Number comes up but I don't answer and no message is left.
I also am currently living with, taking care of my elderly Mom. Calls from this number and many others annoy me, but they really upset / scare my mother. She often confuses caller ID location messages as people's names, and some recorded scam / surveys introduce themselves with the same first names as people she actually knows and confuses her even more.
7:59 PM. UNKNOWN CALLER. DID NOT ANSWER

It's not a survey - it's a telemarketing fraud. If you press 1 to be removed, as suggested by the shill for this telemarketing fraud, your number will be confirmed as live and added to a suckers list for repeated future calls from this telemarketing fraud, and sold to the operators of other telemarketing frauds.
Plain Fed Up
I saw your post regarding your mother's scam calls and noticed that some of the numbers match the same numbers that are calling here. Only here, they're offering reduced rates on credit cards. Since they (1) don't mention any particular credit card; and (2) nobody owes a large credit card amount, I KNOW this is a scam. I've reported them several times to the DNC list but they keep calling.
The next time, I'm going to threaten to sue. I've written the numbers down of every company that has called that had no business calling. From here on, if they call, I'm threatening legal action and then will report them.
Maybe that will get somewhere.
Plain Fed Up
According to ABC news, you can threaten to sue these people if you are on the DNC list. It's against the law for them to violate the DNC list and call you anyway (unless they are collection agencies, pollsters, and charities).
They want to "offer me a lower interest rate on my credit card". They never bother to tell me what kind of credit card or who they're with, so I know it's a scam. I've reported them and reported them and reported them to the DNC list and still get the cards. I looked it up tonight and found this on an old ABC report. I'm going to start threatening to sue them. Oh. I wait until I get a live person after the robocall finishes its spiel. I usually get hung up on, but this morning I got some smart aleck who told me to "have a nice day". I wanted to rip her tongue out.
I have an elderly mother who has Alzheimer's. I don't get a lot of sleep, and had JUST gotten to lie down. The phone woke me up. I was NOT a happy camper and sure didn't need a smart aleck who woke me up telling me to have a nice day. I want to scare the living daylights out of them so they'll leave me the heck alone!
This should be outlawed and stopped.
I've been trying to figure out a way to start robocalling them back. I'd like to return the harassment. Give them a taste of their own medicine.
Great idea! Thanks!
You have an option to unsubscribe off the bat, within 20 seconds. Read all terms and conditions next time you supply your number to any company. Most companies make money through "data mining" and sales to "affiliates" of said data.
THESE CALLS ARE COMING MORE AND MORE JUST DO NOT ANSWER
They also call from 3604743956
My elderly mother is receiving calls from numbers associated with ISI Alarms. She hangs up after hearing their threatening message from the "FBI" that there have been numerous break-ins in our area. Since our numbers are on the DNC, I just filed a complaint with the FCC and listed all the numbers that have shown up on her Caller ID. I suggest you do the same. I will not contact ISI to get a bs story from them. They are breaking the law and need to be stopped now.
Numbers on the Caller ID:
ISI Alarms - 800-650-2712
919 Main St
Mooresville, NC 39228
Telemarketer name = Security Promotions
Call from survey group. I called back several days later when going through my call log of unfamiliar phone numbers and the recording stated that the survey time wanting my participation had expired.
PLEASE NOTE: The recording gave me the choice of OPTING OUT of FUTURE SURVEY CALLS by pressing 1 at the end of their message.
Good luck!!! :)
I received a phone call from this number on my cell. I am on the do not call list. Please stop the phone calls.
You gotta say, "I just hid the body boss, what next?"
I save the # to my contact list as Pest# (Use any number you want), so that when it rings, it shows up on my phone as what I've named it) When it rings, it announces Pset# so and so and that way I just ignore it - knowing who it's from isn't important. Saves minutes.
Someone rang my landline right as I got in the shower this afternoon but PO America is right behind Santa on my rolodex of probable culprits. It was strange though, I got out and my phone records showed no missed call. If it was a friend, they also would have called.
I agree with you, jxenos! Simply just do not answer these type of stupid calls. If it so damn important, they send you/us a registered, Express mail, or FedEx package with a postage pre-paid envelope.
Do not answer.
I got this call and it seems they have been getting my cell phone # from the Do not call list because they also called my father's cell #, my younger brother's cell #, & my mother's cell # becuase I just put my entire family on the Do not call list that is why I know for sure that they got my family's #s from the list. This is nothing but BS.
This number came up on my caller ID, they called my home phone while I was away. Message was garbled.
I'm tempted to leave a review but I'd just sound crazy. You all sound crazy. Does this s*** really happen? I don't know, I remember receiving a text in like 2005, but to the best of my recollection, I've never been called by a telemarketer.
360-474-3948 ... LOL, a 'new' number, I see!
Good thing I inoculated my phone (via TrapCall) by adding this and a 'block' numbers (based on the (390) 474-3940 one! These lame bozo's are already blacklisted and will receive a disconnected number message. LMAO!
They can try till H*ll freezes over but won't get through.
I suggest either checking out GoogleVoice or TrapCall (cheapest is 4.95 a month), GoogleVoice can be free though... but will leave that up to you :).
Both have much the same feature. Worth a try as well as reporting these and the other scam artists. Plus ... local and national media exposure (NBC, CBS, ABC/CNN, MSNBC, Fox... TV & Radio along with getting our Reps and Senators in D.C. to get off their lazy you-know-whats and actually do something about these a**holes illegally calling each of us). Simple blocking won't work though ... as they spoof each number and the actual one can still get through. Good luck!
I gave neutral answers to all questions then was disconnected before I could "get my cruise". They have called me multiple times since and the same results. The best thing to do is to give them bs data and see if they give you a cruise. If you are disconnected, report it to the FBI under fraud. If they are purposefully avoiding holding up their end of the deal that is fraud. It can only be investigated if multiple independent complaints are made. Also, these pollsters use companies like the Voice Broadcasting Corp. who charge them about 5 cents per call. So, by requesting removal from their list is just saving them money. I suggest answering and hanging up so they get charged for the call.
Location: Washington (Bellingham, Vancouver
All the same except from phone number 360-474-3948
Hung up immediately.
IT IS A SCAM!
Robocall from Political Opinions of America. Take a survey and win a cruise.
Their website is FAKE. The cruise is not free. They are illegal telemarketing crooks hiding behind a fake survey to get gullible people's personal information -- name, phone number, credit cards -- whatever they can.
Do not press any number to have yourself removed from their list. Do not call them back. Do not fill out a form on their website. THAT IS WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO DO!
HANG UP! Add them to your phone's address book under SCAM. Block the number if you have that capability. Since they are calling from multiple spoofed (fake) numbers, you will have to do this more than once.
Immediately report all scam calls like this to www.donotcall.gov. "They" cannot do anything about it until we all report the crime.
I have ringtones assigned to all important callers in my contact list. Outside callers just ring, which I don't answer if I don't recognize the number right away.
I received a call from this # and missed it (they left no message). I did a google search to see if it was a company or something and found all of this. :(
