Got the phone number coming up, don't recognize it, so I don't answer it.  

Yes...got same crap and email. I already have reported them to the attorney general of our state and to the attorney general for the state of NY. I have also contacted the FBI and forwarded them the extortion letter they sent me.

Make sure if this happens to you, you do the same! These people are bottom feeders of the lowest kind!

Today I received a call from this company from a gentleman who was very hard to understand. He said he was calling in regards to the medication I ordered online. I was very confused as I do not take medication and informed him of it. He then tried to say I ordered the medication a few years ago. I said "Really? What medication was it?" He could not answer my question he said he didn't have that information in front of him. He then asked if I lived at such and such address. It was an old address I hadn't lived at for years and he had called me at my work number.

Luckily I have caller ID on my phone and was able to see the phone number as well as the company called WPI Group, Inc. Upon investigation this company has been involved in many different telemarketing scams even the one where they claim they are from Microsoft and then download malware onto your computer and hold it hostage until you pay them X amount of money. If you get a call from them hang up on them and then report them.

Keep getting calls from 347-468-9546 at my job on my direct line.  Haven't left a message yet but they seem to be relentless.  I won't answer it because I don't know who it is.

this email told me i was under government investigation for not paying a online payday loan and i was being sued if i didnt pay but i have not had a online payday loan and i when i call the number back which is 347-468-8535 it went straight into a celluar phone voice mail as if this is someone scamming called a lawyer and they ran the number and they told me this is a scammer do reply to these email or calls just ignore them if this helps anyone these people are scammers trying to get money and they steal information and try to get innocent people to pay them money disreguard this number i listed hope this helps you all

I got a call from this number...have been getting it for awhile, I don't answer since I don't know who it is.  The last few calls have had a "011" country code ahead of the number.  I've filed with the Attorney General's office and the FCC.

I recieved a phone call  from 347-468-9571 this morning and missed the call they left a msg saying it was urgent to call back and if not in a timely manner all he could do was wish me luck and god bless. i called back because i thought it was family.when they answered first of all he said hello as if he was a normal person then i said ii was returning a call and he put me on hold and turned into a indian man with a strong accent. asked them what they were callling for then he  wanted to verify information GAVE ME MY social address and email!?!? WTF so i said where are u calling from again?? First State Attorney office i said idk wat this is about but i dont understand s#*t ur saying so can u give me someone who speaks ENGLISH so i can understand and he said i am the one handling your case! i said well u got to speak english if not send me a damn email...so he said ok and hung up then i searched the number and came to this site read a few msgs and started calling them back because i got hot at this point.i yelled over them talking asking for the email and they got irrittated and hung up i kept calling back then they started sending me to voicemail(BOX FULL) so the nn ext time i got them i told them id be sending the number to the police to trace them and stop fu#*ing with me. and they hung up..

got a call from these people today said i took a loan out last month and had to pay.  they have called me before so now I just like to mess with them when they call.  i use to work in an attorneys office and my father is a judge.  so i know how the law works as far as debt collecting.  its obviously a scam.  i got a call from david jackson with a big indian accent.  he said i owed 300 dollars.  i asked where he was calling from he said new york city.  i asked him what burrow in nyc, he said a tall building.  i laughed at him. i told him to get a real job then he started asking me to get him a job,   when i asked him his name he said david  i then said whats your last name he paused for about 30 seconds then said jackson. i just like to mess with these guys when they call.  i've called everyone before as far as authorities and nothing. so i have to take the law into my own hands.  just mess with them it really pisses them off

This is what I did last week when I got the call. I interupted as the guy was reading his script. I told him very firmly that I knew the call was a scam. I filed a police report, opened a case with the FBI and filed a complaint with the FTC & IC3. I also told him very firmly he does not scare me, I'm not afraid of his threats and he's not getting a dime from me. He then threatened to call my employer which I then told him they already know about these scams calls. I again told him I wasn't scared of his threats and he would get NO money from me. I haven't received another call since. Hopefully it will stay that way too.

