This is a legitimate call from Witbe, a company I have done business with.  The caller left voicemail, and it was someone I had specifically contacted, so it was not an unsolicited call, I just didn't recognize the number so I loooked here before playing the voicemail.

This is his cellphone, and is unrelated to reports from this number posted earlier.

Because this is a legitimate call, it doesn't cleanly fit into the "Call types" below.

The 'Auto Processing Center' for "Ford" called with the story of my warranty was running out, needed this coverage, blah blah blah.  He did know the make & model of the vehicle I purchased many years ago (which is paid off).  He wanted to know the mileage I had on it currently, which I would not tell him.  The phone number came up "restricted" on my caller ID.  His phone kept cutting out to the point I could not understand what he was trying to say at all at first.. then he adjusted his headset, apologized for the issues he was having.. Offered to call me back.  I said no thanks.. and he started explaining they are a national provider of mechanical insurance.  I interrupted him and explained that as a farm girl who has been working on engines my entire life.. I probably had it covered.  He then hung up.

This Company is AUTO PROTECTION ALLIANCE (SANTA ANA, CA) but when they they call they only identify themselves as the auto processing department.

Received a call from this number today. CID shows nwyrcyzn05. I let the answering machine take it and as soon as the beep was heard the caller hung up.

I just received a similar call.  My caller ID shows V2051001270006526361.  The caller stated that he was from Auto..... the rest was unintelligible.  He then asked if I still owned my 2008 Ford Edge.  When I said no, he hung up.  

There has to be a better way to stop these spammers!  I live in Washington State.  Strange to say the least.

Began a spiel which I did not understand, but midway through the 2 or 3rd sentence, the CALLER hung up.   I guess they made their points for connecting to someone, so that is all they needed.

This number called today. Mispronounced my name. I hung up. Caller ID showed NWYRCYZNO5 NY. No clue who that is. After reading all the messages from everyone here i think i will be reporting these people to Do Not Call list. I hope it helps. These scammers deserve a beatdown.

This number 1-347-331-0262, called my number, as I did not recognize the number I let it ring.  They left no message.  I dialed the number and was told that my call  could not be reached and this number  could be disconnected.

On 01/22/2013 At 0913 hrs got a call from this number, a woman ask for me by name, she said she was calling about my car, and that they had sent me a notice about extending my service contract, she ask how many miles were on my car, I gave her a number, the I ask what was the name of the company, she hung up. I am on the do not call list, this was a scam call, I forwarder this info. To law enforcement.

We got a call from this number...nobody there, just a recording.

They are phishers for car extended warranty fishing for your car or personal information.

These pests call everyday-- ??? They have to be stopped, they have no right to call someone constantly and constantly hang up.

I got this call few minutes ago, when I answered they hung up,  caller ID shows NWYRCYZN05 347 331 0262. When I called back this number, answering machine  says the person is not accepting this call at this time. When I tried it again this time -  call was not completed as dialed. I live in Washington State.

Didn't answer call when it came in. Tried calling the number when they hung up. I got a recording saying the number was disconnected.

I just got this call.......the same caller ID info as Ken and he started talking about the warranty on our car.  "Jose" asked how many miles I had on it, so I told him.  He then started talking about forwarding this info to someone who would be able to give me info on cost and, when I asked him what he was talking about, he said "Oh, never mind" and hung up on me!  I cannot believe the rude spammers!

Filed an FTC complaint against this number (ref # 42414010) but it won't do any good.  FTC is not interested in scammers, just legit businesses that work outside the rules.  I am going to try to get information from phone companies on back tracing phone calls so we can have more weapons against these scammers.

Caller ID showed "Unknown caller" so I didn't answer, they left no message.  I read the comments from others on this site, glad I didn't answer.

Called today (11/29/2012) at 10:20 am.  Let machine get it and they did not leave a message.

I received two calls today from this number and google'd it of course.   Thanks for the info. everyone.   Actually I answered with "Hello"  three times and no response.      Just another day in "Disney Land".   Regards to all and thanks again for helping me relax about these silly calls.

same thing as everyone else(on page 1). btw I live in OR. The reason I'm saying where I live is because Molly(post @13 Sept 2012) also lives in OR. Maybe everyone here lives in Oregon? o_O

Received a call from (347) 331-0262, but the individual did not leave a message on my answering machine, so I don't know what they wanted.

Recieved a call from this number and person asked for me by name. I told them they had reached the FBI Fraud department, could I take a message? they abruptly hung up. I added them to a robo dialer that will call them over and over until they answer.

We get so many of these unknown callers that we don't even answer the house phone anymore without checking caller ID.  We are on National Do Not Call Registry and that doesn't seem to slow them down.
