I almost fell for it saying he was a cousin from Colombia but he would not give his name so it seemed suspicious. If they get enough info they can steal your identity also.

The same happened to me and I fell for it and sent $1,800, these criminals will burn in hell, God is watching....

The same exact story from Noname happened to me today and I fell for it ,I wired $1,800 to Mexico because I was told that my cousin was detained in at the airport and he had $15,000 in his suit case and that we had to send 10% of $15,000 which was $1,500 and they also said to send $300 for fines or he would be arrested for 3 to 6 months, I sent the money because I really thought my cousin was in trouble and he's a christian and I couldn't leave him in Mexico locked up, so I sent the Money ,THIS IS A SCAM...!!!  I hope that GOD punishes these people ,I don't understand how they could sleep at night knowing that they did this to someone...This really messed me up I'm a single mom and I had to barrow this money and now I don't have a way of paying it back...GOD will take care of these criminals they will burn in hell.

Someone just call edwith a similar story, saying that it was my cousin from Ecuador, he was playful first, making  me guess which cousin, he just said yes that's me after a couple of guesses, he knew my full name, I have cousins I rarely see, so I did believe him for a a while and I went along, he said he wanted me to pick him up at the airport tomorrow, I said I couldn't and when I asked where was he going to stay and he said my home i got suspicious and I told him he wasn't my cousin and asked for his father name to prove he was who he claimed he was. At that point he got very upset, saying that if I just didn't want to have him at my place just say so and acted very offended, his cover was blown off and he attacked me verbally, after that he hung up.
Of course he was not my relative, he was fishing for information, please be careful and do not give any information  away, these people are most likely criminals

Some one called my house saying they were a relative coming from my country, stopping by Mexico. The Spoke to Mom my she said a name and he used that name to identify himself. The person said he wanted to see her and if she could pick him up. He said we will call back and he did. I picked up when they called back asked for last name, they kept asking who was calling. When they realized I was not going to put my mom on the phone they cursed me out. Things got ugly when my brother picked up and just said hello while they kept asking questions, after the last question the person threaten my brother saying that if he didn't put my mom on the phone they will come to the home and grab her, and they end by saying our address. Please be careful, they must be scammers or something worst.

Una persona llamo a mi casa y se hizo por un pariente que venia desde mi país, parando en Mexico. La persona habló con mi madre, ella dijo un nombre y esa persona se comenzó a identificar con el mismo. La persona dijo que quería que lo buscaran en el aeropuerto al dia siguiente. El dijo que llamaría de vuelta. Yo conteste cuando llamo de vuelta y pregunte por su apellido, el siguió preguntando con quien hablaba. Cuando se dieron cuenta que que no les iba a pasar a nadie al telefono me insultaron. La cosas se pusieron peor cuando mi hermano contesto y solo dijo alo mientras el hacia preguntas. Después de preguntar por la persona con la que quería hablar, se molesto y amenazo a mi hermano diciendo que si no ponía a mi madre al teléfono vendría a la casa a buscarla y sacarla así sea a la fuerza y dio nuestra dirección. Tengan cuidado estas personas están buscando números de teléfonos con direcciones por internet. Pueden ser estafadores, secuestradores o algo peor todavía.

Esta persona ha estado molestandome por varios dias me llama por    telefono y pregunta por su tio para despues sacar informacion yo pienso que son estafadores que quieren sacar dinero alas personas a base de mentiras tengan cuidado...
