Same story .. called and said that I had to give $2500.00 to Fed EX man who would be delivering "Waiver" papers to stop Federal arrest for  a drug order for Estradiol in 2003  that I do not even remember ordering.  (
(Estradiol is natural estrogen, female hormone.) I had to agree immediately to pay the "fine"  (later changed to repayment for government charges spent in investigating me.  He gave me five minutes in which to promise to pay. (In "green.moneypak".)

new # is 949-800-7449.  Det. Mark Taylor. DEA detective. Ha these guys actually are cheap entertainment.  Not very convincing, they said they had a search warrant for my mother in law as well as arrest warrant.  Wow,  i asked first if they would come by and search the house, cause I lost my wallet a few days ago.  Then instructed them that they would have to serve the warrant at the memorial cemetery cause their hopeful fraud victim had passed several years ago.  Hope these punks get punked soon.

Report Extortion Scam: 1-877-792-2873

NOV 10 -- (Denver) The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is warning the public about criminals posing as DEA special agents or other law enforcement personnel as part of an international extortion scheme.

The criminals call the victims (who in most cases previously purchased drugs over the Internet or by telephone) and identify themselves as DEA agents or law enforcement officials from other agencies. The impersonators inform their victims that purchasing drugs over the Internet or by telephone is illegal, and that enforcement action will be taken against them unless they pay a fine.  In most cases, the impersonators instruct their victims to pay the "fine" via wire transfer to a designated location, usually overseas.  If victims refuse to send money, the impersonators often threaten to arrest them or search their property.  Some victims who purchased their drugs using a credit card also reported fraudulent use of their credit cards.

Impersonating a federal agent is a violation of federal law.  The public should be aware that no DEA agent will ever contact members of the public by telephone to demand money or any other form of payment.

The DEA reminds the public to use caution when purchasing controlled substance pharmaceuticals by telephone or through the Internet.  It is illegal to purchase controlled substance pharmaceuticals online or by telephone unless very stringent requirements are met. All pharmacies that dispense controlled substance pharmaceuticals by means of the Internet must be registered with DEA.

Kevin Merrill, Acting Special Agent in Charge of DEA?s Denver Field Division said, ?By ordering any pharmaceutical medications online or by telephone from unknown entities, members of the public risk receiving unsafe, counterfeit, and/or ineffective drugs from criminals who operate outside the law. In addition, personal and financial information could be compromised. Unfortunately, we have received several reports of Colorado citizens being victimized by this scam.?

Anyone receiving a telephone call from a person purporting to be a DEA special agent or other law enforcement official seeking money should refuse the demand and report the threat.

The funniest part of this scam is he does not even know how to act like a DEA "AGENT".  He calls himself Detective Matt P.  There are no detectives in the DEA they are called agents. And when he called me he said the same thing that he was with the DEA agency.  Ah DEA stands for Drug Enforcement Agency there is no real agent that would say that dumb crap, agency is already in the name.  I have friends in the DEA and they laughed there a$$ off when I told them this.  Just report what you can to the real DEA.

The new # is 620-682-4675.  What a jerk (criminal) that is

Man this guy has called me 4 times using Matt Peterson twice and Chris Delgotto twice :)  He called himself Det. Matt P.  with the DEA.  I busted his a** and told him there are no detectives they are called Agents and they do not conduct investigations by phone...then he hung up ....lol.  I have two good friends in the DEA in Atlanta and Florida and told them about this guy.  He is saying he is in Washington state but he is not. They  told me he is using a dialer from probably P Rico.  I gave all his names and numbers to the fraud unit at DEA.  They told me they have been after him for a while now, so if any of you have info call the DEA and let them know.  The agent I talked to was very nice about it and pretty pissed that guy is impersonating the DEA and told me if and when the catch him it going to be a big a** federal offense.  So for everyone who here that this moron calls just remember the real DEA is onto him big time!!!!

The newest number he gave me was 253-719-7998.....I asked for the name of his superior, which took a while to get it out of him...but finally said Lt. Lance Burkman.....also said his badge #7736.
I will forward all of this to my agency. My local DEA agent said there was no one listed in the directory by that name.

Hi Shan, I contacted my local DEA office and reported it. I just got another call today from same man, and once I started questioning him and told him that I was going to report the information back to my local DEA office, Peterson told me that he was a little offended because all he was trying to do was help me out in case I wanted to have the case dismissed. He hung up abruptly after telling me that I would be receiving a summons. So I will report once again to my local agency, and then just wait and see what happens.
Hope this information helped. :o)

Just got a call from (253) 292-2659, said he was Detective Matt Peterson of the "DEA Department" and I was part of an ongoing investigation, and that I needed to call immediately and ask for "Mike Peter". I called back on another phone line and no one answered. Obvious scam by a really incompetent extortionist.

I just got a call from this man today. Same story. Stated he was with the DEA and there was an ongoing investigation, blah, blah, blah. Said for me to send a $2500.00 through Western Union to dismiss any criminal charges against me for purchasing a controlled substance (which I never did) and have no earthly idea what he is talking about! I might have purchased a non-controlled medication from that website he mentioned 8 years ago and these pharmacy people still try calling me and asking me if I want to place another order. Obviously a HUGE scam....I got off the phone with him and googled his name and came to this site. He called me back and I told him he was a Fraud and found this Blog, then some other guy got on the phone and asked me AGAIN to just wire the money or even make payments if I couldnt afford it- HA! Then, AKA Matt Peterson gets back on the phone and asked me AGAIN if I want to get out of being a FELON for life and wire the money today which he had told me earlier Friday was the deadline. His directions were for me to Western Union this money to Judge Christopher Santana at 66 Charles Street DR-INT.... WTF??? Once my husband finds out about this.....definately reporting this. Can anyone advise me the best place to report this too?

I just got a call from this number...man stated his name was Det. Matt Peterson with the DEA dept. Told me he was going regarding an ongoing investigation and needed to call him back immediately. I called back and got an generic answering service recording....I called my husband who is a police officer, and he called the number...A man answered, but when my husband asked him who he was and asked if he was an agent with DEA....and the man denied being an agent, and hung up...I called our local DEA office and spoke with a real agent...gave him the info...name, number, etc...the agent looked up the mans name and said he WAS not an agent...The agent told me the only thing I can do right now is if the man calls back, get as much information from him that I can get, then call the real agency back. GOOD GRIEF!!
