Received a call from 818-717-258. The guy told me I was given a grant from the United States Govt for $7000. Told me to call back 317-380-6882 immediately with the reference number of JR0077. I called back and listened to his bs. Wanted me to go buy a green dot card and put $250 on it in order to receive the money. I ended up hanging up on the guy after I read many posts from the internet with this phone number. I told him he was a scam and I was not getting a card so he could just take my hard earned  money. Tried to call back the first number but of course it is international. Just hang up on them. I have fraud alerts on all of my information because my identity was stolen last year, so I am not worried about him having my name or phone number.

I just received a call similar to these ... However he said he worked for an IRS grant company thing. He said I got $7000 & gave me a verification code & call back # -.- he called from 818-717-258 & told me to call 347-380-6882 & asked for my bank information & when I asked for a website he told me ww.mygovernmentgrant.com !! He's corny ! & it sounded like same Indian guy both times!

This is getting ridiculous! I receive about 5 calls a DAY from this number and I started off by being polite with the person on the other end but Im at the point of flipping out now. They need to stop calling and someone needs to shut this down. I hope no one has given them ANY information as I feel its nothing but a  huge scam. SHUT IT DOWN!

I attempted to get a loan and a man with a heavy Indian accent called me and pressed me to give him my credit card number after I questioned him and told him I wouldn't he made sexually suggestive comments to me in which I proceeded to curse him out.  I also called him back and advised him that he/his business would be found out and investigated and punished.

someone by the name of frank alexander keeps calling me saying i approved for a 2000 dollar loan and said i had to go put200 dollars on a debit card to assure them that i was going to pay something  to get the loan.ok the name i was told to send it to was easy cash loans,elizabeth trice,georgetown,delaware19947.ok first who is elizabeth trice?ok i thought easy cash loans approved me for the loan,and tell me why i google this and elizabeth trice,georgetown,delaware19947comes up and  info about scamming.so please someone tell me wats going on who  do you contat and why isnt there a way to gt these rogues if their picking the money up in these names and geting rid of the names and id's afterwards.there has gotta b a way th police can get these people when they ue these names to get the money.SOMEONE ANSWER ,ME BACK PLEASE! they keep calling and also claim to have a finance dpt.and remind when i call back the finane dept.answer the phone and know me by voice with my number private.

Received this message saying my daughter was being charged for misappropriations of funds. The number was 347-671-0351. Caller was Vince Davis with an Indian accent.

i been getting a call from a # 817 710 6279 saying that they are a law firm. for cash advance usa that i owe $620 put they will settle with $ 339. if i dont send it today, i will have to go to court and be sue. i am happy i google the name. wow i almost got rob. what do i have to do report this people.

I received the phone call at work.  He went by Ricky Jones and it was in regards to my SS#.  Please take the time to report phone calls with the Consumer Protection Agency at (800) 952-5225.  Filing a police report is also a good idea.

I got a call as well stating there was fraud with my social to hold for someone to speak to me. I have been tricked by these people before and have actually sent money just for them to continue to ask for more. I held on the line and when the new guy gets on the phone I requested someone from the states to call me and disconnected.the call. They then leave a message threatened my aunt and stated she would be sued if I did not call them back on this fraud loan.
I traced the number and search found that number doesnt exist.

Anytime you hear fraud and legal matters its concerning what can be done?

Here is the last update:  All of these guys speak Hindi and are from India.  They have numbers that reflect different places in the U.S. but are in fact calling from India.  I started speaking to them in Hindi and each one of them immediately spoke back in Hindi.  They were using some words in Urdu so they might be close to or in Pakistan but they all spoke Hindi just fine.  I think they must have hacked some database or bought some records from someone who hacked a database. Worse yet perhaps Cash Advance USA, or Payday Loan, or what ever company these guys claim to be working for outsourced to India and compromised everyone's records and some of the employees on their free time are trying to extort money from unsuspecting people.  The bottom line is thy only attack American names, people who they know are not Indian or speak Hindi.

Update.  I talked to this guy for quite a while now, Jeff Martin this time, thick Indian accent.  He said he's calling from Moorpark, and that is where the number 805-876-5771 traces back to.  He said that he is going to procede with the case now and file the papers so that I will have to go to court and spend thousands of dollars.  He also said that if I do decide to wire the money he will drop the charges.

This is the 4th call I have gotten about owe Cash American for a payday loan I never got.  And these people have the last 4 digits of my ssn and my home address.  How can I turn the tables on people like this.  When I mention my lawyer said take us to court and that I plan on suing them they hang up.  I wish someone could get me an address and name for this phone number.  I would then in turn send legal papers to them for harrassment.

