Please immediately report each and every one of these illegal robo scam calls that you receive to www.donotcall.gov.
You can gripe that it doesn't work, but they cannot do anything about it unless and until we report it!
Also, please note that these scammers have STOLEN the name and phone number of McEwan Martinez, so please don't go all crazy blaming that person. It could happen to you!

Ok, next time they call I'll take it just so I can get some info on them and turn it over to the State's AG, FCC and the FBI. If they're stealing someone else's number and using it to call across state lines it's a federal offense. They can be prosecuted and jailed. It's about time some of these debt collectors were incarcerated. I get these calls all the time because someone stole my identity, got credit cards, ran up bills and skipped out. I find it frustrating constantly having to prove myself to these jerks by faxing them documents, not to mention all the problems I had changing all my accounts. Then to be harassed by debt collectors, yes, definitely harassed, I don't need it. Put them all in jail.

if someone scammed your number then you should be reporting it to the police, FBI and FCC. they should easily be able to trace who has been using your number and stopped them after just a few weeks, not months that your number has been (allegedly) scammed. The FBI has jurisdiction because your number is being used to call across state lines. If you want to protect your reputation, stop your number from being used to make debt collection calls. The people who stole the use of your number can be prosecuted and jailed. But then, being lawyers, you should already know all this. Hmmm, has the number really been scammed?

Received a call on my home and cell phone today. No message on either. On DNC list as well - useless.
joy 2012-03-15 01:38:18 Unknown
received a call from the number ID only gave the phone number. No message left
Fed up 2012-03-14 23:13:00 Unknown
Forget the reward. Why should you offer to pay someone to investigate what the government should be doing with our tax money? How about asking for a refund of tax dollars from the government who set up the DNC list and allows these types of calls to continue to happen without consequence? There should be a column you fill out when filing your tax return paying you for each of these numbers you get for the year filed. Would add up to a tidy sum. If it could be put into force, you'd see how fast the government would really do something about them.
Fed up 2012-03-14 23:06:05 Unknown
I want my tax dollars back that paid for the DNC list. If it does nothing to prevent theses calls, then I deserve a refund (lol like that will ever happen) But maybe if people start to demand a refund from the government for a service paid for but doesn't work... who knows....

What ever it takes-- this kind of harrassment MUST be stopped. I like and support your impulse to reward info givers that would cause the prosecution of these mosquitos. They clearly have tech and financial resources that enable this unacceptable behavior. It would be such a deep joy (to many I'm sure) to learn of the very public redress of their actions that included the pain of an enormous financial penalty for this wrongdoing. Good luck in your quest to reverse the torment onto the deserving parties.

For sh*tz and giggles, I went ahead and pressed 1 to the phone call to speak to an opperator. The number is registered to a USA Vacations hotline. They most likely received your number from a sign up that you or someone registered your number to (these are mostly at trade shows for different products and industry). Anyway, I was also able to squeeze them out of their toll free number which is 18007468121. I also reported them to the no call registry as I am on this list. Lets see what happens.

Put these people in prison. Fines won't do any good, because they make so much money from their fraud.

I just got a call. Caller ID said it was from 407-210-2643, mcewan martinez. I answered but they hung up. I called the number back and got a short, recorded message saying, "You have reached the MiTell Voice Processing System." The call was then immediately terminated. Disgusting. Does anyone know anything about this? Who should I report this to? Thanks.

The name and phone number has been taken from a real person (Mr. Martinez). It is not his fault.
These scam artist illegal telemarketers are SPOOFING the Caller ID information that you see. The Walt Disney World thing is a scam. Do not talk to these crooks or give them any of your personal information.
We all need to report each and every scam call that we receive to www.donotcall.gov.

you can not block them, but they will find another way to get to your number by the heading, who ever the people are they are excellent scam artists. I believe it more than one person, and they have thousand of different names/numbers and idenities for themselves. I also receive emails in my email address name in my comcast inbox, but the domian was someone else, not found, I just delete the email, NEVER opened them.
Memphis, TN 2012-02-26 07:35:19 Unknown
got a call from (4072102643), but it does not display company name has the phone # in the heading so the scam artist are not listing the name. You can't block the number because they are revealing their name in such a way that it goes through to your phone line. I think the govt WILL, WILL not control these scams. They are not trying to with a the advance tech. support they have in the world today, it should be quite easy for them. They really should make an example out of one of the scam artist, but I think this is nothing to them unless you are a higher person in power. All I can say is just keep reporting them, do not answer a strange number, plz dont foward your home phone to your business number or cell phone....NO NO
