I have a prepaid phone (so there is no way I owe these folks money) but TELUS has texted me 8 or 10 times in the past 3 days to remind me that my feature will update soon. ENOUGH ALREADY - I GET IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no go away.

Hi, this is Telus. If you have an arrangment to make a payment for a future date with them, they ask you if you would like a text confirming the amount agreed apon along with a Thank you.
4000-500-0205 is the number attached to that text. Hope this helped :)

I received text msg from this number as well, credit card expiry request, from Koodo. they asked me to update my profile, no links offered or reply to their text required. seems legit to me as I've ignored their email regarding same thing. :o)

Regular texts on phone from this number advising me to update my credit card which expires at the end of this month. Except that card was compromised in the summer and replaced. I no longer have a card expiring when "Telus" says, and I've updated all payment plans with them. Sounds like a hoax to me. Spam scam.

I got one of these today, your credit card is about to expire call TELUS. More junk. Why are these people still in business after all these years of spamming people.

I got the same number and it was Koodo telling me that my ebill is available.
| DA 2011-12-02 04:30:54 Unknown |
I honestly think this is a government filter message.
I text a friend saying "I left the back door open"
Right away I got a message from the 1-400-500-0205 reading US msg.
Try texting "I always leave my back door open" and see if you get a message back from the 400 number.
Weird I know but they filter words...

I too have telius and receiving texts, I texted back, that they are harassing me, my phone is pay as go and I really dont want to pay for this crap
| Janet 2011-10-16 16:11:56 Unknown |
Isabella, you must have a pay-as-you-go account or something and they just want you to know that you could soon run out of talk/text time on your phone. It's a courtesy reminder because they want to ensure you keep using the phone, of course, and I'm sure you don't want to not be able to use your phone and have the inconvenience of having to call them up to sort it out.

This is a number used by Telus/Koodo to contact you. I just received a text from this number on another Telus phone I just got and it was just a "Thank you for choosing Telus" msg.
Also, someone above said *611 is for contacting Telus (mostly for repair/tech support, but you can access other departments), but #227 is also a way to get in touch with the account management department.

I activated a new Telus cell phone yesterday & got a call alert from 1-(400) 500-0205, but there was no message. I tried to reply but phone # was invalid? The Telus dealer did not recognize the # either, nor is it on any phone search engine. I live in northern BC, had the same cell # under Rogers for 6 years with no such contact. This is a Telus database issue!!
