I got a call from this number from a supposed nephew.  I reported it to the police and they told me that they do this to call at a later time and allege that they are in desperate need of money and try to get a loan from the caller.  "THIS PERSON IS A CON ARTIST "RIPOFF"THIEF" report him to the police

A mi me hablaron de ese numero hoy 3/9/2012 y me dijo que era mi sobrino.  Luego me pregunto que si sabia quien era y tambien dijo que era de Los Angeles y de mi familia.  Le pregunte si era Roberto y me dijo que le avia atinado.  Despues le pregunte que si como estaba don Roberto, su papa y me dijo que bien.  Para seguirle la corriente le dije que habia sabido que su papa habia estaba malo y el dijo que ya estaba mejor.  Me dijo que iria a ensenada y que queria pasar por mi casa para llevarmen unos regalos y yo le dije que estaria bien pero que yo no tenia parientes llamados Roberto.  Su respuesta fue "chinga tu madre" y colgo.

same thing happened but he did call back and asked for 2,000 because he had been in a car wreck and his young daughter was hurt. He would never give a name but luckily my mom hung up on him. I told my mother not to answer the calls again.  This is a scam.  Please call the police and keep reporting the man or men.

My Mom and Dad got a call lastnight from this number. The idiot on the phone was claiming to be a cousin from Mexico who was in New York would call as  he got closer to my parents place lucky my parents didn't fall for it they called our family in Mexico and the cousin was home not in New York! When this guys called back she asked him for his last name and he hung up.

My mom reported the call to the police they tried to call it and no service was available.

person claimed to be my moms nephew and said he needed money, he called twice today and when i tried to call back it said the number was not available

My mother got a phone call requesting to talk to grandma.  I answered the call and it was from an impostor claiming to be my nephew and was his fiance.  The phone was transferred to other person claiming to be a lawyer helping my nephew who was at the airport in Mexico City and was travelling to Toronto.  This lawyer claimed that my "nephew" was not detained but  the money he brough to Mexico was in the excess of the maximum limit allowed and was confiscated: $40,000 US.  In order to release my nephew and the money, customs requested $3,000 US to cover the fine equivalent to 10% on the $30,000 that was the excess the amount allowed.  My nephew was not able to pay himself from the money they confiscated because it may be money he is laundering.  He asked me to send them right way, $3,000 US via WESTERN UNION.  I told them thay I could only send $1,000 US and the rest send them through the Consulate of Mexico in Toronto.  I started to ask questions because I felt some was wrong.  they told me they would be calling back.  In the meantime, I send my brother a message, my nephew's father, requesting to confirm whether his son was travelling.  My brother confirmed that his son was not travelling, he has never been in Mexico and that the the very moment, he was having dinner at home.  

These people called me 3 times in total.  By the third time,  they were asking for my particulars, full name, address, date of birth, etc.  With  the information I got from brother, I told them that all was a scam, that I had call overseas and talked to my family and Theguy just hang up the phone.

I AM AFRAID THAT THEY COULD USE ALL MY ID TO STILL MY IDENTITY.  THEY NEW MY NEPHEW'S NAME, MINE, MY ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER.   I WILL FOLLOW UP THIS CASE TO STOP FRAUD: FINANCIAL AND IDENTITY.

Second call today. First one was picked up by my mom. Today I fed him with lots of fake info. I asked him how is his mom and his dad , how is his sister Andrea. How is my brother Luis. After he confirmed that they are doing fine and he they send their regards he told me he is stoping in Mexico but he is coming to Toronto after. I asked him for a number I can reach him and he gave me this 333-590-3524. At this point I told him I got no brother called Luis or niece called Andrea and I am calling the police so he better run and hide. I tried this number but not in service.
I tried to trace the call by dialing *57 and *69 but these features were blocked and did not work. Just called bell Canada and had them unblocked.
I think the way to catch these scammers is to have your phone company trace the call and report it to the police. *57 does this I was told. Just remember to dial *57 or *69 as soon I you hang up because it only traces the last call.

Called my home to say he is a cousin and needs to declare 50,000 euros to the usa and now needs me to give him 5000 dollars or whatever  through western union. Told this person to go ask his mother. He called 15 times today prior to me picking up the phone. How does anyone stops this scams???
