They have been calling me for almost a week I know I have medical bills but I am paying as agreed with each Dr/Hospital
they don't call my home only my cell phone which I can only assume they want the person that had the number before me.  I know she never paid her bills because the first year of having my cell phone I got about 30 phone calls a month.
But if this person/company would say something or answer their phone I could tell them that

I have been getting two calls a day from this number for nearly a year.  They stopped for about 2 months, but keep calling.  I've tried answering the calls, but no one is there and it hangs up after 15 seconds.  Most of the time I ignore the calls since I know no one is ever on the other end.  Every now and then I get a voicemail, but it's about 7 seconds long and no one is talking.  I have no clue who this is and at this point, I consider it harassment!  I've blocked their number through my phone carrier, so I hope that helps to end these robo calls.  Obviously these are computer generated calls from some company, but if you can't ever speak to someone at that company, how are you supposed to get them to stop?

I've been getting calls from this number now twice a day for over 5 months. I tried to answer and call them back the first few times, but whenever I do answer there is nothing but silence. To date this number has called me 300 times since January and has never said a word, nor left a voicemail. I will be going to the authorities tomorrow. I thought it might be my ex (whom I have a restraining order on), but now that I've found this site I know thats not the case.

They are making harassing phone calls to where I used to work.

Keep getting calls for someone who DOES NOT LIVE HERE!! If/When someone says anything when I answer, they ask for them and I have REPEATEDLY TOLD THEM HE DOESN'T LIVE HERE GET ME OFF YOUR CALL LIST. One More call and I'm contacting a lawyer!

BILL COLLECTION  This number looks like a cell phone number, so I thought it was one of my sons friends. When you call back they put you on hold and say this is not a solicitation a representative will be with you  shortly.  They have been calling me everyday for weeks I finally got ahold of them and the lady kept asking me is this such and such there and I'm like who is this and she's like is this such and such. I said, " who is this? you've been calling this number every day I want to know who this is" and she's like, WoW! with that attitude! no you're the one who keeps calling this number.  I want to know who you are so finally she hung up! okay don't call here asking questions identify yourself before you find out who you're speaking to when you dial this line!!! but yeah its a bill collector  MCA hope it helped bye.

Have called a few times. It looks like they're some kind of collection agency for medical bills. I don't owe any medical bills though.

Call from time to time and never leave a message. And I don't owe any medical bills. I used to, but they were all taken care of. Same thing with my student loans.

Been calling me a few days....I got all upset because who wants creditors calling them. Thinking "what did I do?!" They were looking for someone I know through me......seriously bro?!!!!

I get calls from them and it is from a hospital bill in which they are already garnishing my wages over, SO I do not feel like they should be calling me!!

Just got a call from them. I answered and there was nobody on the other end. It looks like it's some kind of collection agency for health care or something. But i don't owe any medical bills.

I am wondering if they said that this is an attempt to collect a debt this would be recorded

GOT A CALL FROM MERCHANT CREDIT I TOLD THEM THEY ARE HARASSING ME AND I KNOW THEY HAVE ALL READY CALLED 8 Times all ready today and the lady on the phone says no we haven't I said to her hello have u heard of caller I'd my phone keeps track of how many times u have called and I have been writing this down so I can show my. Lawyer the proof I have proof on paper that they called me every day up to 8 times for each week a whole month so they think they can deceiveme well I can hold some thing againts them to so we both can play there game

Merchant credit have called every hour every day all month long  talk about harassment  they don't get the hint when you talk to them on the phone or when you don't answer the phone that u don't want to talk to them company's need to stop using theses credit collection company and deal with the problems them sells it doesn't even help to report this place to better business beuro they act like they don't care time time start talking to a lawyer and see what rights I have against merchant credit

I have had this same problem where no body leaves a voice mail and they call all the time

I've been reading the comments I understand its a collection agency, how do you get them to stop? Short of changing your number which I'm thinking about

They are calling my house every single day... They will go to voicemail, but will not leave a message.... I finally called them today and the guy was RUDE... Looking for this person... I said good grief did you buy this debt, if it's the person I know, she did not live at this address and she's been dead for 17 years... He got mad and said he can't give me any information.  They can call you and want information, but they can't give you none...
I'm sure they buy old debt and hope to make a fortune off of it...

They call several times a day, never leave a message and 9 out of 10 times no one on the other end if i answer. If there is a person they demand i verify my social, i of course refuse and demand they send proof of debt and they ALWAYS promptly hang up then. I've done some research and it appears they may be a real debt collection agency but very shady. What floors me after reading all the complaints about this company is that they have an A+ rating with the BBC! Only 20 official complaints!  We need more people to file official complaints or Merchants Credit Adjusters inc is going to keep harassing people with there unprofessional ways forever!

Answered phone and got music only. I kept saying hello and eventually it got quiet, I heard beeps like someone was trying to dial, then the call disconnected.

Yeah this company is in definitely a relation of the few laws. They called me several time at work but when I asked them why they were calling I'd get hung up on. I found out who they were and sent a letter informing them that I couldn't have personal calls at work so they sent me a collection notice for $78.00 that's an insurance claim through my works eye insurance and when I showed the benefits department in HR I was told not to contact them and if they called again I was to inform HR immediately! And then just today I received another collection notice from them for a hospital visit in 2004 but there's no hospital name it just says hospital ER $189.00?!

I keep getting calls from 402-201-2839.  How can I block that number?  

They call my home phone several times a day, but do not leave a message. When I call them back to ask who they are, they ask if they called my number. Then they ask my name. I don't care for this approach. I hang up because I don't know who they are and don't want to get caught in a scam

This number keeps calling my cell phone - lets it ring one time, then before I can even answer it, they hang up. They have done this at least 3x a day for the last 2 weeks. Please stop!  

They call at least every day, have called twice today.  Do not leave message.  When I was able to answer, they hung up.  When I dialed back the number was able to get the company calling, but did not want to tie up my line.  I have a prepaid and my minutes are counted.  They have it go thru to my voice mail, but just let it go on and do not say anything.  I have no idea why they are calling.  I was getting message for another person last year.

We have received a call for weeks from this number at a business and then they hang up when someone answers. I finally decided to call and get our number removed. They said their system automatically does this and apologized. They said they would remove the number from their system within 24 hours.

They've called twice now and asked for the man of the house. The first time I was very polite to them and asked who was calling. She replied with Angie something. I then asked "and who are you with?". At first it was "excuse me?" So I politely asked again, "and why are you calling?" Then she got defensive and pissy saying
Her: "Well is this [man of the house]?"
Me: "No it's not why?"
Her: "well that's a personal matter and I must only speak with [him]. Is he available or not?"
Me: "no. He's not"
Her: " Well,then I will call back later" and she hung up
After that is when I began to read this page
Second time everyone was sleeping and my 10yo sister answered the phone. Overhearing what she was saying, she practically gave them the same treatment I did until I ran into the other room. I quickly picked up the phone, and my sister said to me "it's the same people" I then said to the person calling, how's about you never call here again or I'm calling the police, and I hung up. Waiting to see if they decide to test me and call back.

Amen to that. I thought the same thing.
