Left no message so I do not have any idea why they called. If they call again I will block them.

Called the number back just moments after they called and at first got nothing. Called again and got a recording that says this number is no longer in service. That's funny it's in service the 5 times they called me.

Tell them you do not do business over the phone,only face to face.

Was robo caller from Verizon wireless billing dept. They use different numbers constantly.

1-402-817-0723 leaves voice mail messages that are nothing but static noise.  Would like them to stop calling NOT interested in anything they have to offer!

I received a call on my cell phone and POB. I called back to have my number removed. They picked up the phone and knew exactally who I was. They asked questions then I cut them off and asked what this was for....Insurance Quotes. REALLY!!??

DO NOT BELIEVE WHATEVER THEY ARE SAYING!!! It is entirely a scam. They will continue to call you and try to get you to to sign up for "better" substriptions but you will NEVER get your magazines. DO NOT PICK UP!! or call or talk to in any form!

I have gotten many calls from this number in the past few days.  I am getting pretty sick and tired of them.  They are wasting my time and minutes.

They told me I was a finalist in a drawing for $18 million. They just asked how old I was, if I'm married or single, what kind of credit card I use the most among Discover, MasterCard, and one other, and asked what type of work I do, which I'm a full time student. Then they said good luck and hung up haha!

They keep calling me.  When I answer I am on hold and hear nothing but music.  I called back from a different telephone number.  They refused to identify themselves, tell me what the call was about but tried to strong-arm me into giving them personal information concerning my telephone number full name social security number and etc.  They were not cooperative, extremal;y evasive and down right rude.

Just got 2 voice-mails from this number. I wasn't lucky enough to get the music...all I got was loud, continuous static, both messages. I tried calling back, was put on hold by an automated answering machine, and then the line went dead within about 5 minutes. I also got the same thing earlier in the day from 520-399-6721. When I called them back, I was again put on hold after being asked by an automated answering machine to wait for the next available representative, and after about 30 seconds got the message the the office was closed. I don't know who they are, but they are irritating me to no end. These calls come on my cell while I'm at work.

I just received a call from them and i called it back they telling me i was picked to win 1 million dollars cash... but then after talking they get you by telling you something about you was pick to select some magazines... so its a scam...

I do not want this number to call me back again, they call me over and over again and at the end they just want my credit card info.

Some Company that calls you and leaves a message of music. It is a Magazine subscription company when you call back, and you can go through a automated option list to be put on their do not call list.

Received call from this number but didn't pick up because don't recognize number.  Voice message was left.  When message was listened to, there was elevator music for 15 seconds.

Please stop pressing buttons when you receive a call like this!

Here's what is going on:

This company and other companies like it are walking a fine line of what is legit and legal business and what is not. What they are officially collecting is "call response profiles," which basically means they are logging your phone answering patterns. By answering at all, you initiate the first call answering behavior. By pressing buttons, any buttons, you are demonstrating which priorities are important to call recipients. This data is collected and sold to other telemarketers who are subject to the do not call lists. These information gathering companies are not really subject to telemarketing laws because they are conducting "voluntary surveys."

The best way to end these calls is to avoid making any selections or even answering in the first place. Each time you answer and respond, your number is logged as a viable resource for future calls from other numbers.

Hope this makes sense and educates people.

SCAMMERS!!!! Just called me and told me I won 25k coming up in July. And all I had to do was get some magazine subscriptions to be a finalist. Asked me my age, what I do, which card I prefer to use ect. I was all excited until the end when he said I would be paying 24.95 a month for this. He also said I would be recieving a 200 dollar gift card, in which I could only use 25 dollars a month. If thats not sketch I don't know what is. Don't call them back!!!

have received multiple phone calls from this number.  no one is saying anything and sounds of static are the only things i hear.

Received this call several times while gone and finally picked up.  It was supposedly Publishers Clearing House verifying info.  The questions were innocuous and the call was quick.

You actually answered his questions? This is obviously a social engineering attempt to get your personal info! No, I do not have proof, so my logic is not sound here, but, still, more than likely, this is a scam.

With the economy as crappy as it is right now, why would you believe this call was legitimate?

got this phone call a couple days ago,said that I win $25,000.such a scam.I just ask them how much fee I shoul pay to get the $25,000 becauce I know its a scam.they said no fee,just need sign something.then I said you take the 25,000,I do not need,and hang off the phone.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS ALSO GUYS, I HAVE BEEN GETTING A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER ALSO AND OTHER WEIRD #'S AND JUST CHECKED MY BANK ACCOUNT AND HAVE 3 CHARGES FROM STATES IVE NEVER EVEN BEEN TOO!!

They called me and said I was a finalist for $20K prize - they said they got my number from a partner site but when I asked for the site, they said they didn't know.  They asked which credit card I use the most, my age, occupation, if I was single and if I was planning on going back to school.  I think they are trying to fill out information in a telemarketing database so that they can do targeted advertising.  Really annoying, they called my cell, which is technically illegal, and I am on the do not call list.  How the hell did they get my number!?  Who sold it to them??? SUPER annoying.  Don't give them any information.  They wouldn't even say what company they were from on the call or on the automated message you get when you call the number back.
