2014 and they are still at it. Got a call several months ago where they claimed to be visiting from Mexico. They asked me to mention cousins names, but I insisted on them telling me who they were first. Eventually they hung up after I gave no information. Had no idea it was a scam until now!!!

Don't know who they are, but certainly they are not good people. They call saying they are some kind of relative, they know know your name and some facts about you, they want money. I believe this scam is played mostly on hispanic people, they speak street spanish to perfection, police should be all over. US is becoming infested.

Don't answer! They are scammers.  They called speaking spanish saying they are relatives coming in to the city and then call saying the need money wired to them!!!!

Isn't it crazy that this is going on...my mom had it happen to her and they've called her on several occassions.  She's really scared.  You think there is something we can do?

Same thing they called talking in spanish saying they were my dad cousin but after some questioning they just hung up

A mi me han llamado de este número 3310791830 3 veces, una hace como 8 meses, otra hace como 4 y el día de ayer 12 ago 2011, siempre me dicen tio no sebe quien soy, soy su sobrino de los que estamos en estados unidos, y les contesto que no, e intentan sacarme algún nombere pero nunca les he dado niguno.
Estas llamadas se me hacen sospechosas ya que como no contesto lo que ellos quieren oir cuelgan.

Tengan cuidado por que la primera vez me comentaron que llamaban de usa y vi la lada que es de Guadalajara.

they called are house saying they were a cousin. they said he was on his way to san frasisco from mexicali, but on the way he had crashed and he needed money. befor we made any money arangments we called are "cousins" father to let him know what had happened and he told us that are story wasent posible because are real cousin was right next to him. when we realized what was going on the people called again and we started questioning him and when he realized that we were on to him he hung up the fone and never called again. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THESE FAKE FONE CALLS ! ! ! !

Por favor nunca diga un nombre por que ellos dijeron adivina quien soy y mi mama dijo Pedro entonces ellos dijeron si soy tu sobrino Pedro, y usaron la ,misma historia vienen de mexico por Mexicali llegana a Tijuana a recoger un remolque de San Francisco, me pidieron mi celular y se los di.

They call me today and ask  for my number, they said they had a business  here in California a said they will be here tomorrow. Did somebody report to the police?

Some one called saying when new them but after a few questions they just Hung up?

A MAN CALLED MY HOME PRETENDING TO BE A FAMILY MEMBER (COUSIN) SAYING THAT HE WAS COMING FROM TIJUANA TO SAN FRANCISCO TO PICK UP A BOAT THAT HE HAD PURCHASED FROM THE INTERNET AND WANTED TO LET US KNOW THAT HE WAS ON HIS WAY.  TWO HOURS LATER HE CALLED PRETENDING HE HAD HAD CAR TROUBLE TO GO PICK HIM UP. WHEN I TOLD HIM THAT HE WASN'T MY COUSINE AND THAT I HAD SPOKEN TO MY REAL COUSINE HE HANG UP.  PLEASE BE AWARE. I DONT' KNOW WHAT THEY WANT.

Ya tienen dias marcando de este numero dicen ke son familiares, hoy marque privado y me dijeron ke llegaban de chicago a monterrey a las 9:20 ke les hablara para ir a recogerlos....y les voy hablar para jugar con ellos asi como ellos juegan con nosotros
