Comes up Lee Enterprises on caller ID, never a message. Call came at 8:40 pm, just as the old man fell asleep.....

I've called this paper three times requesting not to be called.  No results so far and I'm still getting calls from these jerks.  I'll never take that paper again.

I want the Lincoln Journal Star to quit calling me!

I realize some of these posts are pretty old, but I would like to let any future viewers of this page know that the sales team for the Journal Star is just a bunch of college kids doing their job. We don't control who we call, when we call them, how often we call them.. Nothing. So yelling at us about calling multiple times isn't fair. Also, as far as the Do Not Call list goes, if you say "stop calling me" "take me off your list" "quit calling" "F*** you".. It doesn't work. You have to specifically say "Put me on your Do Not Call List" or else we're not allowed to code you as a DNC. That's just how the laws work. And Lee Enterprises has multiple call centers around the country that call for newspapers. They each have their own internal DNC list, so if you ask may end up having to ask a couple of times to be put on the list. Although annoying, it's not the caller's fault. Take it up with customer service or something instead of yelling at or being rude to the people who are just trying to make a living.

I had the same thing happen. I actually went and found the email for the General Manager of Journal Star (it's on their site) and emailed them personally. She took care of it immediately. Just write her the day, time, and the line that called you and your number that they called and they can trace the employee that did it.

This number calls me all the time.  They even call as late as 855 p.m.  I finally answered and it is Lincoln Journal Star.

This is a Lincoln Journal sales number, I have called it and got a recording.....I left a message to please stop calling my number....

I keep getting this call about 9pm.  No message.  Very ignoring.

I've requested to be put on their Do Not Call list on three separate occasions, but just found another call from them tonight.  I used to take the Sunday paper, but finally dropped that since they wouldn't stop calling.  The Journal Star is clueless!

This is the Journal Star sales department.  I get calls from this number weekly.  Despite numerous attempts to have my number removed from my list. I have resorted to programming this number in my cell phone with a SILENT ringer.  I will never subscribe again!!!  What a GREAT way to irritate your former customers!

They call me all the time as well! Drives me nuts. A lot of times nobody even answers if I answer. I would like to tell them "your paper sucks and all the good info is put out online, so why do I need it?"

OH MY GOSH, thanks for this site I know now.  I didn't want to call back cause there was no voicemail.  Now I know- if they call again, I am answering and not speaking nicely.  Wow.

I am getting them now too.  I have just recently signed up to get Sunday's paper.  If they are going to start spamming my phone, they will lose my business really fast!

I have been getting calls from this number for some time.  I answered it once and it was the Lincoln Journal Star.  I called the number and it was in fact the Lincoln Journal Star.  If you get this call again, just call them back and file a complaint.  On Monday, March 24th at 6:51 PM, the individual calling my cell actually left a message this time.  Well, sort of.  It was nothing but 30 seconds of heavy breathing.  This is the first time that call went to voicemail.  I have called and filed a complaint with them and to have my name removed from their lists.  The one or two calls from this number that I did answer came from their subscription dept trying to get you to sign up for more papers.  Apparently they don't know that someone they have working for them has nothing better to do than call numbers and breath heavy.  So, that's who it is...the Lincoln Journal Star.
