Hi I am in Alabama and I got the same call today. He even fussed my boss out and said I know she at work and I want to speak to her right now. So when I got on the phone I asked for his name and information. He said his telephone number was 646-571-4211 and I owed 1245.00 to Western Union it like everyone else said they did them.

Tottally agree.....dont even need to waste money on a lawyer....jus dont answer these lobeen lifes.......jus been down this road..........

Dont believe these people...usually they cant even give u that much info about your account....and dont even e mail u anything....nor do they want a check or credit card ....only that u western unoin them.....i told them jus notify the cops...id rather deaal with them....then a bunch of crooks.......people if u default on a 300 dollar loan....the y will not arrest you....you would be taken to court first....then maybe garnish your wages.....come on...you see the news everyday.....people owe thousands....aand still dont end up in jail.....there operating out of another country thats why they tell u to western unoin its much easier for them to collect.....they cant get caught cuase of the fact there not operating here....!!!!.....western unoin could travel far........simply ignore them or be straight out rude and let them know u know bout these scams.....and go fck themselves........your truly from someone who jus went through all this....!!!!!!

So, I get this message. His name is Officer James Brown, supposedly. He says that I have charges against me using my own SS# and to give them a call. 919-275-3329 which is actually overseas, because I called Missouri Analyst hotline and reported these people. So, I call and some Indian guy answers and says the guy will call me back. So, he calls right back, Officer James Brown, and says hold on let me give you to my Senior Officer, which he gets on the phone and it's still James Brown pretending to be the Senior Officer. He says I owe money from a payday loan, which I never got, and when I said send me those documents and I will call my lawyer he gets irate and says he is going to send someone to my home, I said go ahead and I will have my lawyer waiting. Me and my lawyer go to call back, and BAM disconnected. No worries folks! Closed bank account and got fraud alert on the credit report. Watch out for these non speaking english, greedy, lying b*****ds. The number to report these idiots are 866-362-6422. Good luck and protect yourselves!!!

I got the same call today from 919-275-3329. Did what you did -- looked up cafefone which led me to this site. Thank goodness others have posted or I would have fallen for this because they have so much personal information. If people get these calls, keep posting the phone number so others don't get scammed.

look up first state attorneys office collectors on google. it's these people. they have wealth of information out there. you also need to check your credit report, put a freeze on your credit, call your bank and cancel any cards they have. i paid them 562.87 earlier this month and then last week there was another 25.00 taken out of my account. i have since closed that card but i have also cancelled my drivers license because i stupidly sent them a copy of my license.  report to FTC at least.  they have lots of complaints. this is a scam. true debt collectors cannot threaten you, have to be polite and professional to you on the phone and have to prove that you owe the debt.  these people won't do this. they get mad and say they will arrest you etc etc. .....

I've been receiving these same phone calls from 919-275-3329. They call my job and my cellphone very often. There are four different people. They said they are duputies and sheriffs. Duputy Tina, Duputy David Smith, Sherriff Kim Watson and Duputy Jonathan Cooke. All of them have a weird accent. Today Kim Watson call into my cellphone with a 911 Emergency call, scared me to death, thought something was wrong with a family memeber. She is telling me I owe $532.00 and if I don't pay, she was going to have me arrested, she even threaten to call my supervisor and tell her about me frauding their company. I also spoke with Johnathan Cooke who told me if I did not pay, i need to go directly to the court house and turn myself in. I ask for the address and he could not give my one. They could not give me any info about their business or my so called account I have with them. He did give me western union info. this is how I found this website. Cafefone was the company name, city code was cafefone and he gave me an account number. I decided to come home and goggle this name and this is where it brought me. Before today they would not give me any information. All they would say is I owe them $532.00 becuase of a loan. How can we stop this?

Got a phone call from these FRAUD SCAMER'S from 281-886-8187 which they called my daughter's job and how they got her phone number I don't know but this is how it went down, I have already contacted my lawyer and police department and got a case number on Mr. Rex Howard: I received a call this man Rex Howard several times on my cell number but I couldn't call him back but today he called my daughter at work and how he got her number I don't know and telling her to contact me because he is getting ready to have me served.  Since, I have been liad off I had to borrower someone else cell phone to call him and he called me from (281-886-8187 and I asked him what is this in regards to, he then stated to me that I was being sued for $857.11 owed to USA Cash Advance and he was the attorney at the Attorney General office, so I asked him why hasn't this company contacted me he then stated that they have tried to reach me by e-mail and that it would go into my spam (junk box) email, so I asked him do you read your spam mail this is how you get viruses in your computer.  I then asked him for his mailing address and he gave me: 608 W12th st steB, Austin, TX, so I then asked him well why are you calling me from area code (281) which is Houston, TX and giving me a Austin, TX address and then your're scaring me, threating me about being served, well if you have all my personal information why didn't you send me something in the mail.  I contacted my lawyer and provied him with this Rex Howard name, phone number and mailing address.  These peoples need to be stopped, and like you say he had a thick West India accent where I could hardly understand what he was saying.  We let all these people into our country for a better way of life and this is how we get treated in return, how sad.  What if I was elderly with a bad heart problem and you told me this I would probably have a HEART ATTACK, I'm not elderly but I do take blood pressure medication and this is NOT COOL at all.

