My family just received that exact phone call with the exact same story right down to the money he needed to get out of jail, even had a lawyer speak to us, and he was in jail for having $25K, cash in his suitcase, and we asked the same question why not pay with the money in suitcase and they gave us the same answer, they had called 2 days prior to let us know that our cousin was coming from Hungary and it was going to be a surprise and not to tell anyone, they even followed up the day after, (yesterday) and said he would be here by 7 pm, then today the phone call from Mexico

Received a call from 331-530-3469. He spoke fluently Hungarian,  He said he is a cousin of mine. He claimed that I should have recognized him and made me feel guilty that I did not recognize him. When I said I have no cousin the line "dropped".

Received a call from 331-530-3469. He spoke fluently Hungarian, pretended he was my nephew. He said he had a business trip to Mexico and has some time before returning to Hungary to pass by Canada . He knew or well guessed many info. Later he called back and told me he will be delayed because he got trouble at custom because he had $25K cash on him and he did not declare it. Money was confiscated and he needs $1,500 to pay tax to the Mexican gov. so they would release the money. I asked them why don?t you just deducted from the $25K they said they cannot touch that it is a different department. The ?official person? at custom informed me that I should go to the Western union to transfer the funds or he will be kept overnight. When I asked the person what is my nephew?s name he gave me the wrong name. This was the end of it.
Reading the complains above same number, probably the same person. It is a US number from Illinois FBI should have no problem to find them.

I got a very similar call with a name of my cousin in Hungary saying that he want to visit me tomorrow on the way home from Mexico. be aware!!!

Got a call tonight from 331-500-3469. The caller did not introduce himself, but spoke our native language, Hungarian. No accent. He claimed that I should have recognized him, but neither me nor my wife did. Then he said he is family, and we should know, and made us feel guilty that we did not recognize him. He said he is a cousin of mine, and there should be one name that must come to my mind. It so happens that my cousin in Hungary just got a kidney transplant, and I wanted to call him these days anyway. His voice was unfamiliar, although I thought he might be still under drugs and the phone distorts, too. And of course I felt bad by then, so i started to talk. But it was very weird because this person was only asking for information, not giving anything. So I was cautious, give out some info but nothing very specific. Asked how is he after the operation, and that i have heard good news about him from my parents. He went along with the conversation, said that yes, it was a serious operation, but it is all good now. Then this person started to tell me that our very good friend, named Feri, is coming to visit us (Feri is a very common Hungarian name), and that Feri has a very good business offer. When he insisted I must be able to figure out Feri's family name and I could not the line "dropped". So this person was "phishing", or scamming. He tried to get information out and trick us into something. He was making us guess about many things, and get the information told him by us this way. Luckily we did not get far, but we did bite on the bait due to the coincidence with my cousin's kidney transplant this week. BE AWARE!

Caller from 331-530-3469 claimed to be relative from Europe (Hungary) though accent sounded Hispanic to me.  Knew husband's name and claimed to be relative, asked "do you know who I am?" and kept repeating, "I'm calling from Europe" as though that was the key to me giving information and adopting this voice on the phone.  When I wouldn't give information but asked for information, he eventually hung up.

I got a call from this number 331-530-3469 it was guy who speak spanish n he knows my real name. Very suspicious caller! do not give any info. BEWARE!

What do they tell u is it in English or Spanish?? Cus they call me things and say i.know this person and its a good looking person from mexico

I have had this call and they know my real name, and say its the hottest person i know. They keep calling and.dont answer
