While doing more research this company will want you to pay via moneygram, there receiver code is 7031, he told me it stands for  (VPS victims/payment/service) on money gram the name for that code is (Vantage Point Service in Buffalo NY). They are well known for these types of scams and have been reported so they changed there company name from Morgan Lewis & Associates to Colmen & Farrell Associates. What people will do for a buck.

I received the same call (s) on 8/2013 as above from 404-334-7208 and 404-334-7193. A man said his name was Kendel Minter from the law office of Colmen and Farrell Associates. Told me an arrest warrant is being issued for me and the police would be at home and/or work to arrest me. BUT.. if I paid $1,100  to settle the debt for a 2005 payday loan they would stop the District Att from signing the warrant. When I started asking questions he transferred me to a Brian Austin (the Attorney in the office) he told me I had to pay that day because the warrant would be signed that afternoon. I checked with the state of Texas and there is no attorney by this name listed, since it was a Atlanta area code I checked with the state of Georgia also... no attorney or law office listed. I did find numerous people with the same experience.

I just had someone call me as well.  Same story...felony warrant for my arrest was to be issued at 1:00 today.  I called the clerk of superior court and they told me it sounded like a scam and suggested that I have someone investigate them.  I am calling my attorney to have them place a call, and I am going to report them to the Attorney General's Office as well.

The same just happened to me!! although my niece answered. They told her that they were officers and they wanted to speak to me about an arrest warrant that came up under my name.

They wanted my cell number so they could "talk to me" about that warrant. I decided that I needed to check that first before calling them back about my "warrant" (I've had those before and no one calls to inform you about them).

I looked them up and also had someone else call that number and someone with the name "Thompson" answered.

I guess it's just people that have no actual life of their own and so they compensate by bothering others.

They called me several times at work.  When I didn't answer they actually spoke to the receptionist and told her that there was a warrant for my arrest and that they must speak to me.  So she called me and told me I had to take the call.
The said there was a warrant for my arrest because of a bad check.  They wouldn't give me any information about the check.  I told them to wait and I would get my lawyer's phone number but they couldn't wait.  They just said that someone would be at my office at 4:00 to arrest me.
I called my attorney and he said it sounded like a scam, but he also called them and they haven't called me back.  Usually they threaten a person enough that they agree to pay something to them, because they actually make them feel like they are guilty!

That was on Monday and it was awful!  I was scared and I couldn't even think of a check that was bad that I had ever had!  But they make it sound so real!

They identified themselves as from Atlanta Legal Services.  But when I looked up this company on the internet, they had a different phone number.

Scammers and they are awful!  They should be in jail!