I have had about 5 calls today from this number at my work. I have not been able to talk to these people but they are threatening legal action. I know this is a scam it's just frustrating because I can't get them to stop calling me. They called last week as well. The message "James Miller" leaves on my voicemail just says to call him back as this is a time sensitive matter or he will have me arrested. He didn't even leave a phone number. When I call the number back it says that the voice mail is full. The majority of the calls are coming from 352-390-2183. I had one call that was him - although he said his name was Don Miller, and my coworker said "You mean James Miller", he hung up - that number came from Anaheim, CA. The number is 714-323-6504

I got a call from 352 390 2183  saying he was Sean Morris sounded foriegn and hard to understand. Said I needed to call them back or he could only wish me luck "as the situation unfolds for you". Then he said something else foriegn.

Just received a call at work from 352-390-2183.  Said they are from some law office called
AMG  located in LosAngeles California.  Looking for money I owe .  Would not give me
any  information .  Wanted my lawyers telephone number.  I told him to send me the paper
work and I will forward to my lawyer.  They hung up on me.  I will probably have another phone
call waiting at home for me.

Got a call today at my job. And come to think of it about a few months ago someone called me and said that I should call them back due to a legal lawsuit or I would suffer the consequences.  Now they have been calling me at work.  I got something for them next time they call me.  Glad to know this is a scam!  Other info they game me until I said scam.  Then he got mad and hung up

THESE SORRY M-F'ers keep calling me from # 352-390-2183 with this scam asking for my wife even after I "cuss" them out literally every single day. They claim to be "AMG LLC LAW OFFICE" or just "LAW OFFICE" that's showing up out of OCALA, FL, there is no such place in Ocala, I checked with the operater and also LUXUMBORG and I'm sure other places with other people, with 50 people working in the background making all kinds of chatter...yeah right. Then when I'm yelling at them about this "$1200.00" and their scam they start cussing me out in what sounds like TAGALOG... yeah thats real law clerk like. You might want to register on the DO NOT CALL LIST, don't know if it will work on this one but it just might. And since the idiots keep calling me, I'm gonna start harassing them every chance I get...I'm so glad that I have a digital phone, I can call as much as I want and not have to worry about long distance rates. Payback is a B@#%H.

First time called could only hear background noise and people talking.  Second time they told me I had been used as a reference and that they didn't want to bring me into court, but would.  I didn't let him finish because I've had these calls before and it's always about my father in law owing someone money.  I advised this gentleman that if they had called for a reference they wouldn't have got one and also that he had no legal way to drag a person listed as a reference for anything into court and hold them responsible for someone else's debt.  He said he would and I called him an idiot.  Then he called me an idiot.  I hung up and then he called once more just to hang up on me.  Thick accent, not professional sounding at all (grammar, background noise)

Well I got a call from 352-390-2183, twice yesterday..once to my job and the other on my cell phone. He had a thick Caribbean accent..and stated that I was going to be arrested tomorrow ( which is today) since i owed money. I ask him Who he was and how did he get my information?  he stated that they were a legal firm. He wanted me to send them some money through western union...at that point I hung up!

Just rec'd call to cell and work phone, saying I need to have my attorney contact them or they will send police to my work. Could harldly understand as he had a very thick accent.

received a call saying I owe $5,484 but said they would only give info to my attorney

I received a call from this number stating that they are an attorney's office filing a claim against me for a loan that has already been paid.  When I called back to get a fax number to provide the paid letter and copies of my bank statement showing the cleared payments, they hung up on me....I don't know who they are but watch out...They also told me that they would file a crimal charges against me today  and that tomorrow the law inforcement would be at my home or job to pick me up.

Got a call yesterday from some jerk claiming to be a lawyer and saying I was named in some lawsuit.  I told him I didn't believe anything he was saying.  He got flustered.  Then I told him to f#$% off.  He hung up.

The Man called me again.  Told him that I had been in contact with the Sheriffs Dept and My Attorney.  That if he had anything to talk to me about to do it in writing,  AND for him to stop calling me or I would file harrassment charges on him.  He hung up..

After further investigation,  this is a land line in FL  the adress is a vacant lot,  the 352-327-9006 number they also use is a cell located in Gainsville FL.   Lat,  29.19  Lon, -82.13

I got a call stating the same thing, about i have a criminal case against me and that he was from a law enforcement agency
how do i make a complaint about this and also have this investigated

This guys called me 3 time today and left a message about a criminal case too.  I called back and he got upset when I began to question him.  He wanted my name and of course I didn't give it to him.  He told me he was sending the Sheriff out to my house.....whatever!!  Not sure what he is up to, but he sounded like he was talking through a computer....very hard to understand.  He called yesterday too and left the number 954-628-3313 we called that number and he answered and hung up on us, when we immediately called back the number had been temporarily disconnected.

Officer abraham smith called saying that he had a case file against me and that if I didn't call back it would be my suffering and I would lose my job and not be able to get another one for 6 months...He is also calling my mother...he wants money and it is a HUGE scam!!!! don't fall for it!!

Currently getting calls from this number after my wife's purse was stolen.
they are contacting everyone that was in her cell phone contact list.  Atempting to get money.

This number was used in a scam, these people are not law enforcment officers that they claim to be. Overseas scam to send info or money.
