I have not used eBay in a while nor is my number listed on my eBay account. I also read someone say smiONE is a child support card. I have no link to child support in anyway. I am also debt free with no credit cards so how they got my information is beyond me.

My cell number is a Missouri listing but I am located in North Carolina. It seems none of us have anything in common. I wish we could find out where they got our numbers from.

Got the same text. Unless you recognize the number, never call it! It is likely to be a scam.
You can always call from a blocked ID number for giggles and mess with them just to see how far they will go. Of course never provide any real details. You may be able to get a contact # for them to report other than the one you called.
Remember to do it from an ID blocked # or they will likely start calling you

We made a purchase through Ebay.  Used cell phone number as contact. Received same fraud text message later in day from: 4174258@vtext.com.  Message: (smiOne)Fraud Alert.Call 4074138481.Called from landline phone and received message "your account funds have been limited due to fraud. press 1 to release" Verizon owns Vtext.com. Planning to call them!

Also the number the that the Vtext came from was 4178501121 which when you do a search on that number, has been linked to many things including selling stuff on Craigslist.

My husband, stepdaughter and I all received this text within minutes with various information.  Mine said smiOne Fraud Alert, have no idea what that is.  There are alerts all over the news about the one ring scam, don't call it back.  

I got a text telling me to call this number today. It was a phishing scam asking for my social security number and credit card number. They wanted me to verify some crap because of recent thieves trying to scam people. They are the scammers. I understand that the cops never do anything about all the crap that comes from Nigeria, but how do these people operating in the US, Florida this time, keep getting away with it? One way is if you just ignore it. You have to report these people to stop them. Anytime you get one of these scams report them to the FTC.

it states:  ImportantNotice.Call:407 413-8481 [smiONE]Card.

Yes, I believe this is a fraud caller.  Please find out where these are coming from.

I just bought from Amazon, but cancelled text messages from a restaurant yesterday.

NO don't call. I just got the same message. They got warnings all over the place about scams going crazy here

SmiONE is the new child support card for MO.  I've been getting these fraudulent text messages too.  Never respond to a smiONE phone number that isn't the same as the number on the back of your card.
