They called and my voicemail picked up. They said "Thanks for participating in the "Average American Saturday" (whatever that is) and they mentioned the $100 Walmart gift certificate. I knew it was a scam from they so I am just basically confirming it's probably the same people. Hopefully, I wont get any more calls from them. People, don't fall for the gift certificate.

I have just received a phone call from AVG American Survey and I didn't answer it so they left a message saying that I won a $100 dollar Wal-Mart gift card. It says to press 1 now to speak to an agent. Just because, I called the number and there's no ring or anything. It just sits there.

It's something about Edison, which I've found online to be Edison Magazines. they called one day & had a recording for participation in a presidential survey, which I completed. they called again today to offer me a $100 gift card or voucher - not sure what she said - to Walmart. I pressed one to be transferred, she wanted my name, a number (which I stated they called, but she claimed to not have), then went on to ask for my address, which i wouldn't provide. I asked who she was with, and she said Edison. I said I wanted to know more about the legitimacy of it, which she stated "you pressed one so you must trust Walmart". LOL. I said you're not Walmart, though! She again asked for my address; she stated she needed it to verify if i was eligible. i asked why she wouldn't verify if I was eligible first before taking my information. Her response was that I obviously wasn't taking this seriously & that I should call back when I was ready...blah, blah - that's when I hung up on her.
From what I've read on other sites about this company, they try and get you to buy some magazines and then they send you a voucher for a percentage off or some other junk AFTER you've gone through way too much effort to obtain the "discount voucher".
