Just got a call from this company.  "Hank Smith" wasn't at all rude, but I was immediately suspicious because they didn't know our business had changed hands over a year ago, and the contact name he dropped from before our sale was completely wrong.  Also, he identified his business as "BIT Equipment" which made it difficult to search for business details online.  Glad I thought to search the number! Appreciate all the posts describing experiences with these folks.

Since the system is installed at a satellite office, and I am located at another site, the system is best utilized as an off-site managing tool. The DVR holds several weeks of recording which is essential when you don't have time to review footage everyday or even every week. I use this to manage my payroll at that location as well as keep an eye on my employees.

I have been getting calls from them for weeks.  I just started tracking them this week- and just submitted a BBB complaint........if you all do the same we can stop this madness.  Go to bbb.org and type in BIT Security, they also go by Business Improvment Technologies Inc and are located in Apex NC (Greensboro), they use a bunch of different numbers- including 336-617-8381  (they are actually BBB accredited!!!)  Thats because NOBODY takes the time to actually report them......report them- I promise it will make a difference!

Called for security system but said that she (Haley) had talked to several of my employees and they said there was no security cameras so why wasn't I interested in hearing about it. My employees did not say that as I went back through the recorded calls. They don't even know about the security system for a reason but still unsolicited and rude caller.

We got a call from "Emory" from this company just today. Was asking for names off an obviously out-dated and not familiar list. Said she'd call back. Not if I can help it. Not sure how a telemarketing campaign that is activated by voices that rude can be effective, but, this group isn't "biting" for sure.

We get calls from this "BIT Equipment Co" numerous times a day. They will not stop calling. I get asked for the owner's cell number every time. When I tell them I cannot provide that number, they ask for a better time to call back. I have asked every time to be removed from the calling list and they say they don't have a calling list. I hung up on the guy. He called right back and asked if I always hang up on my customers. I didn't reply and again asked to be removed from the calling list because we are on the national do not call registry. The guy said that he doesn't have a calling list and that he's going to tell the owner how rude I am. I told him that was fine and he hung up on me. haha I'm determined to get their number and report them! They've been calling for over two weeks numerous times a day. SO AGGRAVATING! I have actual work to do...

If you receive a call from BIT Security, DO NOT do business with them.  They would call here several times a day and would get an attitude when told the owner was not here.  I would take a message and tell them I would give it to him when he came in, an hour or so later, they would call right back. There were several times that one guy got really nasty and rude with me.  A few months went by and we had some things stolen from the property.  This company calls back after the thefts and my boss decided to listen to what they had to say.  The salesman came out and my boss decided to get the system based on the salesman telling him that everything he wanted from this system, it was capable of doing.  So, the nightmare begins....we were told that we could check the cameras from our phones and we would receive alerts to our phones when the cameras detected movement and so on.  The installer came out and I do have to say that he was a nice guy.  There were issues with installation because he didn't have all the parts for all the cameras.  Within a couple of days he had the parts and setup was complete.  The installer set up the phones to receive alerts.  The first night, the phones received so many alerts that the were going over data allowance and had to be shut off so the boss and our employees could sleep.  The reason for the alerts was wind, rain, bugs, tree branch, headlights passing by on the highway, etc....  BIT was contacted the next morning with this issue and was asked to hold the lease because it was not working properly and they said they would and they were going to reset the sensitivity on it.  After the sensitivity was reset we were not getting any alerts and they went ahead and sent in the lease papers before the system was working properly.  We would call and leave messages and noone would call us back.  When they did call back, all of a sudden it was not anyones department anymore.  Blame was being passed off and we were not getting helped (lie and deny). There has been no accountability from anyone in this company. This has been an on going situation since March.  We are on the hook for total payback of $22,000 for lease over 5 years. We have no more than a $500-$900 camera system that can purchased from retail outlets.  My coworker put in a system at her home for $750.  The clarity is much better than the BIT system and the company that she purchased it from has been very helpful to her on installation and learning the system and she gets alerts and can check it over her phone.  Key Equipment Company (leasing company) does not care about your plight with BTI Security.  All they want is their monthly payments.  We are stuck.

You would never get through to the owner of the company I work for with a rude approach like that.  Threatening and intimidating employees is barbaric.  My boss, the owner, has made it very clear that he will not speak to anyone who is rude to me - I have authority to terminate the connection on any such callers; I screen all his calls and if you are not nice to me you don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of making it through to anyone.  I do not like rude people.

So today they start calling my office, but now the caller id says "private".  the caller, Aaron Johnson, simply asks for the owner by first name, like he knows him.  The next caller i get from them is going to get an ear full!  Like i said on my previous post, I am sick of these people taking my phone time when i have actual clients on hold or calling in that i need to talk to.

