Same scenario, He said he was my nephew and bla bla but then I started preaching the gospel to him and he started laughing . I asked him,  are  you not  afraid to go to hell for doing to this to people and he said stealing is worst,  and I continued preaching .....

He said the exact story to us., and the creepy part was that he told us our home address ., beware!!

Man spoke Spanish Ans said he was my dads causin when we asked him how he was related he got mad and swore at me. These people are scamers don't give out any info

this man called saying he was my husband's cousin from Mexico he spoke to me in Spanish saying he was Manuel I knew right away it was a scam because my husband isn't even from Mexico but what really shocked me was when he knew my husband's name scary!!!!

Male Hispanic claiming to be nephew is asking to speak to his "uncle". Will beat around the bush to not answer who he is and when he is outsmarted will hang up. Asking to wire money. Do not fall for scam!!!

This is a type of "grandparent scam" only you insert "guess who relative, usually a nephew" The game goes along to call back and usually a accident or something has happened that entails sending money ..

A man with slight Spanish accent called speaking in Spanish claiming to be a nephew who was coming to visit tomorrow and that had called yesterday but no one answered.. This must be a scam of some kind.

Some Spanish speaking guy is calling all my family members from this number (331) 111-8596 claiming to be a family member. BEWARE of this, they are trying to scam you of money. After I spoke with them and catching them in lies they hung up.

My mom was called by some guy speaking Spanish he stated that he was her nephew ask for some money because he was being detained in customs and she gave them 1300 dollars via Western Union. total scam wish I could bust him in the head

I got a call for this number telling that my cousin is in Thijuana. They asked for money to send Hector Hugo Murillo Aguirre, from Servicios de Administracion Tributaria- Delitos Fiscales and other person named Hector Contreras. They said my cousin didn't pay taxes and I have to help him.

Caller claimed he was an uncle of a family member.  This is a scam.  No worries

they called both my mom and i claiming  to be family from Mexico. We don't even have family in Mexico. Be careful.

This number 331-111-8596 called me telling me he was my nephew from Mexico.  He said he was flying from Tijuana to Ontario, CA and would call me when he landed in Ontario.  He called again and said he was in Ontario and was coming over to my house.  I suspected he was trying to scam me and asked him what his father's name  was.  When I ask him this question, he hung up immediately.  Just a warning, do not answer this phone call or give this individual any information.  He will try to get information from you by asking you questions.

Got a call from this number from a man clamining he was a family member coming to visit us from Mexico. He wasvery suspecious and clever. DO NOT ANSWER THIS NUMBER IT'S A SCAM FOR MONEY.

This guy call my dad say he was  his nephaw coming to ontario asqing  hem to piken  hem up  den hhe call my house say he was in TJ stuck... Becuse he had 46thousen dolers they dint let hem go the attorney they talke.. Asking my dad for money my dad gifthem 1,600$$$$$ and they were asking for more that wen my dad notes it was scam.... Never trust that number .........

Some guy called my mom claiming to be her nephew.  Saying that he was stuck in TJ and needed her to talk to some attorney because he had been detained on the way to the US.
When the attorney guy got on the phone, the call ended.

Some guy from this number is calling all of my family one by one claiming to be a nephew from San Antonio TX and then he will call again claiming he is in Colorado Spring etc.  We are warning all of my inlaws to not answer these calls from these numbers beginning with 331.  My husband spoke the the person and told him we were on to their scam and they hung up.

Some called from this number speaking Spanish claiming he was a nephew. When I gave the phone to my husband they spoke a moment then the person calling hung up and did try to call back but we did not answer.

Scam! They called using my cousins name, we asked them questions about who they were and how we were related but they didn't know how to answer so they hung up.
