calls 2-3 times per day no message

These people are both obnoxious and stupid, and that's the nicest thing that I can say about them. I normally ignore calls from fraudulent educational organizations, but these people are so persistent that I wanted to speak to a human being to stop their constant calling. I answered the phone and a woman told me that a friend had recommended me for their online educational programs. That is a lie because no one who knows me would ever do that. Using very clear English, I explained to her that I hold a Bachelors degree and dual Masters degrees from the University of Texas and a Ph.D. from TCU. I also made it clear that I am retired and definitely not interested in any more educational opportunities in this lifetime and requested that she please remove my number from their computer. She was very pleasant and laughed as she assured me that I would be removed me from their potential candidate list. Now I am at roughly 15 - 20 calls later, and the frequency in their calls seem to be increasing. It is unfortunate that medical science cannot discover a medication that will cure stupidity; but I'm convinced that even when they do, it will not work on these people.

I am on the do not call list, but still get constant calls from this phone number to my cell phone.  I have no idea who is calling and am very careful who I give out my cell phone number to but this is getting to be ridiculous.

I just got a new telephone # less than a week ago, after 15 years.  Wanted to start fresh.  No one even knows my # yet, but I have been called numerous times with this #.  

Anyone know where we can report it for real?

I get up to three calls a day from them.  Got one at 7:45 am today, that's against the law to begin with.  I answered the second tome, no one there, static; also static on my answering machine.  It is why I have my bedroom and hall phone ringers turned off and the sound off on my answering machine.  I understand they get paid by the connection, not if they really talk to you or sell anything.

Got another phone call (11:10am) from an out-of-state number
that I didn't "know" or recognize.  
I didn't answer, but looked up the number here.
They left no message.  

I am on the National Do-Not-Call List,
and have been for over a year now.  
(I guess this is our government at work for us.)

and see if that can get the government
to work for me, and stop these calls.

They call me every F'n day! I just let it go to voice mail. They never leave a message. If I don't know the number, simple I don't answer...

There's a Web site for New Co. Telemarketing at www.newcotel.com  -- sounds like it could very well be these annoying folks! Might be worth spreading that info around, as a first step in getting these idiots shut down.

I get frequent calls from this number and because I don't recognize it, I let it go to my voicemail, but there is never a message left.  I would like to have this number blocked if possible.

i'm tire of all the calls i recieve from scammers saying i 've won a million dollars or more calling from 876 area code all the tellamarkerters trying to sell me something.

This low-life has a job...that's all that can be said for these types of calls.  I have calls on my CELL PHONE - and I'm on the "Do Not Call" list - several times a day.  If calling me is ILLEGAL, then why do they keep doing it and why are they getting away with it?  I've reported ILLEGAL callers so many times that I can't keep track!!  But they keep on calling anyway.  Must be that the "penalties" for this type of illegal activity don't really apply...

Solve this problem with a SILENT ring tone.
To do this use the record option on your phone. Record SILENCE for 1 second. Save the phone number that you want and assign the name "Do not answer". Assign the silent ring tone to this number.

After that when they call you will not be bothered because you will not hear a ring as it is silent.  The only way you know they called is when you look at your phone and see that you missed a call. When you see the missed call was from "Do not answer" you can just laugh.

Does not block the call but otherwise solves the problem.
