Yesterday my mother received a call from someone stating that he was my mother nephew and that he was involved in a car accident and that he needed money to pay the other party that he was involved in, she of course run to the moneygrant place thinking this was true and send that person 300 hundred dollars and then she made a second trip to the moneygrant and send that person another 200 hundred dollars due to there was a little girl in the hospital, and when I arrived around 6 pm. she was stil talking to this guy, and he was asking for more money and that's when I ask her who was she talking too, and she told me everything and the other party hung up, and of course did not call again. But the money had already been transfer to a lady in Nogales Sonora, Mexico. I was late, I told why did she not call me like she always does, and she explained to me that the guy told her that it was an emergency and they needed the money right away and bla bla bla, She called then my aunt in Mexico and of course everything was a big lie. Please let your elderly people not to pick up the phone or to have a distinctive ring tone, so they know who is calling. I was afraid that she was going to have a stroke since she is very ill, and her pressure is hight.

BEWARE!  This number is a scam.. My Mom had a nephew that was also at the border town of Sonora and that he was in a car accident and that a little girl was hurt and to send them money.. First they wanted $500.00 for the car repair of the other person.. then $500.00 for the little girls hospital bill were she got hurt.. then another $600.00 for the repair of his car.. well when they wanted more money the next day for hotel expense we finally googled this number..called the Sherriff and were told it was a scam.. Please beware these people are doing this scam!

My Mom also got a call from this number and this story is so familiar with what you wrote.. But they also that this number was to a Holiday Inn in Mexico.. The same thing hapened to my parents but my Mom is out $1,600..
