio...Strange. Dropped it at that.

After the whole facebook thing, i had my mother call him, turns out he is NOT a scam. He is a real investigater.

This guy has not called me from this number...but he has got ahold of me on facebook telling me he is an investigator.. says he is investigating my mother and that i need to have her call him ASAP! I thought it was odd that he was using facebook for something like that. but now that i am reading this, i think it is a scam also...

daughter received a call from the above number yesterday, i called it and i told him i was checking into this call he said if your daughter is old enough to have a cell phone she can call, i said no but i will take your number with me to work and have a Deputy check it out he goes oh you trying to scare me with your deputy, i hung up.  but don't give any info, i believe it is a scam also.