This same guy keeps calling me saying that the police will pick me up if i do not get an attorney.. He has called me three times today.. He said that i was being charged with check fraud and i have no clue to what he is talking about.. Some really needs to put an end to this..

this guy is rather annoying keeps calling me several times a day trying to get my laywers information saying im being sued and if i dont call him back god be with me... i cant even understand his accent but basicley was telling me i was being sued by a compnay i never even went threw.. then he started calling my job my boss pretty much told him not to call my job again.. i dont understand why this guy is not being caught after researching the number i found sevral comments about how the guys calls and threatens people that they will go to jail if they dont pay... i dont think we should have to change our phone number just him to stop i wish the athoritys would do some thing to stop this guy think about the people that are not smart enough to know this is scam or is just so scard they will be going to jail and just pays him... its not right this guy needs to be stoped

received this call stating I have fraud and I need to pay $543 or I will be charged with fraud.  I need to get a pre paid walmart card and call him then he would tell me what to do from there.....  These people need to be caught!

these scam artist from India, when he called did he have an heavy Indian accent ?  you should report it to police or FBI

My husband received a call from this number (347-468-9569) and it was basically the same story "Indian Accent male telling him that he has 1 hour to pay $598 or a sheriff will be picking him up at work tomorrow and taking him to the judge for a not paying a payday loan." We were really scared for a few hours and spent an hour online looking the company up, scams, payday loans, and even the phone number.  Obviously this is a scam but my real reason for posting this is to say Thank You to those who have posted scams like this. If it wasn't for seeing all of these postings, we would not know if it was a scam and would have never slept thinking he was going to jail or would have paid.  That's a scary threat and its sad that people need to steal from hardworking Americans and anyone at that.

WOW everybody is going through the same thing my wife is going through right now same guy every time demanding money paid now or federal agents will be showing up at her work or at our home same number that you all posted to. he got upset with me  when i went off on him telling him if this is the guy wanting money then me and you have a problem. he just had to talk to my wife he said well same thing again. this is b***s*** that our privacy is  in their hands to do this to us. thank you internert for letting our information out to these scammers

Hey guys I got the same call over and over.If you want to have some fun keep calling them bake my call was from Mike Davis call them back over and over again and tell them there not getting any thing or prank call them.my uncle does the same thing when scammers call theyll think this guys nuts and stop calling you.y'all can do wat ever y'all want but this is a form of bulling and them trying to get money from you they have no rite to so in short they can harvest all the farts they want they want get anything from this a**!!!!!

I got the same call, both on my cell and at work. You cant understand the caller but he says he is an attorney and if i dont pay now i will go to jail.

Thanks to 800notes I know that other people have faced the same scam from this (347) 468-9569 phone number. When I searched the web for "WPI Group, Inc.," the listings were in New Hampshire and New Jersey. However, thr call sounded like it was coming from some sort of telemarketing boiler room. Today I received the first call from these people at 7 a.m. and a second call shortly after 8 a.m. I do have a voicemail message which they left on my phone last Friday. The woman on Friday called herself Michelle Jones and had a caller ID number listed as "413849583291," but when she called at 8 a.m. today, her caller ID number listed as "825892238911." Ms. Jones, as she called herself, in her Friday voicemail message left a call back number of (281) 791-0467. The 281 area code is listed as Spring, Texas in Harris County (near Houston), but.the  347 area code is located in New York in the vicinity of New York City. The callers actually may not even be in this country, which would explain the oddball phone numbers listed by caller ID on two of the calls I received. Somone should report these people to the FBI because it is clear they are pursuing an identity theft agenda most likely with information stolen from the internet.

Sounds like he is calling from a busy call center.
He knows my first name.  Says that he needs to speak to my attorney because of a lawsuit against me.  Keeps saying that there is very little time for me to respond before being sued.  He gave me a case  file # and asked me to call back 347-468-9571 x359.  I asked for him to send me something in the mail regarding the situation and hung up.

Yea I have gotten calls from this number for a few days now and I even got a girl call me and tell me her name was beth and that I had a lawsuit. I am 19 and have not gotten anything from a payday loan place. I don't know what to do to stop these people from calling can anyone help me?

Don't be scared by these people. Somewhere along the line you have applied to some kind of untraditional loan/or funding and the people at the company at which you applied were scum enough to sale all of your personal information to these people. It seems like they try to scare you into paying no matter if you owe or not. Scam, scam, scam. Do your best to ignore, or even change your number if possible.
