I got this type of call at my job and home said they rep us cash/cash net
stated I will be locked up and wanted 780 to make it go away from a green dot card
it a scam I checked on this with my state attorney general

I received a call from a man saing that I dont get a Lawyer, I would go to jail, so I feel this a scam, I want them to stop, thank you Melodie Bales

Same thing threatening to have me arrested for a loan that I never had. I asked where they were calling from and he said Brooklyn, NY company name Alfred and Marshal legal associates. Tried to tell me that they are representing US Cash Lending. I said thanks for the info but you are not going to scam me out of any money. I told him I was going to file charges against them and the company that gave them my personal information. He was very irate but I was to! I am not a fool and will not be scammed out of money by these fools. He said you cant file charges against me because I did not ask you for any money. Jerk you were thinking you would scare me into it! He refused to give me the information for US Cash lending..said he will call back when he verifies the debt. Go ahead and call me back!

I had the same phone call, saying I need to get my lawyer because I will be arrested for 3 counts of fraud, with all my infor.Why  
can't these people be stopped? I know I do not owe any internet payday loans of any sort! He even  had the nerve to hang up on before I could say any thing.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Just had the same call with a guy name Roy.  I ask him to send me the documentation that he had via email so that I could give it to my atty.  He said he could not email me or send me anything.  What a SCAM.  I told the guy this was a scam and hung up on him.  .

Jonathan edwards called telling me I'm gonna b arrested for check fraud.

It's a scam, they say it's a time sensitive issue and a warrant out for your arrest. They just want your card information don't give in. Just hang up!

"Kevin Johnson" called my cell and my employer as well. I returned the call and cited Kentucky Statute 286 9-010.  Which states that even if you had taken out a payday loan (which I did not) that in my state of Kentucky you cannot be tried or jailed due to non payment of a payday loan. Furthermore it states that if the company  does not have a physical office within this state that the terms of the payday loan are null and void as it is illegal in the state of Kentucky for an online payday loan service to lend money to anyone in this state without a physical office within the state. Dude hung up before I even finished the first sentence. Protect yourself people.

Just got a phone call at my job the receptionist took a message. I called them back and some idiot claiming his name was Johnson yet he had a thick middle eastern accent. I asked him kindly to stop calling my job and started yelling at me saying I was going to be arrested tomorrow morning lol . I wonder how many poor folks fall for this bs and give their cc number.. horrible people need to be stopped

Ryan Miller, a nice Middle Eastern man, called and said I have an unsecured loan that needed repayment or the police would be at my place of business in the morning to arrest me. These are ALL scams .. as I advised Mr. Miller and when he asked for my attorney, I gave him the Texas FBI phone #. I also told him to keep his phone on in his country, because Iwould be calling him for bail when I was arrested from 8000 miles away. Not Buying It!

Said call was about check fraud. If I did not pay they would come arrest me.......LMAO. Complete Scam!!!

I just received a phone call from 347-690-1340 and Jordan Millers said, it was a Legal Emergency.  I told him to stop calling my work and please do not call anymore, told this to Jordan that it was a scam and I hung up.

They called me too... saying it's "Ryan Campbell" and I need to have my attorney call or all he can do is wish me luck. Total scam.

I reported them to the attorney general and national fraud association....and their phone carrier....that last one might get them in trouble...good I hope they get shut down....

this is a total scam in order for them to get you to send them green dot money cards.....don't answer their calls and they move on.....

My husband got the same call yesterday....Its a scam................They hack your information from something you did online and threaten to sue you and arrest you. Any legitimate place especially law office would send something in writing to your house, would tell you when and what payday loan you took out, and would never threaten to arrest you. Some of the real ones threaten to sue but not arrest. These guys doing this have been changing numbers for years trying to scam people out of money. The other warning is that it is in New York...The national scam FBI network said that there is all kind of scams taken out of New York right now. They will probably call back quite a few times. The best thing to do is either block their number or get something really loud and blow it in their ear when they call. Being deafened a few times will make them stop...Hope I helped.

I received two vm from a gentleman with indian accent saying his name is Adam Peterson.  I need to call him back or my retained attorney of records to a very extremely time sensitive issue at 347-690-1340.  Who is this person?  Anyone with a foreign accent is upto no good.
