This is not a scam and they are not selling anything.  They are a reputable company and provide a valuable service and are simply calling to confirm that your business name, address, and industry are correct in their free internet listing.

In order to gain higher google ranking in google places I have to register my business on many directories. This is one of them and i "THINK" it is a real directory however I just got a call from them to verify the directory info. It sounded exactly like a Public Yellow Pages ad SCAM that was recently attempted on me. Here is what they did. They called and verified all the directory info asking yes no questions. then they wait 3 months and call back claiming I agreed to a premium listing for $599 and when I tell them they are crazy they play an EDITED tape of my voice saying "Yes" to the $599 listing. I almost fell for it but I google Public Yellow Pages and found out it was a scam. (My state Attorney General confirmed it is a huge scam) Express Info usa is SUPPOSE to be a real directory so I confirmed the info but I wrote on my calendar the date they called so if I get a call about some premium listing in a few months I can tell them I know what they are up to and report them to the FTC and the AG's office like I did Public yellow pages. (Public Yellow Pages has never contacted me after I told them I reported them) if they are legit then it's all good. These directories are a necessary evil for small photography companies like myself that are trying to gain google citations for ranking purposes.

They called at 8:30a...when I don't recognize a ph number I let ans machine pick up..I heard what they said...express update.....seriously, this is a service that is needed ?
Another one to add to the list of bs calls.

They don't mind calling before 8am either!  What a "business."

Here's a hint:  Give all these guys a fake name for the business owner, then anytime someone calls asking for the fake name you can instantly know it's a telemarketer.

Just received call from Express Update, an internet update service  402-930-2659.  If you advertize
a business on the internet, they are paid top verify current info.  There is no reason for this.

They called me, but i was busy, couldn't answer. They left a message- they are Express Update from Info Group. If I wanted them, I would call them, so please do not call me....

yup, they just called around 11.45 AM EST.

did not give email address but the name :( looks like i will start getting more junk mails now.

Just so you know, they called my business and it is a law office!  So telling them that probably won't help.

This company calls but then hangs up at least twice a week!  402.930.2659

lady was nice about the fact i told her that hey, "ive had about 4 of you people call me today and i told all of them to take me off your list and im very irritated." she said, im sorry ill make sure to do that, have a nice day. we shall see how it goes.

Calls all the time I never answer does not leave a mess. must not be to important.

Identified self as Express USA".  Requested confirmation of address.  When told their information was incorrect caller asked for new address and when asked why this was needed said it was for a free listing"  When caller was told I did not want anything listed caller abruptly hung up.  I googled  "Express USA" and came up with an investigative service that does background checks and prepares subpoenes, out of Santa Monica Ca.    Caller said nothing about internet searches. I would  think a legitimate company trying to update business info for free would simply say so and certainly would not hang up on anyone.

Thanks for the info, was call to cell phone with no message called back and call could not be completed as dialed.

Asked them to give me a call back number and i`ll call right back....
They hung up on me.
A complete fraud.

Tried to call back the number and the recorded message was that the number was disconnected.....
Just as i suspected... a scam.

It is a scam.
They collect/ update information and then they sell the list to telemarketers.
The best way to confuse them is to either tell the person that they have dialed a wrong number or that yours is a law office......they won`t call again.

Express Business Update telemarketer, looking to update business info, they did not have correct data and I wasn't going to provide it.

I directed her to send an email to my co., yet nothing was ever received.

Wasn't in, saw the call on caller id and checked the message...all there was - was a burp sounding chirp.  Apparently they feed these search engine callers well.
