My husband got a call on his mobile phone @4am this morning. The caller said they were calling to let us know a friend or relative was trying to contact us and to call them back at their designated number.  My sister goes there for outpatient treatment but she is at home and doing well.  This did scare me and I am still confused as to why we received this call.  I have no clue who to call.

I had two missed calls from this number this morning. Both left voicemails that were just beeps every 2 seconds. I live in Georgia so I have no idea why a WFU would be calling.

i got a wierd call from that number at 2 in the morning, what are they up to there

Got a strange call from this # 336-727-4818 (caller ID said "WFU Medical Center") from a man asking for "Scotty Bahler"- he repeated our number says he swears it is right.  Nobody by that name has ever lived here! Creepy.

I am not sure but somehow this person received my number and called me as well.  I had this gut feeling from the beginning that there was something odd about it and I am shocked to find that other people have had this call as well.  Has anyone tried calling back?

This is a phone number for the WFU Baptist Hospital-pediatric  out patient, nurses line type thing. Possably even Brenners Children's Hospital.

I also got a call from this number today. I live in Colorado now and have never had anything to do with WFU Medical Center. Strange.

recieved a call from a professional sounding female from Wake Forest looking for a Dr. Kissimmee?(sp)  This came to my cell number that only my children and close family/friends have access to the number.

Received a call at 9:07 not sure why they called because they did not leave a message.

The number 336-727-4818 is inside the Wake Forest University Medical center, it is a phone that patients and associates use to call family, enemies and the law enforcement. When the family or friends get a call from this number, they assume that they can call it back and contact their friends, loved ones or people they know but do not love. Wake Forest needs to put a sign up next to this phone asking that it not be used to receive calls. Next, the people using the phone have to learn how to read English.

This is indeed WFUBMC, it is a Hospital in Winston- Salem, NC. I work here, I called my cellphone from my work phone to check messages and forgot this was the number. So I looked it up and it was my work! No one is out to get you, or sell you anything. Hundreds of people work here, so you can only imagine how many times someone might call the wrong number. It is a hospital wide ID number. Oh and you should be nice to these people, someday we might be taking care of you.

The caller id and number is generated by a machine used by agencies who just call to check and see if someone will answer the phone. When you answer, you catch the caller by surprise, so they have to make up some story.
A few minutes later they follow up with an "out of area" call to try catch the person who answers the phone.

We've received at least three calls. When returning the call the message states that we should call the hospital. Needless to say, when my wife got this message and couldn't reach me on my cell - she was very upset thinking something might have happened. I wish someone at the hospital would address this!

Got a call from this number to inform me of a patients surgury recovery or something. I did not give my name and said they had the wrong number. I hung up.

Got several calls from them... I live in Cali. No idea why they would be calling.

My call from 336-727-4818 came from Wake Forest University Medical center came from the neurology department.  I think the number is generic.

This is a generic number that displays when you get a call from Wafe Forest University - I don't believe this is on the hospital end, but the person who contacted me is from the academia medicine end. My husband, who works for the IT end of the hospital has a different generic number that displays when he calls and my mother-in-law who works in research has a separate number that displays generically. So I assume they have a few generic numbers - these "nice women" aren't out to get you they either mis-dialed or needed to speak to you. Trust me they have better things to be doing w/ their time than "no good."

Call from 336 727 4818  when I answered no one there.  I *69 b/c I don't have caller ID on that phone and this is the number.  I called back and there was no answer.

Got a call this morning and it could be from anyone.  Baptist Hospital is huge.
