Called, said he was family but was non-specific, hung up when we pushed him to say he was from San Luis Potosi, but hung up because we knew we didn't have family. Pretty sure he was just going down a phone book for Latino names for the same scam he pulled with the last posters Mother-in-law.

01/16/11 My mother-in-law received a phone called from a guy that supposedly was his nephew named Jose from Mexico and was coming to Los Angeles because he was coming to buy some computers to open a business with his friend. 30 minutes later she received another phone called and it was him again saying he had accident and had injured a little girl and the little girls parents had no money to pay the hospital, so that he needed to pay the hospital and he was in need of $500.00 that ones he got here he was going to pay her back. My mother-in-law called her sister in Mexico to see how was the nephew and it turn out to be that it was the nephew calling her it was a LIE. On 01/17/11 she received a phone called and was ones again supposedly the nephew and was asking for another $500.00 and was passing her a police officer to talk to her and was saying that he wanted $500.00 to bail the nephew out of jail. This time she did not fall for and made a police report.
