got a call. no answer and called back but no pickup

Unsolicited call.  Returned call & was placed on hold. I hung up.

Same here, got a call today and as soon as I answered it, no one was there.  This person needs to get a life!  How can we prevent these calls from happening??  Very annoying!

Got call at 8AM central..rang only one time not even a whole ring.....glad I checked here. Thnaks for the info...

this person is stll at it.  I received call today.missed call.   no message left.  I did not call back.

Missed call from unknown at 3:05pm.

347-590-4513 called my company cell phone at 10:17 AM Central time Saturday 07 April 2012.  One-half ring.  Did not answer.  No message.  Did not return the call.

Called 4/6/2012   7:30pm  did not leave message

I work in a call center, and I got this call today around 3:30 Chicago time. Does not sound like your typical call center. I would be very wary and do not call it back. If it is not even a real person on the line then there is no way to get them to take them off the call list.
I wonder if they are going to call back. I will not be picking up, even if I can get to the phone!
Again, I am in the business (sadly, not by choice) and this sounds SHADY!

I got one ring and then a hang-up. 5:55 pm California time.

Received a call on my cell-phone while I was in the rest room.  It rang once and hung up.
I believe it to be a spam call and I will always let it go to voice mail.

wow, these messages go back a couple years. i had a "missed" call on my cell with this #.3-29-12

I got a call from this number...it hung up after I picked the call up after 3 rings...

This is how solicitors are getting around the "Do Not Call" registry. They phone a number, hang up on connection. You call back, which means they can claim that YOU called THEM, so they are free and clear of the DNR legislation. I was very saddened to learn that some cell companies are now selling their numbers, and also many of these solicting companies use what is called a "dialer", a machine that simply calls any sequence of numbers at random.

I have Sprint cell service and have tried to "block" this #, yet I have been unable to do so. Sprint tells me there is no way to do this. Anyone have any input on how to block a # on your cell phone? I do not have a smartphone, just a simple plain old Sanyo 2700.
