Received a call from 386-761-4356. Don't know how they got this number. I just had it changed and it's non-published? I didn't even put this number on the do not call list, not to list it on the internet. I guess I have to go back to screening all calls first.

Received numerous calls about lowering Credit Card rates from this number.
I pressed #1 to talk to the beeacch, asked if she knew she was in violation
of FCC rule xxxxxxx (DNCL) and that I wanted to talk to the manager......
she hung up and I haven't heard back from them.

Have received 2 calls today from same caller. "Your current credit card. We have made several attempts to contact you...."  When I press 1 to speak to someone and they answer, I tell them I want this number off their call list and they hang up.  When I *69 it, I'm told I can't get the number.

same thing as above, they call several times, when I go to find out more info after the " we've tried to contact you several times" message, I pressed 1, got a woman, played along, she said the company name was "credit card services"
I asked who they worked for , she said mastercard visa- when I asked for a # to call back she said that I had to qualify first- I explained that the # on caller it was disconnected and  not legit, she asked  what #, when  I continued to probe she hung up- how can these people get away with this?

I just got the number and called it back just to see what happens.  Guess what, the number is disconnected which means that number is being used to fool your caller id.  What I have started doing is using the answering machine as my screener and calling only the ones back that I want to talk to.  The only calls I pick up are the ones that I recognize the area code or the number. Trying #69 won't work.

I wish I knew there real number.  I would call them 5 times a day just to piss them off.

I have received the same call regarding my credit card many times and a few of them I pressed one and asked that they stop calling and that we are on the do not call list.  I have been nice, but after today I will no longer be nice.  The guy that answered had a very explicit sexual comment to give.  I have filed a complaint with the police department, filed a complaint with the national do not call list and better business burrow. Any more ideas out there?

They called my cell phone this morning - I'm on the DNCL. Didn't bother to leave a message. Same thing with all other numbers from Florida - IF that is where they are really located. Once I see Florida - I don't bother with the calls.

They have taken this to a whole new level.  It was the same car warranty people that call all the time from different numbers.  I always tell them that I am going to sue, etc., and then I hang up.  As soon as I hung up, the phone rang immediately with a different number (213-321-6218) and the same man was one the line.  I repeated my statement about suing and hung up.  He immediately called me back three times using the second number.  The last time I let the phone ring and it rang about 15 or more times.  So now they are going harass us for telling them to stop calling.  This has gone way past ignoring them.  They need to be prosecuted.  I now feel threatened.

I REPORT THESE SCAM ARTISTS TO .GOV EVERY TIME THEY CALL. AT FIRST WHEN THEY CALLED WE TRIED TO TELL THEM WE WERE ON THE DON NOT CALL LIST, THAT DID NOT STOP THEM. THEN MY HUSBAND PLAED ALONG TO GET INFORMATION AND WHEN THEY DIDN'T LIKE THE DIRRECTION IT WAS GOING THE MAN SWORE AT HIM AND HUNG UP. wE HAVE RESORTED TO GETTING A HUMAN ON THE PHONE AND BLOING A POLICE WISSLE IN THEIR EAR FIGUIRING EVENTUALLY THE MESSAGE WOULD GET TROUGH TO THEM TO STOP BOTHERING US. THEY MUST BE PRETTY STUPID BECAUSE THEY HAVE YET TO GET THE MESSAGE. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY OUR GOVENMENT CAN'T PUT A STOP TO THESE MORRONS.

I received a call this morning, beginning with an automated recording stating "we have made several attempts to contact you regarding your credit card balance, this will be the last attempt...".  It goes on and asks you to press "1" to speak to a person.  I am assuming this is to alarm someone that they have not made their credit card payments, etc.  Well, I pushed "1" only to talk to a woman who wanted to inform me that she'd received all of the information regarding all of my credit cards from the credit card financial institutions, and she wanted to know the interest rates of each card, and the balance.  Of course I figured this was a scam, so I asked her how I could verify with my financial institutions that this is a legitimate company.  She responded by telling me that she has to qualify me BEFORE she can give me a contact phone number, address, or any other information! I played along and asked her exactly what information she was looking for.  She said she needed to verify an account number, but wanted me to read the account number to her!!  Of course, I told her that wasn't going to happen, but I really do feel sorry for those who don't know better, and give that kind of information over the phone.  If you've learned nothing else.... please demand that they provide a contact phone number, check with your institution, and look the phone number they call you from up online.  After I laughed and hung up on her, I called that  that she called me from -- only to find out what I already knew... it was a disconnected number.

Have been on Do Not Call for years yet I've received two calls from two different FL phone numbers on two successive days with this credit card scam. (there's one on auto insurance, too).  They must be running out of folks to call to have to double up!  I am wondering if there is some kind of whistle that I could blow into the phone that would seriously compromise an eardrum when I press the 1 button to speak to "the representative."  Am sure these folks are not to blame but I doubt they'd want to call me back after that.  Any ideas?

I received a call this morning....when I hit the "redial" button, a connection was made and recording came on "that the number I dialed has been disconnected, and no longer in service" who is this? Does anyone out there know? Its very troubling and I really don't have time to deal with these disruptive calls. I would appreciate it if anyone out there can give me some additional info, so that I can call my local phone company to put a block on my phone. Thanks to anyone out there that can help me find out where this call is coming from.

I've been getting these calls for weeks, and just got another. This time I played along and told the woman I had tons of credit card debt and I really needed help. She said they could only help me if my credit cards were OPEN, ha! I told her that I had planned to cancel several of them and she got all "oh, no, that will ruin your credit rating!" When I told her no it wouldn't she got nasty and told me I'd need a lawyer, then hung up. I want these calls to stop!

I get calls from this # every other day.  3 times today at my business while I'm on the phone with real customers trying to do business.  This has been going on for maybe 6 months now.  Does anyone know of anyway to get this to stop?  I mean there has to be something that can be done, it's harrasing and hurts business.

i can't help out with recorded messages, but a sure fire way to stop the live calls from telemarketers and people checking on your credit etc. Go the the hardware store and buy an airhorn. They cost a few dollars and I'm sure that I have cost several of those callers their eardrums. You know its a telemarketer because there is a silent beat before they start talking. I give them a blast of the airhorn and that does the trick. They think again before calling back. I urge everyone to do this.

It would not surprise me if the credit card companies had something to do with it. I called them to inform them about these calls and they were not at all surprised, just tried to sell me protection.