This is a SCAM and nothing but an attempt to extort money.  Tell him you were directed to the FBI by someone, and found out that they are thieves.  Hang up on them.  If they keep calling you, anytime you actually get one of them on the phone, blow a metal whistle or signal horn in their ear.  I bet they don't keep bugging you for long.

I recieved a phone call today 10/31/11.  The return number was listed on my cell phone as

The person who called me had a very strong Russian accent.  

I called back and talked to someone named John with a very thick Indian accent.  John informed me that he is calling from a company called Advanced Cash USA and started reading to me different info from my past history like old bank account numbers and addresses and places of work.  I asked him how much I owe to avoid the legal fees and he said $602.00 but he'll settle for $445.00.  I asked him how I can pay and he said that I can pay with a visa or mastercard.  I'm supposed to call him back now after I get to a fax machine so he can fax me some papers regarding how to send him this money.

I called him back and told him that I wasn't able to find a fax machine and I didn't have credit or debit cards right now because I lost my job.  He told me to go to the nearest Wall Mart and there I could buy a pre-paid Visa card and there would be a fax machine there too.  Then I told him finally that I was homeless and they wouldn't let me into Wall Mart and he said that I should find the nearest family or friend and use their card to give him his money.

Another thing that "John" mentioned was that he was on eastern time so I should hurry and
send him the money today before 12:00pm my time, to avoid legal action.

John Smith called back one more time from this number and asked if I was able to find a friend or family member who would give their card to me so that I could pay him the money.  I told him that I was unable as my friends and family know that I don't have any money because I'm homeless so they wouldn't lend me any money.  John seemed satisfied and said it was ok and he'll take care of it.

I get a call from James Martin, who now has a Vietnamese accent which slowly turns into a Russian-Indian accent as the conversation goes on.  James called me from 805-876-5771.  He said that they found a solution to get my money if I am homeless and don't have any cards.  He told me to go to the nearest Western Union booth and wire him money with my cash.  He told me to use this information:

And wire him the $445 dollars using the person to person form.  What should I do now?

These people are calling my job being rude.

vince Davis called in broken english hard to understand. Said i had 3 law suits pending against my SSN and it was in my best interest to call him. He called muliple times in June and July then stopped then started calling again. He was practically yelling into the phone. He told me he was from a law office, didn't say which one just I must call 347-380-8981.

I just got called back to back at work by "Gary Christian".  Left a message with the receptionist.  He actually told her he was calling regarding a legal matter against my SSN.  #1 violation of the FDCPA. The receptionist knew he was fake but brought me the message anyway.  She put them to my voicemail but they left no message, only loud noise in the background.  Guess I will be adding to my current complaint and let our attorney know they are at it again.  They can never validate any information other than bits and pieces of my personal info but they don't have any valid debt info or anything.

I just got the same call on my cell phone from number 209-555-1214 as well, but on the voice mail an indian person left a message for me with my first and last name and stated that their would be a lwasuit against my ss number and gave the last four digits. He left a contact number is 347-380-8981 and said his name was Wince Davis  or something . Im not sure what this is but this is ridculious.

I got a email from a guy named Frank Morgan saying that I need to pay $420.00 in regards to a payday loan claiming to be from Bank of America. I called the 347-380-8981 number and told the guy that I don't owe money to him I also told him that I researched the number and that there is no such number that is valid. He said that he wanted his money and that I would not like what he is going to do to him monday morning. He also threatened me by saying that he would talk to one of my family members too. This is the third time I have been harrassed over a payday loan I never applied for. I even called Bank of America and they told me that they do not deal with payday loans.

somebody from this number called my employer and left a message on our call off line for my maiden name agnes holt.   This person when I called back did not answer with the company name.  On the message he happen to say something about my ssn.  someody need to put a stop to these people

I received a call from 347-380-8981 claiming a similar situation was happening with my SS#. Its a total scam these people want you to pay them like $500 in order for them to stop the litigation and then im sure they wouldnt plan on having further contact with you.

Also if you do give them your info and/or money the banks are not required to return any funds. please be careful. these people are ruthless and will keep calling.

I had this same problem. My issue started back in April of 2010. I did some research, come to find out this is nothing more than a bunch of SCAMMERS. I have reported these people to the FTC, BBB, IC3 Department. As of this day I have not recieved any other phone calls from these people. They give everyday names, but speakwith very POOR broken up accents. I think that everytime they have called me it has been the same person, just different names.

I a a receptionist for the company i work for. I answered a call & the guy asked for Nathan Irvin/Erwin? I advised him I did not ave a number listed for that person. I took a message,the name & number he left is Vince Davis 347-380-8981. This is a complete scam. I actually had this happen to me personally as well. I have since reported these SCAMMERS to FTC. They are now taking care of it.

Got a call harassing my mom talking abt I owe a debt... Somebody name Alexander black with an accent with the number 347-380-8981...all scamers...its getting annoying now
