Answering tape recording was about some scam about wanting to lower your credit interest rate to 6.9%, but your account is ok, no problems with it...how would they know anything anyway?  As I said, just another scam...ignore 'em!

I just got a call from the same number, identified as "Emergency Alert" at 5:00pm EDT on 9/6/2012. When I answered, there was nobody there.

Received a call from this number today identified by caller ID as Emergency Alert. No answer when I picked up. When I redialed the number got a recording saying in an English accent that the number I dialed was temporarily unavailable and to try again later. My daughter is travelling in England and this freaked me out with the accent that sounded very similar to the one you get for voicemail on Verizon when calling England. Thanks to all who posted here for restoring my peace of mind -- these people are vicious, preying on people with this emergency stuff.

got a call from "EMERGENCY ALERT" on Wednesday, Aug 22, 2012 No one was on the line when I picked it up .. definately going on my call block list

The caller id was "EMERGENCY ALERT"  I haven't gotten a call from this number before nor do I recognize anything about it.  Creepy.  Friday, August 17, 2012

This call came in as Emergency Alert.  Caller was told that we were on the Do Not Call list and that was ignored - I asked to be removed from calling list that too was answered with Can I ask you a question?  I informed her that I was going to report their number and then hung up.  They called twice in 1 day.

This telephone number belongs to Pacific Telecom Communications Group.  They are a public utility who's business involves facilitating telemarketing calls, a possible violation of 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.
