I keep Getting calls from this Law Firm Threatening me that i have a payday loan and that i will be arrested i have never got a loan . i would let the authorities know about the usage of this Law Firm and name of Henry Crawford. I have let the Authorities know that i am being harassed.

I got the same kind of call but it was from  972-843-1586 threatening me that i was going to be arrested and wanted my information .

I own and operate a small Baker Law Firm in the western united states.  I have received this report twice this week.  As you can imagine I am very concerned about this activity.  Who would you suggest I contact to report this scam that has any ability to oversee or report the scam to Indian authorities?

My mom has gotten a lot of calls from these people. The one she got today was actually kind of funny. She told them she was going to contact the Attorney General in Iowa and the woman on the phone, who called herself Michelle Jones, said that she knows our Attorney General and that she has drinks with him every night. I could not help but laugh when she said that. Then my mom asked her what his name is and she made up some random name. These people are horrible. It sounds like none of us has fallen for it, but there are probably people who have. I hope people report them to their Attorney General in their state. These people need to be put out of business.

I received a call today and I was told the exact same thing. That I owed on a payday loan and the person I spoke with I could not understand a word she said.  Her english was horrible.  She just kept asking me if I wanted to resolve this today or did I want to go to jail on Monday.  I repeatedly asked her what this was in reference to because I could not understand what she was saying.  I then asked to speak to someone who spoke better english and she said I could only speak to her.  Then I asked to speak to the lawyer and I was told that they did not speak to anyone. So I told her that if I could not speak to a lawyer then I guess I will go to jail on Monday, and I hung up on her.  I am so glad I googled the number and I am not the only one this has happened to.

Just got a call from these people saying I have a payday loan and I haven't paid it ack and there are three counts against me and I am going to be arrested.  The thing is I did borrrow money from a payday loan place, but my payment is not due until 9/17.  I asked her all sorts of questions, she said her name was MIchelle Jones, I said You sure don't speak very good English, where are you from.  She answered Montgomery Alabama.  I told her she didn't sound like anybody from Alabama that I had every heard talk.  Any way I asked her for her address and bosses name.  Shje gave me an address like 1603 Shady or Sully Road, when I tried to spell it back to her she said yes to whatever I spelled.  She told me her bosses name was Mr. Randall Baker and he was a lawyer.  She said if I didn't pay money  now, the police would come.  Anyway I hung up on her and called the number back and it was so nosiy where they were I couldn't here, but after I told them my name, they put me through to Michelle again.  She told me not to call their anymore, after I told her this was a scam, I said, well then don't call me either.

Just got two harassing phone stating that I would be arrested. I asked them what is this about and they said, their is a lawsuit against you for fraud. You will be arrested Monday morning and then you will lose you job. I asked them what is their bar number and they hung up on me.

This number has called me an had me very afraid but thanks to this wed site I'm at ease please put a stop to these awful scamers.thanks for everyone's comments

Hey all this number called me yesterday and had me scared to death. They were really rude and refused to talk to my friend who is a police officer and would hang up on him and me. I called the Ohio Attorney General's Office and was advised it was a scam and they were trying to get money!!!! DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you get this just call your Attorney General's Office and they will help you.

Dont even stress it these people are some losers that will call over and over again and threaten to have you arrested. they say they are from Bakers Law Firm. they are ignorant, dont answer -.-

THIS NUMBER CALLED TO SAY THEY NEEDED TO SPEAK WITH ME OR MY LAWYER REGARDING A TIME SENSITIVE ISSUE.  IT WAS IMPORTANT TO HAVE MY LAWYER OR MYSELF RETURN THE CALL OR AS THE SITUATION UNFOLDED ON ME THE ONLY THING HE COULD SAY WAS GOOD LUCK AND HAVE A BLESSED DAY.  HE IDENTIFIED HIMSELF AS HENRY CRAWFORD BUT DOES NOT STATE THE NAME OF THE FIRM HE IS SUPPOSEDLY ASSOCIATED WITH

I started calling back and turned the tables on them. Told them they have been reported . They don't like being on the other end of harassment.

I've been recieving the same type of calls from this number and several other numbers. They have ALOT of my information BUT it is all a SCAM. Donot ANSWER or RESPOND to these calls and EVENTUALLY they will stop calling ;(

I also got a call from this number saying I own total of $486.00 and needed to pay now or go to Jail by tomorrow at my job and a fee of $8,000.00. the man on the phone knew my SS#, my address my email address, birthday and where I work., but when i ask him about the company he was calling about in told me he was calling from "Baker Law Firm" but when ask the address he would only tell me, Montgomery,  Alabama but wouldn't give me the full address and Just said call and made payment or go Jail and hang up. I didn't know what to do,  till I  did a google search on  the name and finally google the phone number and found this web page Thank you .

These people are fraud. Theyre calling hard working individuals and threatening to have them arrested if they don't pay off these bogus loans. they aren't rdebt collectors they are scam artists

I just got called again by these people. They are located in Western India and are all involved in this scam, using technology that makes them appear to be calling from the U.S. These people are the lowest form of scum on the earth, and they need to be stopped. Unfortunately, the law turns the other way and lets them continue operating instead of shutting them down. Don't worry about their silly little threats. I yelled some choice obscenities into the phone and told the woman that I was reporting her to the police.

SAME AS OTHERS RECIEVED A CALL SAYING THE DEBT WAS FROM AN OLD PAYDAY LOAN. THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE SENDING THE POLICE TO MY ADDRESS. IF I DONT PAY NOW!!

Someone from this number has been calling for 2 days and have left several messages!!!  My grandaughter answered the last call and they said I would be arrested at my job the next day. I do not even work!!! I called them back and ask the name of the guy who answered, and yes they cannot speak good English!!! He said his name was Martin, I then ask what the name of the company was and he told me "Bakers Law Firm". I then ask for the address and he hung up on me. If they continue to call I will sue them for harassment!!! I do not owe any payday loans to anyone.

If everyone who receives a call from this number please report it and put an end to the torment he is causing everyone to go through. It's harassment and childish to threat those who are in enough problems as it is without having to worry about being arrested at work/home.

Don't worry about it! They will just have your blood boiling, saying you will be arrested and then hanging up on you!

They threat to have you arrested! Made the mistake of answering, they said I would be arrested and hung up on me!

These people say they r baker law firm, they will threaten to have you arrested at your job if you don't pay them. They claim to be representing a payday advance company. They can't even speak good English. Go back to the middle east and leave hard working Americans alone!!!!!!!

This group is attempting to acquire money from you under false pretense. They will call back and leave messages about legal action.  Ignore it.
