YEAH SAME! i doint even know them at first i was like maybe its was my boyfriend but on a other cell phone or something..

My fiancée gets messages from me from this number.  If I send her a message using BiteSMS credits, they're SUPPOSED to show up on her phone as coming from my phone number, but lately, they've been showing up with that number instead.  If she texts that number back, though, I never receive the response.  Do your boyfriends/significant others have iPhones?  If so, that's probably what's happening to you, too.

Got this number from a guy online - seemed really sweet at first.  Sending me love messages, etc.
He claims to be rich, then starts ASKING ME FOR MONEY and gives me this number as his phone number, but tells me only to TEXT him, and NOT TO CALL!  I call anyway to leave a voicemail, and a woman answers!!  SCAMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Also - "guy" says he lives in Maryland, but phone number is in New York!!)

I have a texting app on my iPod touch. I got it for christmas, but recently this person who I dont know. I've gotten two texts from this person. One said, "my family and I went skiing this weekend", and another one was,"I beat some guy in fencing 15-9". Whenever I called then back they never answered and I get a metallic screech from them. Also, they know my nickname. I don't have a Facebook and only my friends know my number. What's going on?

Right, this number appears as the sender when you send SMS from online services and you don't have a dedicated virtual number.

I'm using a service  which is based in the UK and recipients in the USA are getting this number as the sender when I send them SMS.

I got a text message with a link that said pencil box. i didn't trust it so looked it up defiantly not going to down load it.

Sent me a text on May 26th saying:

"Hope this is your iPhone. Have a good day my dear. <3"

I've no idea who this could be. New York city prefix, but that means nothing. I replied immediately that day asking who they were, but got no response. Then sent the number another text earlier today simply saying hello, but again, no response. Would love to know.

Also, yes, I'm on Facebook, but keep my profile private to all but friends, & even then I don't allow my phone number or personal info to be viewable (even by friends) & ONLY accept friend requests from people I actually know in real life.... but.... oh! I DID post my mobile number a few days prior to the 1st text on my best friend's old band's facebook page because he was in hospice dying & I wanted friends to be able to call & speak to him while they could. That's it! How awful of someone to take advantage of that. Well, the how is solved. Thank you.

But still, what do they want?! What is the point?

How many of you use facebook? Do you have your number linked to it? I got a text from this number referring to me by my name I only use on my facebook account. Just a thought.

I live in Canada and got a SMS yesterday at about 9 pm. consisting out of question marks! I replied to know who it was but no respond with explanation or anything. Then I dialed this number but the person was not reachable.

I got a call from this # and they referred to me by my correct first name.....  They didn't respond to my return IM asking who they were....  who the hell is this?

I had calls from this number from SL Architect. Pl. don't misunderstand me . I was in Calgary Awrudu Uthsawaya ,a very noisy & bussy place.Unfortunately, I couldn't here the phone. I'm very sorry. I tried several times to contact u.-callback. I heared a fax tone ...I already send a SMS  from Moblile.Finally I search google to find the number u phoned me. Got a text asking if I had called. Got nothing when I responded. When I called it says the voicemail box is not set up. Obviously and idiot.
