I was asked to press 9 to talk to a rep but nothing connected and they wanted to talk to me about my credit card interest rate however i do not have any cards at all...

This number has called me 3 times today, every time I pick up nobody talks???

Robocall--I pressed nine to ask to be removed from their list.  The individual who answered proceeded to swear at me and tell me to shut the f*** up.  Who are these guys and how do we shut them down.

My method is to never pick up phone if I don't know person or number on Caller ID.  Thus, I never engage them at all.  I stopped when I told one I was on the ''do not call list'' and the reply was "that's only for people selling things, we are providing a service."  A ''sevice'' which requires my credit card number?  Duh.

I believe the following numbers are inter-connect4ed, i.e. the same source:

Eventually they stop calling.  Guess there are only five #s in the exchange 000.  And who ever heard of the exchange 000?  Some alternate universe maybe?

Exhange 000 is invalid - that is area codes and exchanges are never allocated starting with 1 or 0.  Ignore on sight.

they call and say your credit card has unauthorized charges,then ask for credit card number social and mother's maiden name. Thing is,i just turned 18 and dont have a credit card yet

I got a call from this number, missed it so didn't hear anything.
I saw that it was a different area code but the 000-   part really got my attention.

I get this call daily but with the last for different everytime.  I have pressed 9 several times to tell them to quit calling and I usually get hung up on but not this time. the man on the other end start calling me a f**ki** c**t and he was going to rape me and stuff my underwear down my throat.  It scared me and I hung up.  It is one thing to be called a name but to threaten me and describe what he is going to do is to much.  I don't know what to do or who to call.  The calls wont stop.  what do I do?

I got a call from this number, did not answer. I live in east TN and am on National and state do not call lists. I wish somebody would bust these scammers. Don't just fine them,throw their butts in jail. Maybe they'd think twice about trying it again.It would send a message to other would be phone scammers.

This came in as a missed call on 11/5/09 on my cell phone which is on the Do Not Call list.  I live in IN. I did not call back & will not answer if they call again.

received this call three times a day and it seems to be coming from canada area they get upset very easy when i refuse to give them any info I live in EAST TENNESSEE and I am on the do not call list but thanks to the fcc they now have access to all our cell #

I GOT A CALL FROM THE SAME # 407 000 6835 AND WHEN I PRESSED 2 I GOT A HOLD OF A LADY WHO AFTER I TOLD HER THAT I WAS ON A DO NOT CALL LIST SHE PROCEEDED TO CURSE ME AND THEN STARTED TALKING IN SPANISH I REPORTED IT AND THE PHONE COMPANY IS WORKING ON THEM IT IS A SCAM FOR YOUR CREDIT INFO AND IT ALSO IT COMING FROM CANADA

Watch out--these people are phishing.  I pressed 9 to tell them to stop calling me.  I reached a real jerk who swore at me when I asked questions about the company.  He called me a dumb b*tch.  These people are criminals--I reported them to the FTC.  You should too.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION ABOUT YOURSELF.

Just got a call from the same number on my cell phone. I did NOT answer the call because the 000 threw me off. It didn't seem like a real number. I also live in TN. Seems like they may be targeting specific states.

I tried to call this number back -- it  wont go through,  left no message. I have been receiving calls to lower my credit card interest.  so I wonder if this is for same purpose after reading other posts.

I received two phone calls today from this number, a little over an hour apart.  I did not answer either one.  I am also in Indiana and on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

I just got a call from this phone number on my home phone.  I didn't recognize the phone number so I didn't answer it.  My caller id says Florida call 407-000-6835.  I live in Indiana.

I also forgot to add that I live in Tennessee and I just got this call at 10:41am cst. Not sure if this 1-407-000-6835 number are trying to run a scam in a different geographical location or not.

I just got a call from this number (1-407-000-6835)but on my wireless phone and I too did NOT answer. I dialed the number back from my work phone and got "number can't be reached." How in the hell did these people get my cell phone number!!!!

I've received calls within the last week with the same area code and the 3 zeros but the last four digits were 1515.  When I answered one of those yesterday/Tuesday, Nov. 3rd and punched '9' as requested, I was told that a customer service rep could no longer talk to me. Today's 6835 number is the same company; I knew that when I answered the phone.  I had great fun with this dimwit of a 'customer service rep'.  He seemed so stunned when I said I had no credit cards.  (Actually I have 3 gas cards, but they're paid off.)Hope he - or someone else like him - calls again, then I'll have some MORE fun!  You think maybe I should find something else to do to occupy my time?...ha!

I answered a call from 407-000-6835 that said we were entitled to lower our credit card rates to 6.9%. If we wanted to that it would be expiring soon. SO I pressed it. When I asked what credit card company they were from because they didnt say , they hung up on me. I got worried so I researched the number. it didnt take long to figure out it is a scam of some sort. Be on guard!

did not answer phone - if I do not recognize the number, then I have got to the point where I don't answer.  But I am on the do not call list, so I wish they would get fined for this!

Have received at least 1 call a day including 1 call just a few minutes ago. The caller ID says name not found. The caller did not leave message.

Received phone call on my cell phone.  Recorded message saying to lower my credit card rate to 6.9%.  Push 9 to speak to operator but must do now. Pushed 9 as directed but after 5 rings they did not answer.

This sounds like an Identity theft scam that is taking place. I got 2 calls already from similar number (last 4 digits different). On the 2nd call I had pressed 9 and got someone with an Indian accent, I think the call was made from India. The phone numbers are bogus on the caller ID, they use call spoofing (they call a certain phone#, enter in your phone#, then enter phone# they want to appear on caller ID which most likely is a dead number), when you try to redial number, you get: "The number you trying to call is restricted or unavailable". After I got someone on the line, I kindly told them that my number was on the National Do Not Call list & person hungup. If someone was calling regarding your credit cards, they would already have all the information on their system and not ask for credit card#, S.S.#, or Mother's maiden name. The only time that they need that info is if you initiated the call to prevent someone else from accessing your account.

Whenever I received a real call from the bank regarding a security issue on a credit card, they would leave a message, and I would have to call back using the phone# that was on file linked to my credit account. When I call the bank# (same phone# on credit card that says "In case of lost or being stolen") my account would automaticaly come up on the sytem, then I would need to verify account info to confirm that I am calling and not someone else. Do not give out personal info over the phone if someone calls you unexpectantly. By the way, I am a widower in TN, my wife passed away 17 months ago, and it was her cell phone# that is being called.
