At least 8 calls tonight...no message. I do not answer. Also received from 204-272-3005 two times with the same no message. Very annoying!

I dont know how you got through to an operator on Level 3.  All I got was a maze of recorded messages.

Also, how did you find out about Level 3 being behind it?

24hrs later (after calling Level 3) and still getting phone calls.

We should seriously all get together and take action. Talk to a lawyer or something. Maybe we can even make a couple of bucks. I'm such a Jew ;P

I am not Jewish but the caller may think I am as I received a call a few weeks ago from a young guy asking for funds for poor Jewish families in Israel --

Anyway, thanks for the Level 3 tip - I just called and they know about the problem -- They have contacted their "tele-marketing" wholesaler/customer who bought the number..who sold it to a third party..this third party has stated that they are not making the calls.i.e. they are not going through their system..and what is happening is known as "spoofing" - i.e. some other entity has the number and their system is making repeated calls -

We are on the No Call List -- so this is a federal offense which will cost the eventual culprit $1500 per call -- so, go to the FCC website and register on the NO CALL LIST - or, if you are already on it, lodge a complaint with them about this number -


Level 3 is trying to resolve this through their customer - which may not be possible --

I have been dealing with the same annoying phone calls for the last few days from the 347-282-2423 number. They have been calling at least 10 times a day and never say anything when I answer. I am also Jewish, so I would think the calls are either coming from a Jewish organization or an organization targeting the Jewish community. I took Leor's suggestion and called 1-877-877-0648 to make my complaint, and they even called on the other line as I was making the complaint!!! I hope this works.

347-282-2423 and also 718 and 212 . We're Jewish.  It means it's either a single or multiple Jewish organizations trying to raise funds by phone via a professional telemarkeing firm - possibly via Israel - and for some reason their thing doesn't work.  I mean, I wish I could hear someone breathing.  That way I could at least ask them to stop.  But we have the hang up flavor of phone calls.  It is more than annoying.  The only option I can see is to pay the phone company to block those numbers.  But that is outrageous, really.

These jerks call my home and my office all day. It used to be the 212 number and now it's the 347 #. the 212 says disconnected and the 347 is always busy. I called the cops, filed a report and no one wanta to help. I started tracing the call with my phone company with hopes that after a few they'll send the info to my local precinct and i'll be able to work with them to track down the caller. Does anyone know how else we can stop this?

I don't know why i'm getting the calls but i read somewhere here that they actually heard a voice. I always get hangups but do remember getting a call a week ago asking for money for an ambulance in Israel.

This number is serviced by a company called "Level 3". In order to stop the calls, call this number: 1-877-877-0648. Just follow the prompts to speak to a representative and tell them about your complaint. That's it.

Have been receiving several calls a day from this number.  If and when I am home to answer there is never anyone on the other end.  It is truly annoying.  Is there a way to complain to some agency to stop these calls?  What could possibly be the purpose?

Ive gotten multiple calls int he past from 212 584 6587, including one earlier today. I am Jewish too- not sure if theres a connection.
Theres a string on this site for the 212 # i just listed- many ppl there are jewish too. It is possible that someone acquired a list of #'s from one or more religious institutions or nonprofits- jewish and otherwise-  and they are using it themselves. I just wonder what they get out of phantom calls...

Several calls from this # today on my cell phone.  2:09pm, 3:04pm, 3:49pm, 7:08pm, 7:28pm, maybe a few more tonight.  Might be a telemarketer.  They don't speak or leave messages.  Just extremely annoying.  How do I put myself on a DO NOT CALL LIST?

I have been receiving a lot of calls from this number, they either hang up right away or i stay on the line thinking they will speak and there is a long pause then they hang up first.This is so annoying!!!! I know they are calling from the Bronx.

Called numerous times today.  When try to call back get busy signal.  Extremely annoying.

Got two calls from this "number" this afternoon and evening. Picked up the phone, and the other "party" immediately disconnects. Tried returning the call, but got a busy signal. Did a google search, and found this message board of others apparently being called by this same "person". How interesting,

They have called at least five times so far, calling about every hour.  No messages are left.  This is not the first time they have called us.  We have caller ID and it is listed as unknown.

I got a call from here and also from the 718 number someone mentioned above. I am Jewish and I see an Aviva here.  I wonder if there is some connection.  Been getting these hang up calls now for a few weeks.

Repeated calls over the past 24 hours, at least 5. No messages left and no one speaks when I pick up.

get 2 or 3 calls a day and they hang up. Finally wrote down the number and looked it up and saw that I'm not the only one they're trying to reach. Could they be thieves trying to case the homes they want to break into, just to make sure no one's home?

10 calls yesterday from this number. It is coming from the BRONX in NYC. I did a reverse number look up.
