Selling a motorcycle on CG. Got an email claiming that the guy was in the Army Deployed as a CBRN specialist named Steven Collins and couldn't talk on the phone. Said he wanted to buy it through Pay Pal and that he'd have an "Agent" pick it up. After insisting that I speak to an actual person or personal reference or his "agent" he sent me this number: (347) 201-1053. After a quick google search I came to this page. Glad you all posted here.  

I had the same person email me through craigslist about buying a truck unseen and have someone pick it up for them. First I was told that they were in the army and deployed then the next email they said they were a petroleum engineer.  Kept insisting on paying through paypal and would not answer any of my questions. The email address was marykeiser2@gmail.com

I got the same email address! I was selling a car on Craigslist and they said they were in the army and couldn't make phone calls for security reasons. They said they'd only pay through PayPal I told them I wouldn't sell through paypal

Just got a scam call wanted to buy a motorcycle, would send a shipper, asked to send me the money for shipping through western union and pay full price for bike through paypal.

I have a car for sell and this # texted me, wanting info about my car??

Same as other comments, caller want to buy my motorcycle and will pay my price via paypal and will send a shipper. It is a gift for their uncle.

Same exact number 3472011053. I received a text at 4:38am? About the motorcycle I'm selling. Listed the motorcycle in everything so I figured the scammers would crawl out. Said he wanted to know what condition the bike was in and what would be the best price I would take for it. I asked for name and more information from the person and that the bike is in excellent condition. I received a text message to email them address at marykeiser2@gmail.com.

Selling car on craigslist got text from 3472011053 want to buy it but pay only by pay pal, I text back cash only, got same BS about it being a surprise for a cousin.  Told them you can't be too careful with all the scams people come up with to rob you now-a-days they assured me it was not a scam and that they's like to proceed with transaction.  Told them money talks and b***s*** walks and either cash in hand or no go.  They have not text back.

Sometimes you have to love the internet....knew something was up so I googled the number and found this thread!

This same number is texting me about a camper, with the same line about buying for a cousin.  Only wants to buy through my PayPal account.  The txt r will not talk by phone.  I agree something fishy in the water.  I've never had a cousin want to buy me anything other than lunch.  LOL

I just got a text from this person wanting my pay pal info sight unseen buy will call me when they get the pick up agent contacted told me repeated times they were not scammers. the old gift for the cousin.

I received text messages only from this # wanting to buy my vehicle, and the same thing they were buying it for a cousin as a surprise. When I asked for a name they advised "Mary Cornell", and when I advised them that I just tried calling the # it said they were unavailible to speak with me. I asked where they were from and they stated Washington DC, but in a different text they stated Alabama. When asked why they didn't answer the phone, she claimed that she was a deaf woman, and could only communicate through text, or email. I advised them that they would have to excuse me but I would only talk to someone about the transaction, and that I am a Police Officer here in Florida and I deal with this kind of BS every day. She them advised that she would have her husban Scott call me right away, and that was the last text that I received and that was at 11 am.

Trying to sell things on-line, with very CLEAR instructions for local people only, CASH ONLY, DO NOT TEXT ME, and I get a text .....Told these people NOT to text me, to find a real job and I was given a death threat !!!! Idiotic scammers obviously with nothing else better to do.
