Not sure of the end game, but seems like a scam to me...
Please call me at (406) 532-5572 as soon as possible. I have a customer who is interested in buying a home in the Woodstock County area. You work in that area, right? The customer, Matthew, is already waiting to hear from an agent, so I wanted to get in touch with you as soon as possible. I look forward to getting to introduce you to Matthew.
Kind Regards,

I received an email from Wendy Johnson with REPL with buyer referral (named Chelsea) who is relocating to my area. I quickly googled the name and found this page, thank you. I wanted to add that her email address was wjohnson@realestatepipeline.com so I, quickly, typed www.realestatepipeline.com into my browser window. It's a real estate lead generation service so what they'll do if you respond is try to sell you an area or zip code.
Then I notice a disclaimer in the email: Real Estate Pipeline is an independently owned and operated real estate advertising services company for real estate firms and other real estate related entities. Real Estate Pipeline does not work directly with any real estate buyers or sellers. We do not receive any commissions or fees from any resulting transactions.

Thank you for starting this post. I've responded to the same opening volleys. Received and email. Called and got VM, so left message and then also replied to the email. So I've wasted about 15 minutes on this doing quick research on location from/to and then trying to look up her website. Thank you again - because now I go back to what I was doing and forget about this request! ;-)

I received an email from this Wendy Johnson stating she had a client named Joe, relocating to the area (Clearwater). I've left her two voicemails and two emails with no response. I just finished leaving her the 2nd voicemail and then decided to look her up since I didn't remember her name from Networking, and came across this site. I had a feeling this was bogus.
It's a shame people can't just be upfront about what they are trying to sell us. If their product is worthwhile why the need for the bait and switch?

The email was received the morning after I set my Realtor.com account.
Here is some more info - Missoula, Montana Area
"Real Estate, Lead Generation, Inernet Lead Generation company designed by real estate agents for real estate agents.
Our Mission: Make lead generation easier using the power of the internet combined with the human touch needed to ensure success on every level." - Linkedin
Just matching info from internet. I would not be even tempted to call back.

Same tricks. Never return such junk email. We'd better have a way to block the email address.

Wow. I got an email from Wendi saying that she has a client, Dan, relocating to the area. I called and left a message, then thought I'd look her up so I could get some information before sending her a follow-up email. I have never seen this website before now, but it's the first thing that came up when I put in her name and phone number. YIKES!!!
| Steve 2013-06-14 17:12:25 Unknown |
I got an e-mail message as well stating she (Wendy Johnson) had a customer waiting for me to call; he is wanting to move to Nashville -- said they do not receive any part of the commission. Odd? She's just doing this out of the kindness of her heart and she doesn't even know me? Scam. I thought so, too.

I did get the same email message from Wendy Johnson few days ago. She is got a client who is looking for a house in my area and need a realtor to work with. The phone she left (406-532-5572), it never respond and comes up with a v/m message.

Just received a voicemail message from the same number saying her name was Wendy and she was looking for an agent to list a home. From the other comments here I guess she's learning that in our current market in SoCal we need inventory more than buyers.
