Traced this call throug AG, and found out that its an unauthorized independent or democratic left wing political organization from Ohio that is attempting to use robo calls to influence traditional conservative voters into believing that they are being harrassed by Tea Party or GOP so that they will vote  democratic, its incredible,..... they have been shut down in Ohio. Their outbound block of of numbers have been suspended in Ohio.  This bothers me because i am a democrat and hate to see these kind of tactics used. and reading the comments apparently they are being successful.

The calls are from a right-wing group trying to scare people into voting for Republicans.  It only works with the stupids.  But God knows, we have plenty of those in this country.

Rec'd one call from them on 4/23.  It only rang once.  Called back and say the number you have dialed cannot be completed.  What the hell is a service message?

Been getting several "Unknown" calls lately, but leaving no info as to WHO it is being left on caller ID; all have been with states' other-than-mine area codes. For me, no v-msgs are left, except for one, but it was just a piece, toward theend of what seemed to be an automated, or pre-recorded thing.

The one just BEFORE this one, caller ID said "Political Call" ... (I deleted accidentally b4 getting the # written down), and from what I'm reading *here*, it would seem there are several ways 'who/whatever' is trying to reach as many as possible, but has anyone actually talked to anyone from these calls?

Call from 402-982-0619, rang once or twice, then stopped. I see here this is a problem number for others as well. Just want to report, I got it too.

Caller ID said "SERVICE MESSAGE".  Recorded voice (male) said, "Press 1 for an important message about our nation's borders".  When I did, a second recording (same voice) said, "We believe protecting our borders is essential to the security of this nation.  Please educate yourself on this topic and vote accordingly."  No identification, no hint of who "We" might be, no opt-out, and when I called the number back it was not in service.

This is a robo-voice recording from some political TEA Party group bugging me on a Sunday afternoon. How rude. I don’t want their politics. If it were a real person I would have told them to not call me anymore and to become part of the solution and quit complaining. What a F*#K**G waste of money, time, and energy.

Service Message is what the caller ID said. The phone rings 2 times and caller hangs up.

Sneaky, male teenage sounding voice tells me in a threatening tone to be aware of the Tea Party demonstrations going on.  I called the Lincoln police and they said if I wanted to file charges I would have to call the police in my town in Ohio.  They tried to identify the number but couldn't. When I called the number back several times, got only a busy signal.

telling me that my intrest could be lowered now and to hang on for the next operator, then it disconnected, good riddance go the two ring call be in less the two minutes

Caller ID said "service message" and the call hung up after two rings before my answering machine could pick up.

I answered it because I thought (serves me right, thinking) that I would tell the caller to #@*!*@ing take my phone number off their cold-calling list. Instead, I said "Hello" and a male, prerecorded voice started talking about the Tea Party, and the entire message only took about ten seconds.

Probably more of the solicitations for donations to Indian reservations books,healthcare,etc.? Or extended auto warranties? or creditcard interest reduction plans..?

One important note to those who complain about getting these calls and who are on the Do Not Call list.  Charitable organizations and political parties are EXEMPT from the Do Not Call list so they are allowed to call as much as they want.

Another ignorer of the national "Do Not Call" list apparently.  Caller ID merely listed Service Message.

402-982-0619 CID=Service Message / no message left / has to be an illegitimate telemarketer because a legitimate service message from a legitimate vendor would obviously be identified or it would have no legitimate purpose

Received a telephone call from 402-982-0619, the caller did not leave a voice mail message.  I do not answer telephone calls from unknown numbers.
