When I returned the call it was Wachovia Direct Access.  I don't know what they could have wanted and why they would be calling from that number in North Carolina.  They did not leave a message; however, they left the phone opened for a while but never said anything

They called and said they were from wachovia and thatI had a negative balance on my account. But when I called to investigate(knowing my account wasnt even being used) wachovia said my account was fine! they even rechecked and said the account hadn't been used since days before the "negligent" balance was created. I would watch out for this crap, its stupid and probably a scam.

This number is what shows up on your phone as well as Wachovia.................in actuality, it belongs to Wells Fargo Recovery Loan Department.  They are always women - Darlene Kanaska, Jessica, Ms. Mack, Christine.  They are ruthless you know whats and really don't care one iota what they say to you - it's always the same b.s. and they live in their "box"...............what kind of life can these witches have when all they want to do is harass and annoy you without listening to one word you have to say.
This doesn't concern a credit card or a bank account - it is Wells Fargo's way of trying to collect
additional sums of money from you in regard to a particular process that is going on.

When you call this number it gives you a toll-free number and when you call the toll-free number 800-860-1020 (Quest) it says it is a long distance service, when you press options you hear the phone click several times like it's being trasferred somewhere far far away and I hung up.  I didn't want nasty long distance charges on my phone bill.

I called Wachovia and they knew nothing about it. Opened a fraud investigation.

I received the same call at 8:58pm, along with the female voice repeating "hello" three times before the few seconds of silence and then hanging up.

If you have a bank account with Wachovia that has been in a negative balance.....you will get this phone call!

I get a call from this unrecognizable number and I let it go to voice mail, and the messages are always the same.  3 seconds of music, then I female voice repeating the word "hello" over and over.

I've been getting calls from the 1-800 number as well.Very weird

Call from 336-917-6498 at 8:58 PM!  Of course I don't answer, but it leaves a recorded message telling me to "call 866-211-6980 between the hours of 9 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, Eastern Time.  Fat chance I'll do that.

This number called me this morning. I listened to the recording and "supposedly" its from Wachovia "Direct Access" The lady you hear says she is away from the phone, so leave a message. To leave your name, account number ( PEOPLE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER ) and phone number. For all I know this could be some type of SCAM. so just in case if you DO BANK with Wachovia, CALL YOUR LOCAL BANK OR THE 800 NUMBER AND VERIFY THAT THESE PEOPLE WHO CALL US ARE LEGIT AND ARE REALLY FROM WACHOVIA!!!!!!!

This number calls my cell phone sporadically a few times a week, starting just about 2 weeks ago.  It never even rings long enough to go to voicemail, let alone leave a message.  I have yet to try calling them back because I don't want to add fuel to the fire.  I have multiple credit card accounts but they are all either zero balance or up-to-date on payments, student loans are in deferment for graduate school, etc.  I don't owe anyone money that I'm aware of, so I have to assume that this is a scam of some kind.

If it helps with identification, this number started calling around the EXACT same time: 1-800-945-7745.

Something needs to be done about these calls. If companies are so desperate to get bills paid; IF THAT IS THE CASE, then they should go out of business until they learn to provide good customer service.

On another note - NEVER, EVER GET A CREDIT CARD FROM CAPITAL ONE! They will blow your phone to pieces. I closed an account with them, and had a balance of $310.00, MAN, did the calls start, up to 7 times a day, until 8:30 p.m. at night. Well, I wrote the Better Business Bureau, FCC and my lawyer and the suit is ON!

I get the same call everyday, always the same thing, leaves no message but when I call back, a recording comes on stating that the extention 336-917-6498 is unavailable. Next time they call, I will answer them and they will not like what they will hear! I don't cuss, but I know someone who will make drunken sailors look like church mouses!

same thing here.  i saw the number show up but did not answer.  i came to google it and it brought me to this site.

this number called me as well....i called it back and it said the same thing about the extension number, and it did not give a name of any company.

Caller ID says North Carolina.  When I did a reverse search, it said unlisted number.  I called the number back, it goes to a voice mailbox for extension # "3369176498"  It does not give the companies name on the voice mail greeting. I wish these people would stop calling me.
