I doubt even a report to the Attorney General will help in the short run. This scam has received media attention all over the country and is in the current or a recent AARP Bulletin and yet they are still calling people all over the country trying to con seniors into a long term monitoring contract with hefty early termination fees. One tactic you can try is to get on the phone with them and waste as much of the agents time as possible by asking a lot of questions, acting hard of hearing to make them repeat themselves or even set up a fake appointment giving them a fake address in the next county. Other than that see if your phone company allows you to block numbers or purchase a hardware call blocking device that can handle a large list of numbers such as the Pro Call Block 2.0 or the Digitone Call Blocker.

OK, now they call back again at 8:44 pm. "This is John, and I am trying to deliver your medical alert system. This system has already been paid for." So this call goes on and on, a recording. "John" says to press #1 to get the medical system shipped (reminded again that it's already paid for.) Press #5 if you already have a medical alert system. The recording quits. No way to talk to any one. This is just a bunch of garbage. These people have been on my answering machine before. How does anyone get to these people to tell them to stop calling? Does anyone have an answer? Does it take a letter to the Attorney General's office?

Just got a call from this phone number at 8:35 pm. No one there when I answered, so I called the number back and the phone doesn't even ring, just hangs up. Tried calling three more times and the same situation occurs. Frustrating! What the heck is the no call list for????

You are yelling at a recording. You do not get a live person until you press "1" or some other number. Pressing a number is likely a mistake since it will tell them someone actually answers your phone at the time they called and they will sell that information to other slimey telemarketers.

I've gotten 3 calls now from this jerk (that I've answered). The callerID text just says "Norman OK". When I try to interrupt his spiel he completely ignores me and continues on and on even though I am yelling at him by then. Oh, we've been selected for a medical alert "I've fallen and can't get up" service.

From the above informations, obviously this is a medical alert scam to kill, steal and destroy our credit?

They call late at night and hang up. Tried calling it back, all I get is a dead line no ringing or anything. I am going to report it to the local police if it keeps up.

It's a Shell station/convenience store/locksmith on No.Porter Ave in Norman. They keep doing the call hangup and they will get a visit from me.
