Just got a call and they didn't leave a message.

I just got a call from this number, the vm message was a recorded voice having something to do with updating Google maps.  It was ignored and deleted.

Picked up phone and there was silence on the other end.

First time this one called me - thankfully I google unknown numbers and don't answer. No message left.

Keep getting hang up calls from this number. It's a pain in the butt when you're trying to run a business.

We get the same thing as davem39 I was thinking of calling the real Google and asking them to jump in and rid us of these phonies.
The phony Google calls from this # and other#s. If you block them they still find a way to call back on another#. Google would never call you with an automated call. We have had dozens of calls from them over a period of months. Twice when pushing the prompt #1 I got a real person. I told the first one I knew he was phony and he quickly hung up. The other time I told him I would do my best to have the DNC list impose the maximum fines on them if they call again. We all know that us useless. You can't always get a person when pressing 1 so now I just hang up as soon as I hear that line of BS.

i set call control to block this number.  got 2 calls back to back today both blocked, i blocked this number last week when i got a rush of calls saying my google+ listing was out of date.  Not just google listing now google+ listings