This "BIT Security" has called my office phone 4 times in one day.  the only time i have not hung up on them i spoke with Aaron. he was polite, asking for my boss like he knew him well.  then he asks me what our company does...Once i figured out it was a telemarketer i began hanging up on them when they call back.   oh, and i have had 4 other telemarketer calls in one day from different companies. i dont know why all the sudden im getting swamped with all these calls, i dont have time to listen to their rambling on when i have ACTUAL clients calling in that i need to tend to. We're now on the DO NOT CALL list so hopefully these will end soon.

Like the previous comment, I'm not sure who I talk to but when he calls he asks for my owner and I tell him hes not here. He then asks for his cell phone number and I tell him I can not give that to him and he will either hang up or will act like hes in high school and say "well I gave you my number that means you can give me his" and I tell him no, he then hangs up.... He calls anywhere from 2-5 times a day. Really annoying

As the COO of our company, I do have the authority to make decisions.  The owner has pretty much stepped away and left things up to me.  After over 10+ years if running his business, he's ready to enjoy life and not be tied to an office.   He comes and goes when he wants.  When he does come in it's for a limited time.  I have full control over purchasing and finances.  So for this company to insist on speaking to the owner is ridiculous.  THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.  Not just because we are NOT interest but because of the tactics they have been used to get to him.  Who ever said that only the owner can make decision and has the only authority???  I really don't want to stoop to their level but the whistle in the ear is sounding pretty good.  This company has called several times this week.  I've told them they are not going to get to the Owner that I am the best chance they got.  It seems like its a different person each time but they always have the same short rude message.   BTW.  We have caller ID.....  This company will be getting our voice-mail from now on.  If they don't get the picture, we also have caller block!

These people keep calling and it's gotten to the point that they even block their phone numbers when calling us. They are very rude and nasty people. I researched the company online and the only good review they have is from within the company. When I ask what BIT is they get rude and offensive, like I should already know. I'm sorry I don't want to associated myself with an awful company.

Do you ever think that the owner actually answers the phone and screens their own calls? Well they do and if you do not give us any detailed info about the company or what not then we more than likely do not have the time to talk or worry with other things then what our business actually concerns. We get so many calls a day from sales calls which can help us benefit from if good solid info is provided. and actual customer calls that makes our business profitable. Just a little bit of input.

We have received a week of daily calls from Reggie, very persistant and insistant on talking to the owner. He was told from the start, we have security already and someone else handles any alterations, (we have multiple practices in one building). He has been rude and sarcastic. Why would he think anyone would want to do business with a company that annoys potential clients?  Even if we wanted the service we would NOT work with this company.

If anybody from bit calls you and tries to get Rocky to call you back let me tell you about Rocky. He lets the owners of the company Pete and Sid perform a**l sex on him in Petes office so he can keep his job. So the poor guy has no choice but to take it because he has no education and is a convicted felon. They watch him on their spy cams and laugh at him and talk about how stupid he is. I think the poor guy is going to have a nervous breakdown the way he is treated. Please do not even take phone calls for this company they have a bunch of people in a phone room calling bussiness owners and the callers are so stressed out that all of them smoke pot and are on pills. They have no idea what they are trying to sell you all they want to do is wait for 5:30 so they can get out of there except poor Rocky he knows at 5:30 he has to go to Pete's office for another hour to keep his job. I think we all need to send Rocky some good pills to help him get through his life.

We have gotten several calls from this company today,  but I just called Rocky and asked to be taken off of their call list.   He got kind of angry and said " I needed to talk to you about some business...but NEVER MIND" and then he promptly hung up.  I will keep you posted and let you know if he continues to call.

Guy called and insisted on speaking to owners. Very rude. Spoke with GM, and he said, "Oh, you are an important person there. Do they have have a statue of you there?" GM asked if he was being a smart butt, and he said that some people have called him a "smart a**." He ended up hanging up on the GM. She called the number back and reported him as being extremely unprofessional and rude, and told them to take us of their call list.

Guy Kenny has called two days in a row for the owner... He called last week and was very rude when i said i am sorry he isnt in and i am not sure when he will be back it varies.. he said yeah thats how my wifes boyfriends schedule is... I tried to direct this guy BEFORE that comment to someone who could actually help him as our owner does not take cold calls either. But after that comment i hung up.. Calling back this week like i dont know who he is..

Thank you for your post.  I'm not sure what these people want but the same thing happend to me, first Kenny calls for two weeks and now a woman is calling asking for the boss by name. I will have to tell them we are not interested.  Thank you for the information.
