Thanks, DV! I was waiting for a call from W&I and that phone number came in three times, but every time I answered, it hung up. After doing a search for the #, I found your post and immediately called my Dr. office. Sure enough, it was them.  Thanks again!!

Yes, It's from *any* extension at Women and Infants' Hospital. I used to work there. You cannot call that number back as it is only an outgoing phone portal. Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital have the same type of set up as do a lot of large companies.

Women and Infants?  Hmmmm.  I returned the call only to get a busy signal.

Hang up calls on wireless phone/no message left. When I return a call it is a busy signal.

called my cell twice in one day  a few months back looking for the same person both times, said my number was on the patients list for contact, just called again today looking for the same exact person. they need to ask the patient for the number again so i dont have to keep walking away to answer my phone

It is a Women and Infants generic number....so that you can't call back to the actual line.

Two afternoons in a row - I've received a voicemail from this number and it's just classical music. I got the call at the same time each day - 5:30pm. I wish they'd stop it.

called, didn't leave a message, i called back and all i got was a busy signal.  perhaps they called to remind me about an appt. i have tomorrow, i think that it would be more professional to leave me a message though...

It's Women & Infants Hospital. This is the number that appears on Caller ID when someone calls you from there. I work there.

the number says wireless caller but when I call the number back I get a busy signal but I was also told the phone is a Women Infants Hospital number
