No message...

Recording said if interested in message about our borders, press 1.  On pressing 1, recorded voice says "We believe it is vitally important to preserve our borders.  Please educate yourself and others on the subject."  Or words to that effect.  Then hangs up

We recieved a call our caller ID showed it as "Service Message" 1-402-982-0770.

Not Knowing Who it might be we do not answer But we do Google the # to learn if we want to speak to them.

This is the type of calls we had hoped the Governments "NO CALL LIST" would stop. It is apparent that it isn't working as expected so we are glad to report these calls in the hopes that they will discontinue.

call comes in from out-of-state and no one answers for 20 seconds, then just a automated "good-bye"

Got one from 402.982.0770 and from 402.982.0742.

0742 had no message and just disconnected, 0770 had nothing, then an automated 'Goodbye.'

WTF?

4029820770 calls my cell almost daily.  When I was answering it, it just was silent and then said, "goodbye".  I  tried calling it back but message says phone number is not a working number.  This not-working-number still calls me daily!

This same telephone number calls several times a week during weekdays, in the last case, the call came in on a Monday at 10:46. I answered on the second ring, caller hung up after 13 seconds. CID comes in as "Service Announcement"

Haven't tried to complain yet - but this may be worthwhile.

Received a call about debt consolidation....at work. Obviously trying to solicit business. I said that I was not interested.

Sure Sale Auto Scammers Again, j***off goes by Chis, John, John Paul, complete scam.

SURE SALE AUTO, LOCAL DEALER MARKETING SERVICES, AUTO SELLER NETWORK, SPECIALTY AUTO NETWORK, EXPERT AUTO, USA MOTORS, ONE STOP MOTORS?? All the same company???. All from 702 and 402 area codes.
Caller are desperate low-paid(commission only) scumbags from one of these BS market your auto companies.  They will lie to you and tell you they have a buyer for your car.  They spam Auto Trader and Craigslist ads.  They will lie about having buyers, financing, marketing, websites, etc., anything to get you to give them your credit card number so they can charge you for non-existent marketing services.  They also do not follow the law and call numbers on the National Do Not Call List.  They also do NOT maintain a Federally Required Do Not Call List internally.  Asking them to put you on their Do Not Call List will get you nowhere.   These scumbags will call back again and again and again to harass you.  Avoid these frauds !

and file a complaint against these frauds for calling you if you are on the national do not call list or if you have already told these scumbags to put you on a Federally required internal do not call list.


Also, these companies are VERY WELL KNOWN for coming to these sites and posting fake praise for their company.  It's part of their plan.  They know they get flagged all over the internet and search out the complaints.  They post fake good reports about themselves continually.

I keep getting a call from this number which I repeatedly ignore.  I called the number from my work and got a recording stating "your call cannot be completed as dialed".....how can we stop this nonsense

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone.  Recently listed a car on cars.com, and that's the only place my number has ever shown up publicly.  

I didn't answer - you never know when there's some kind of key that will allow others to charge something to your phone bill.  

I mean, I guess you COULD know if you take the time to educate yourself, but in all practicality, it's easier to just ignore the call.

Weird anoying calls. No message

I can confirm with Some Guy (aug 17) exactly what happened to me just now.

It is a very odd call, and it does make me wonder why I am even on the do not call registry.  It's not like it does anything.  There's nobody that will enforce the law, and heck who knows if it's even a law yet?

As soon as I saw the number I jumped on here and saw this posting, glad this site is around!

I don't usually pick up unrecognized numbers, but I did just order something from a company in Omaha, thought it might be them.

Recording said "Press 1 to hear an important message about our borders."

So I pressed 1, why not.

I'm paraphrasing here but they said something like "Our border security is critical to the security of our nation.  Please educate yourself and vote accordingly.  Thank you."

Didn't seem to promote any particular house or senate bill, candidate, or idea.  Weird call.

we got one sunday night 08/09/2009 at almost 10pm. rang twice and hung up.
makes me wonder why i am on the do not call list and do not receive blocked calls. my family knows how to reach us. we are at the point we do not even look when the phone rings. unless the phone companys do something about this people will be giving up the land lines. if they listed these bogus names in a directory it would be a phone book that was 6ft tall book with just the unknown listings. unless we know who they are we dont answer plain and simple.
